Haunted - Poe (Lyrics on-screen)
Happy Halloween and enjoy!
Poe is amazing, as is this song, both lyrically and instrumentally. The title is fitting as the song is macabre - yet simultaneously beautiful. An artistic duality I'm personally very fond of.
It is also featured on the soundtrack of Alan Wake, which is awesome as well.
I do not own Poe or any of her music.

The largest radio station operator in the US, iHeartMedia recently “displaced” over 1100 of their Programming, On-Air, and Production staff.
The cuts came without warning, though the company in its various forms over the years wasn’t exactly a stranger to doling out pink slips on occasion en mass.
Matt Dubiel owns a radio station in Chicago and he published a video shortly after the iHeartMedia bloodbath that empathized with those affected, but also placed blame squarely on their shoulders.
You see, if you’re still on the air in any capacity, you could be building a social media presence that rivals the audience of your entire station.
Actually, if you’re in a myriad of sales positions, you could be doing the same. This way, if your company decides to pull the rug out from under you, you simply plant your flag elsewhere and your audience won’t skip a beat.
If one day you get pulled into your boss' office and they begin talking about "moving in a different direction", how "it's nothing you did" or "we wish you well in your future endeavors", you can look them square in the face and ask, "Okay, fine! But are you sure you've thought this through?"
But you need to build that audience, which will eventually give you LEVERAGE.

The economy is good and unemployment is very low. That *doesn’t* mean that you can rest on your laurels when it comes to company loyalty.

Podcasting's recent surge in the past years has provided a unique window for a diverse range of content creators to access a large audience. This video takes a look at the history of how radio and television de-regulation, consolidation, and cross-media ownership homogenized the content on those mediums, limited diversity and limited access, and the threats to internet-based content creators moving forward.

SUMMARY
=======
Radio broadcasting in the United States is a major mass medium. Unlike radio in most other countries, American radio has historically relied primarily on commercial advertising sponsorship on for-profit stations. The U.S. does not have a national broadcaster that aims its programs at the general public. Nonprofit broadcasting typically comes in three forms: radio evangelism, community radio, and government-subsidized public radio, all of which rely at least to some extent on listener donations. Shortwave broadcasting in the United States includes federal government programs, as well as a limited number of privately managed broadcasts, for overseas audiences. Radio broadcasting became popular in the 1920s, alongside the new film industry. The arrival of television in the 1950s forced radio into a niche role, as leading participants moved into the much larger field of television. In the 21st century, radio has been adjusting to the arrival of the Internet and Internet radio.
