by: Adolf Kaure --- The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry announced that the selling price for weaners dropped by up to N$ 2 per kilogram. The Ministry's Chief Veterinary Officer, Milton Maseke is not surprised by the reduction as the demand for weaners also declined.
by:Strauss Lunyangwe --- MTC which recently came under fire with the communications regulator CRAN announced today that it is suspending the N$2 per day for 10MB promotion immediately. The announcement was made at the MTC headquarters in Windhoek this morning.
The Anti Corruption Commission has finalized a case in which the Ministry of Education was defrauded of almost two million Namibian Dollars. Three of the suspects are employees of the ministry who are said to have been in cahoots with an employee from the National Broadcasting corporation. The commission has been investigating the case since June 2012, after a tip-off from the public.
by: Erica Gebhardt --- Senior citizens have praised president Hage Geingob after receiving an increase of 400-dollars for as part of their social grant from government. The pensioners also received a back pay since the announcement was made in April this year, pocketing 2 600-dollars each.
Bursaries worth almost N$2 million dollars were handed over to civil engineering and economic students today by the Roads Authority. Since it's inception, the Roads Authority's Bursary Fund has spent about N$20 million dollars on enriching the engineering education sector, towards realizing the country's Vision 2030 goals.
