Timothy Charles "Tim" Buckley III (February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. His music and style changed considerably through the years; his first album (1966) was mostly folk, but his subsequent albums incorporated jazz, psychedelia, funk, soul, avant-garde and an evolving "voice as instrument" sound. Though he did not find commercial success during his lifetime, Buckley is admired by later generations for his innovation as a musician and vocal ability. He died at the age of 28 from a heroin overdose, leaving behind his sons Taylor and Jeff, the latter of whom later went on to become a musician as well.
Tim Buckley was born in Washington, D.C. on St. Valentine's Day, to Elaine (née Scalia), an Italian American, and Timothy Charles Buckley Jr., a highly decorated World War II veteran who was the son of Irish immigrants from Cork. He spent his early childhood in Amsterdam, New York, an industrial city approximately 40 miles northwest of Albany; at five years old he began listening to his mother's progressive jazz recordings, particularly Miles Davis.

Buckley (Welsh: Bwcle [ˈbʊklɛ]) is a town and community in Flintshire, located in north-east Wales. It is situated 2 miles (3.2 km) from the county town of Mold and is contiguous with the nearby villages of Ewloe, Alltami (which are both under the jurisdiction of Buckley town council) and Mynydd Isa. The town is located on the A549 road, with the larger A55 road passing nearby.
Buckley is the second largest town in Flintshire in terms of population. According to the 2001 Census, the community had a total population of 14,568, increasing to 15,665 at the 2011 census.
Notable nearby landmarks include Ewloe Castle.
Buckley was an Anglo-Saxon location, with some of its houses later recorded in the Norman Domesday Book of the 11th century. However, the first documented evidence of its existence dates from 1294 when it was described as the pasturage of the Manor of Ewloe, spelled as "Bokkeley".
The name Buckley may derive from the Old English bok lee, meaning meadow, or field. The likely meaning of the name was "clearing in a beech wood" (with boc meaning beech tree and ley meaning wood, glade or clearing). The name could also have been construed from bucc, a buck or deer; or bwlch y clai, meaning clay hole.

Plot: Greetings from Tim Buckley follows the story of the days leading up to Jeff Buckley's eminent 1991 performance at his father's tribute concert in St. Ann's Church. Through a romance with a young woman working at the concert, he learns to embrace all of his feelings toward the father who abandoned him - longing, anger, forgiveness, and love. Culminating a cathartic performance of his father's most famous songs, Jeff's debut stuns the audience and launches his career as one of the greatest young musicians of his time.
Genres: Drama,(Monkees TV Show 1968) Long afloat on shipless oceans I did all my best to smile 'Til your singing eyes and fingers Drew me loving to your isle And you sang Sail to me, sail to me Let me enfold you Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you Did I dream you dreamed about me ? Were you hare when I was fox ? Now my foolish boat is leaning Broken lovelorn on your rocks For you sing 'Touch me not, touch me not Come back tomorrow Oh my heart, oh my heart Shies from the sorrow' I am puzzled as the oyster I am troubled as the tide Should I stand amid your breakers ? Or should I lie with death my bride ? Hear me sing 'Swim to me, swim to me Let me enfold you Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you'
Sweet Surrender Now you wanna know the reason Why I cheated on you? Well I had to be a hunter again. This little man had to try To make love feel new again. 'Cause there's just a few things, honey I'm not old enough to do for you. Ohh. And they're the things, momma You just never care to show me. Ohh. So this flim-flam lover boy Found him a flamingo. And his flamingo Showed him how to tango. And when they tangoed It'd send their heart's a 'flutter. Teased him 'till he'd stutter. Made him so young and tender. Sweet to surrender And so sweet surrender. In sweet surrender. Ahh, sweet surrender to love. But now you're gonna go out And get yourself A reputation. But I'm gonna have to show you Where to start. And then you're gonna bring back Your little repu...

Happy Sad is the third album by singer-songwriter Tim Buckley, released in 1969. It was recorded at Elektra Sound Recorders in Los Angeles, California and was produced by former Lovin' Spoonful members Zal Yanovsky and, coincidentally, his subsequent replacement Jerry Yester. It marked the beginning of Buckley's experimental period, as it incorporated elements of jazz that he had never used before. Many of the songs here represent a departure from the binary form that dominated much of his previous work. The sound of the album is characterized by David Friedman's vibraphone, an instrument whi...

Tim Buckley performing a fantastic live version of Dolphins
Cuarto larga duración de Tim Buckley, editado en el '69.
Parts of this show have been uploaded before, and blue melody from this show has been released on DVD (My fleeting house.) As far as I know there is no release or upload with this quality or better of the first two tracks, I woke up and Come here Woman except from the show, also on my fleeting house. I was thrilled to find some starsailor stuff live and couldn't wait to share it with others, I dig this a lot and I hope you will too. Tim's band plays beautifully with him here, Lee Underwood seems very intense and focused in particular and it's good to see Tim Buckley doing music he clearly loves. Beautiful people doing beautiful music. If you'd like to download this video, I got it from: http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/tim-buckley-boboquivari-62215.html But youtube downloader should...

Tim Buckley - Interview - 'Radio Free Oz', KRLA, Aired, Nov 19 1967. As the result of my never-ending Digitization process, I am constantly finding things I thought were lost, erased, never recorded or stolen. This is one such tape. I was a huge fan of the original Firesign Theatre Sunday night radio series on KRLA called "Radio Free Oz" which ran from 1967 to 1968. Before that it was on the Pacifica station KPFK a little over a year. RFO incorporated later Firesign Theatre bits, as well as interviews, music and audience participation (since it was a live broadcast from various clubs around L.A.). The show was about 3 hours long and it usually took up two reels of tape to record it. During the big earthquake of 1971, I had the gross misfortune of having an entire wall of 5,000 tapes tip...

Listen to the full interview here: http://soundcheck.wnyc.org/2013/may/01/penn-badgley-jeff-buckley/ The late singer Jeff Buckley's career was on a steep upward trajectory when he drowned in 1997 at the age of 30. Buckley had an amazing voice -- and he had musical genes. He was the son of Tim Buckley, the cult singer/songwriter of the early '70s who also died tragically young of an overdose at the age of 28. They are the subject of the new movie "Greetings From Tim Buckley," which stars former Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley in the role of Jeff Buckley. Badgley joins us to discuss the challenges of the role, and explain how music was his first passion.
[Lyrics Tim Buckley - Ashbury Park] Oh the time it takes It takes to heal Lord I don't understand the reason why It goes this far along But I know I would never believe That you ever lose A single thing As long as you remember As long as you have your dreams Lord it all stays with you Oh I'll always be Behind the dream you've had And not that way I'll sing though I don't understand Who is awake Oh, la dee dee
[Lyrics Tim Buckley - Anonymous Proposition] Love me as if someday you'd hate me For what i give is yours without a name To fill your night long needs Only as long as you say This time you'll learn that love is just a slave To where the heart beats stronger This time you'd need in turn or promise forever I could have been a boy from long ago you've left forgotten And lately you've wondered where he's gone Oh, it's never hold to me not as long as love lives in this house Take me after all you've lost and never wanted Somewhere between all the nights you've tatsted wine of men forever Untill they left you to wake alone Aw, but it's never said to me Not when the years live in these hours And darling love me as if someday you'd hate me For what i am is h...

Straight outta nowhere level to my throat
He said 'see reb I've been over to the war boy'
I said 'i was a combat paratrooper daddy'
Well now he slupped back cool and he pocket that steel
