Club (magazine)

Club is a monthly American pornographic magazine which is a spin-off publication of the United Kingdom's Club International. Club features sexually oriented articles, video reviews, and pictorials that include hardcore pornography, masturbation, dildo usage, and lesbianism.

History

During the early and mid 1990s the magazine featured softcore and simulated sex pictorials and had at least two contract models that appeared monthly (Charmaine Sinclair and Jo Guest). Club and its UK sister publication, Club International, are the flagship publications for Paul Raymond Publications which distributes eight of the ten top selling adult magazines in the UK.

The youngest model who was intentionally published in a nude pictorial in Club was Tamara Alleyne, an English model stated to be 16 years old, in the July 1976 and September 1976 issues. Alleyne also appeared in Men Only the same year and her age was likewise revealed there. Traci Lords was even younger (15) in the photos that appeared in the September 1984 issue (some of which had appeared in Paul Raymond's Model Directory in March 1984), but the magazine's staff did not know Lords was under 18.

Seamus Haji

Seamus Haji (born 30 December 1968) is a British record producer, who had a number one on the UK Dance Chart, with a cover of Indeep's, "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life". He originally released this as a single in 2004. The single originally reached #69 on the UK Singles Chart, and #13 on re-issue in March 2007 and #1 on the UK Dance Chart.

He is of Irish and Indian descent. He has remixed many tracks by other artists, some of which have been promoted as the main version of the track in question. "Boogie 2nite" by Booty Luv, which reached number 2 on the UK chart, being one such track. Haji has worked with many of the biggest names in music, including Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Moby, Mika and most recently, Jamiroquai and Estelle.

He often produces in partnership with Paul Emanuel, and together they had a UK Singles Chart hit in 2005, with their cover of True Faith and Bridgette Grace with Final Cut's, "Take Me Away".

Touch My Body

"Touch My Body" is a song by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey, taken from her eleventh studio album, E=MC² (2008). It was written by Carey, along with Crystal "Cri$tyle" Johnson, Terius "The Dream" Nash and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and produced by Mariah Carey and "Tricky" Stewart, and was released as the album's lead single on February 12, 2008. Lyrically, the song features a double message, with the first describing sexual fantasies with her lover, while also jokingly warning him against recording or releasing information regarding their rendezvous.

The song received generally positive reviews from music critics, with many highlighting the song's light pop melody and hook; however, it also garnered some backlash from certain music reviewers, who felt the song did not properly represent the singer's acclaimed 5-octave vocal range. "Touch My Body" became Carey's eighteenth chart topper on the Billboard Hot 100, making Carey the solo artist with the most number one singles in United States history, surpassing the record held by Elvis Presley. Additionally, it gave Carey her 79th week atop the chart, tying Presley for most weeks at number one. Throughout Europe, the song also achieved high charting, peaking within the top five on the charts in Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Lego

Lego (/ˈlɛɡoʊ/) is a line of plastic construction toys that are manufactured by The Lego Group, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company's flagship product, Lego, consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks accompanying an array of gears, figurines called minifigures, and various other parts. Lego pieces can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct objects such as vehicles, buildings, and working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects.

The Lego Group began manufacturing the interlocking toy bricks in 1949. Since then a global Lego subculture has developed. Supporting movies, games, competitions, and six Legoland amusement parks have been developed under the brand. As of July 2015, 600 billion Lego parts had been produced.

In February 2015, Lego replaced Ferrari as Brand Finance's "world's most powerful brand".

History

The Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (1891–1958), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932. In 1934, his company came to be called "Lego", derived from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well". In 1947, Lego expanded to begin producing plastic toys. In 1949 Lego began producing, among other new products, an early version of the now familiar interlocking bricks, calling them "Automatic Binding Bricks". These bricks were based in part on the Kiddicraft Self-Locking Bricks, which were patented in the United Kingdom in 1939 and released in 1947. Lego modified the design of the Kiddicraft brick after examining a sample that they received from the supplier of an injection-molding machine that Lego purchased. The bricks, originally manufactured from cellulose acetate, were a development of the traditional stackable wooden blocks of the time.
