The Love numbers h, k, and l are dimensionless parameters that measure the rigidity of a planetary body and the susceptibility of its shape to change in response to a tidal potential.
In 1911 (some authors have 1906)Augustus Edward Hough Love introduced the values h and k which characterize the overall elastic response of the Earth to the tides. Later, in 1912, T. Shida of Japan added a third Love number, l, which was needed to obtain a complete overall description of the solid Earth's response to the tides.
The Love number h is defined as the ratio of the body tide to the height of the static equilibrium tide; also defined as the vertical (radial) displacement or variation of the planet's elastic properties. In terms of the tide generating potential V(θ, φ)/g, the displacement is h V(θ, φ)/g where θ is latitude, φ is east longitude and g is acceleration to gravity. For a hypothetical solid Earth h = 0 . For a liquid Earth, one would expect h = 1. However, the deformation of the sphere causes the potential field to change, and thereby deform the sphere even more. The theoretical maximum is h = 2.5. For the real Earth, h lies between these values.
Super Circus was an American television program which aired live on Sunday afternoons from 5 to 6pm Eastern Time from 1949-1956 on ABC. The show originally was produced in Chicago, but production later moved to New York City. The award-winning show featured circus and clown acts performing in front of a studio audience. Mary Hartline and Claude Kirchner were the hosts (Jerry Colonna succeeded Kirchner as "Ringmaster" in the final New York season), and Bruce Chase conducted the band. Sponsors for the show including Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Mars, Inc. (Mars Bars, Snickers, 3 Musketeers), Canada Dry Ginger Ale, and Sweetheart Soap.
Hartline, known for her short skirts. white boots and long blonde hair, became one of television's first sex symbols, spawning merchandise such as dolls.
For at least the 1951 and 1952 seasons, each day Kirchner selected one child from the audience to stick his hand into a jar full of coins, attempting to pull out and keep as much money as possible. There were no one-dollar coins in the jar, but Kirchner always announced when he spotted a "fifty-cent piece" among the coins retrieved and the audience was prompted to cheer.
A nursery rhyme is a traditional poem or song for young children in Britain and many other countries, but usage only dates from the late 18th /early 19th century. In North America the term Mother Goose Rhymes, introduced in the mid-18th century, is still often used.
The oldest children's songs of which we have records are lullabies, intended to help a child sleep. Lullabies can be found in every human culture. The English term lullaby is thought to come from "lu, lu" or "la la" sound made by mothers or nurses to calm children, and "by by" or "bye bye", either another lulling sound, or a term for good night. Until the modern era lullabies were usually only recorded incidentally in written sources. The Roman nurses' lullaby, "Lalla, Lalla, Lalla, aut dormi, aut lacta", is recorded in a scholium on Persius and may be the oldest to survive.
Many medieval English verses associated with the birth of Jesus take the form of a lullaby, including "Lullay, my liking, my dere son, my sweting" and may be versions of contemporary lullabies. However, most of those used today date from the 17th century. For example, a well known lullaby such as "Rock-a-bye, baby on a tree top", cannot be found in records until the late-18th century when it was printed by John Newbery (c. 1765).
"I Love" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Tom T. Hall. It was released in October 1973 as the only single from the album, For the People in the Last Hard Town. The song would be Hall's most successful single and was his fourth number one on the U.S. country singles chart. The single spent two weeks at the top and a total of 15 weeks on the chart. "I Love" was Hall's only entry on the Top 40 peaking at number 12.
"I Love" was used, with altered lyrics, in a popular 2003 TV commercial for Coors Light.
The song was used in the film For No Good Reason.
"I Like", a parody version by Heathen Dan, was released on the 1983 compilation album The Rhino Brothers Present the World's Worst Records.

Here's an edited version of RadioLab's "For the Love of Numbers". I've added images to enhance the show. It’s hard to think of anything more rational, more logical and impersonal than a number. But what if we’re all, universally, also deeply attuned to how numbers … feel? Why 2 is warm, 7 is strong and 11 is downright mystical. In this short, writer Alex Bellos tells Robert how, from the very first time humans ever used numbers, we couldn’t help but give them human-like qualities. From favorite numbers to numbers that we’re suspicious of, from 501 jeans to Oxy 10, our feelings for these digits may all come down to some serious, subconscious inner-math….a deeply human arithmetic buried in our heart.
◢ The number Eleven (11) has been known to be a Divine number and a Master number, and it is said to symbolize the expansion of consciousness as internal personal growth takes place. It is also a symbolic number for ‘new beginnings’ and is the number of Light. Our music track, The Divine One, contains a brainwave entrainment frequency of 11Hz, associated to achieving a relaxed but alert state of mind and can reduce stress levels, and with a carrier frequency of 111Hz, which associates to cell regeneration and beta endorphins, we were inspired to create this meditation pure tone track to assist in raising your vibration and spiritual growth. Listen while meditating and focusing on the Self, for the betterment and improvement on all levels, and using headphones will provide better binaural b...

Overtones build the harmonic ladder which extends upwards infinitely in perfect whole number ratios. At the musical point where these two series meet, by intoning the fibonacci numbered overtones with the saxophones, we can hear the sound of a beautiful, endlessly extending spiral of ever-alternating sixths. Love in Numbers makes a...
