What drugs were all your salesmen taking?

Mclusky is a Welsh trio. They play a very noisy brand of punk / alt rock with a healthy dose of self deprecating humor. This is their 2nd album.
My old roommate got me into this band. This album made it on a lot of bloggers top albums of 2002 list when it came out.
Mclusky is a pretty rad band. They play very short and loud songs with very absurd lyrics. Lots of catchy and crunchy guitar hooks, drunken, frenetic energy, deranged crazy man vocals. The music is here sounds very messy, but not at all sloppy. The self deprecating attitude on display here really adds a lot of charm to the music.
The music is entertaining and frequently hilarious, without ever being jokey or comical. They tend to be on the more absurd, WTF end of the comedy spectrum. No punchlines. No jokey ballads. All the songs have a degree of sincerity.
These guys get compared to all kinds of bands. The ones that make the most sense to me is Pixies, At The Drive In, Jesus Lizard and Hold Steady, but Nirvana and AC/DC did get thrown a lot as well.
A very fun album, full of raunchiness and intensity. The songs don't over stay their visit and are very catchy for the most part. Some songs are a little to abrasive and noisy to be overly memorable, but there will be guaranteed songs that get stuck in your head, whether you like them or not. This album will grow on a person.

Mclusky
Mclusky (often stylized as mclusky), originally known as Best, were a three-piece post-hardcore group formed in Cardiff, Wales. The group consisted of Englishman Andrew "Falco" Falkous (vocals, guitar) from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Jonathan Chapple (bass, vocals) and Jack Egglestone (drums), who replaced previous drummer Matthew Harding in late 2003.
History
According to the band, they originally formed in 1996 when Falkous and Harding met at the Blackwood Miners Institute, a venue in their home town from which they were both ejected for dressing as miners. The pair met Chapple a short time afterwards at the Reading Festival when they caught him urinating on their tent late in the night.
More realistically it has been suggested that Falkous and Harding met when working together at Anglian Windows, a small double-glazing call centre in Cardiff. They discussed their musical ambitions after a conversation about Reading Festival, Falkous gave Harding a tape of songs he had written on his own, and shortly after they formed a band called Best after early Beatles drummer Pete Best. The original bass player for Best was Geraint Bevan, Harding's old musical comrade from The Derelicts.

Calling All Cars is an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria and consists of brothers Haydn and James Ing, along with Adam Montgomery.
The band gradually progressed through live performances with acts like Cog and The Butterfly Effect on national tours. Their first big stadium show was supporting Green Day in Auckland, New Zealand. They have also played many Australian music festivals including the Melbourne Big Day Out in Jan 2010 and were selected to open 11 shows alongside Wolfmother for AC/DC on the Australian leg of their Black Ice World Tour in Feb-March 2010.
n March 2011 Calling All Cars supported Queens Of The Stone Age on their brief Australian Tour. The band are currently in the studio with producer Tom Larkin recording their second record. Due out mid 2011. The album will be mixed by UK producer/Engineer/mixer Chris Sheldon. On 1 May 2011 the band released 'Reptile' the first single to be taken off their 2nd record.
On 14 June 2011 the band released a statement saying their new album will be titled 'Dancing With A Dead Man'
Whilst recording vocals for 'Dancing With A Dead Man' singer Haydn Ing was said to have lost 9.2 kgs. This was allegedly due to the unique process of recording 80% of the vocal takes in a room heated between 38-46 degrees Celsius. Given his already slight frame this was a concerning issue to many people around him. In an interview with international renowned recording magazine VOCAL SOUNDZZZ Haydn had this to say "Sure, I was feeling faint and vomiting between takes, but can you put a physical price on a glorious vocal take? i would have happily died in the vocal booth if it meant it was going to make the record better" In subsequent interviews, both Haydn Ing and Producer Tom Larkin have played down the use of such an unorthodox recording technique and in some cases have gone as far as to blatantly deny it ever happening.

Calling All Cars is an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria and consists of brothers Haydn and James Ing, along with Adam Montgomery.
The band gradually progressed through live performances with acts like Cog and The Butterfly Effect on national tours. Their first big stadium show was supporting Green Day in Auckland, New Zealand. They have also played many Australian music festivals including the Melbourne Big Day Out in Jan 2010 and were selected to open 11 shows alongside Wolfmother for AC/DC on the Australian leg of their Black Ice World Tour in Feb-March 2010.
n March 2011 Calling All Cars supported Queens Of The Stone Age on their brief Australian Tour. The band are currently in the studio with producer Tom Larkin recording their second record. Due out mid 2011. The album will be mixed by UK producer/Engineer/mixer Chris Sheldon. On 1 May 2011 the band released 'Reptile' the first single to be taken off their 2nd record.
On 14 June 2011 the band released a statement saying their new album will be titled 'Dancing With A Dead Man'
Whilst recording vocals for 'Dancing With A Dead Man' singer Haydn Ing was said to have lost 9.2 kgs. This was allegedly due to the unique process of recording 80% of the vocal takes in a room heated between 38-46 degrees Celsius. Given his already slight frame this was a concerning issue to many people around him. In an interview with international renowned recording magazine VOCAL SOUNDZZZ Haydn had this to say "Sure, I was feeling faint and vomiting between takes, but can you put a physical price on a glorious vocal take? i would have happily died in the vocal booth if it meant it was going to make the record better" In subsequent interviews, both Haydn Ing and Producer Tom Larkin have played down the use of such an unorthodox recording technique and in some cases have gone as far as to blatantly deny it ever happening.

An object of unknown origins that is speeding through our solar system has NASA scientists perplexed, wondering if it’s a comet, asteroid or some other form of space rock as it accelerates on its way toward the constellation Pegasus, multiple media reports said Friday. From the late 90s, Falco fronted Mclusky, the punky three-piece who fizzled out in 2005 with little fanfare ... Mclusky’s debut album, 2000’s My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours, was a scrappy, demo-like affair.
