Rebecca & Fiona

Rebecca & Fiona is a Swedish DJ duo from Stockholm. The duo was founded by Rebecca Scheja and Fiona FitzPatrick in 2007, when they met at a party and started to work and make music together as DJs. In 2010 they released their debut single "Luminary Ones" and during 2010-2011 they were support act for Robyn, other notable performances during those years were also at the Polar Music Prize and the Swedish music festival Way Out West.

In January 2011 Rebecca & Fiona released their second single "Bullets", which was one of the tracks in their debut album I Love You, Man!, released in November 2011. The same year, the duo got nominated in 3 category for "P3 Guld". They won a Grammis both in 2011 and 2015 for "Best Electro/Dance".

In 2014 they released their second album Beauty Is Pain.

Oliver Heldens (born Olivier Heldens; February 1, 1995) is a Dutch electronic music producer from Rotterdam in the Netherlands. His 2013 song, "Gecko", caught the attention of Tiësto, who signed him to his label; Musical Freedom and released the track with vocals from British singer Becky Hill on June 23, 2014. Heldens also has a weekly podcast titled Heldeep Radio. His songs "Gecko (Overdrive)", "Last All Night (Koala)" and his remix of Dr Kucho!'s "Can't Stop Playing" charted as top 5 singles in the UK, reaching 1st, 5th and 4th position respectively. In 2015, he began producing bass house songs under the alias 'HI-LO', which comes from 'Oli H' in reversed form. Under his alias, Heldens produced three singles titled "Crank It Up", "Renegade Mastah" and "Wappy Flirt", releasing the latter two on his label Heldeep Records.

Career

2013–present: Breakthrough

Heldens began his professional music career when he signed to Spinnin' Records in 2013. His first releases on the label include "Stinger" and "Thumper" which features DJ Jacob van Hage. Later collaborations include "Panther" with 'Robby East' which was released on the Oxygen label on the December 2, 2013. The single "Gecko" was released in the same month on Tiesto's Musical Freedom record label. The song peaked at number 1 on the DMC Magazine Buzz Chart and was named "Essential New Tune" by BBC's Pete Tong on January 31, 2014.

Becky Hill

Rebecca Claire "Becky" Hill (born 14 February 1994) is an English singer and songwriter from Bewdley, Worcestershire. She rose to prominence after appearing on the first series of The Voice UK, auditioning with "Ordinary People". She joined Jessie J's team and reached the semi-final of the competition. On 29 June 2014 she became the first The Voice UK contestant to score a UK number 1 when the song, "Gecko (Overdrive)" with Oliver Heldens topped the UK Singles Chart.

Career

Becky began making music in a band called Shaking Trees – receiving much BBC Introducing support from the likes of Andrew Marston at BBC Hereford & Worcester who selected her band to perform at the Nozstock Festival of Performing Arts, as well as a live session for Adam Green and Josh Withey at BBC Radio Shropshire.

2012: The Voice

Hill has appeared in a number of live performances for YouTube, including a web series called The Rebelations. She auditioned for the first series of The Voice UK, and at the blind auditions she performed "Ordinary People". Judges Jessie J and Will.i.am turned around for her, the only coaches with an available space on their teams. She opted to join Jessie. In the battle rounds she competed against Indie and Pixie performing the song "Irreplaceable", she won the battle and progressed to the live shows. She got to the Semi-final stage of the competition where she was eliminated.

Jade Ewen

Jade Louise Ewen (born 24 January 1988) is an English singer, songwriter, actress and a former member of the band Sugababes. Ewen began her singing career in a girl group named Trinity Stone, which signed with Sony BMG in 2005 but disbanded in 2007 without releasing an album. In 2009, after winning the right, she represented the United Kingdom in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest by performing the Andrew Lloyd Webber penned "It's My Time". She finished in fifth place, making her the most successful British Eurovision act since 2002. She is well-known for her Connie Francis-like vocals.

Ewen replaced Keisha Buchanan in the group Sugababes in September 2009. Since joining, the group has achieved two UK top-ten singles and one album.

Early life

Ewen was born and brought up in Plaistow, London, to a Jamaican mother, Carol, and a Scottish-Sicilian father, Trevor. Trevor is blind and partially deaf, while Carol is partially blind. Because of her parents' disabilities, Ewen is a caregiver to both of her parents as well as her two younger siblings, Shereen and Kiel. She attended Brampton Manor Academy before transferring to the Sylvia Young Theatre School (SYTS) after receiving a scholarship. While a student at SYTS, she appeared in the television productions The Bill, Casualty and Mr. Harvey Lights a Candle. At the age of twelve, Ewen auditioned for and won the part of Nala in The Lion King at the West End Theatre.
