Hooray for Boobies

Hooray for Boobies is the third studio album by American alternative rock band Bloodhound Gang, released on October 4, 1999, in Europe and February 29, 2000, in the US. The album, produced by Jimmy Pop and Richard Gavalis, was the band's second release on Geffen Records following the gold-selling One Fierce Beer Coaster. The musical style of Hooray for Boobies is grounded in the alternative rock, rapcore, and electronica genres, with prominent rap-metal guitar riffs, samples, electronic instruments, and lyrics rife with toilet humor.

The album received generally favorable reviews and was a commercial success. Hooray for Boobies effectively broke the Bloodhound Gang into the mainstream. The album initially debuted at number two on the US Top Heatseekers chart, but managed to peak at number 14 on the US Billboard 200. The album also hit number one in Australia, Austria, and Germany. Since its release in 1999, the album has sold over 4 million copies internationally.

Five singles were released from the album including "Along Comes Mary", "The Bad Touch", "The Ballad of Chasey Lain", "Mope", and "The Inevitable Return of the Great White Dope". The album's second single, "The Bad Touch", was an international hit, charting on fourteen different charts worldwide, and managing to hit number one on five of them.

Chocolate

Chocolate ⁱ/ˈtʃɒkᵊlət/ is a typically sweet, usually brown, food preparation of Theobroma cacao seeds, roasted and ground, often flavored, as with vanilla. It is made in the form of a liquid, paste, or in a block, or used as a flavoring ingredient in other foods. Cacao has been cultivated by many cultures for at least three millennia in Mesoamerica. The earliest evidence of use traces to the Mokaya (Mexico and Guatemala), with evidence of chocolate beverages dating back to 1900 BC. In fact, the majority of Mesoamerican people made chocolate beverages, including the Maya and Aztecs, who made it into a beverage known as xocolātl [ʃoˈkolaːt͡ɬ], a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter water". The seeds of the cacao tree have an intense bitter taste and must be fermented to develop the flavor.

After fermentation, the beans are dried, cleaned, and roasted. The shell is removed to produce cacao nibs, which are then ground to cocoa mass, pure chocolate in rough form. Because the cocoa mass is usually liquefied before being molded with or without other ingredients, it is called chocolate liquor. The liquor also may be processed into two components: cocoa solids and cocoa butter. Unsweetened baking chocolate (bitter chocolate) contains primarily cocoa solids and cocoa butter in varying proportions. Much of the chocolate consumed today is in the form of sweet chocolate, a combination of cocoa solids, cocoa butter or other fat, and sugar. Milk chocolate is sweet chocolate that additionally contains milk powder or condensed milk. White chocolate contains cocoa butter, sugar, and milk, but no cocoa solids.

Chocolate (Kylie Minogue song)

"Chocolate" is a song by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, taken from her ninth studio album Body Language (2003). It was written by its producer Johnny Douglas and Karen Poole. The song is a ballad which uses a chocolate simile to describe Minogue's obsession with love. It contains elements of disco and funk and employs breathy and whispery vocals. It was released as the third and final single from the album on 28 June 2004 by Parlophone.

Critical reception towards "Chocolate" varied from favourable to mixed; some critics favoured its commercial appeal and Minogue's vocals, while some criticised it for being dated. In Australia, the song failed to reach the top ten and peaked at number 14. It found more success in the United Kingdom, where it became her 27th top-ten hit after it debuted at number six on the UK Singles Chart. The single also charted inside the top twenty in Hungary and Italy.

A music video for "Chocolate" was directed by Dawn Shadforth and was envisioned as a tribute to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musicals. It chiefly features Minogue and numerous backup dancers, in a hall, performing a dance routine choreographed by Michael Rooney. The song was performed live by Minogue at the one-off concert show Money Can't Buy and TV show Top of the Pops. "Chocolate" was included on the set list of the singer's Showgirl: The Greatest Hits and Showgirl: The Homecoming tours.

Electricidad

Electricidad (English: Electricity) is the second studio album by Mexican duo Jesse & Joy. The album was released on 15 September 2009 by Warner Music México, and reached number twenty-one on the Mexican Albums Chart. The album was certified Gold by the Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas (AMPROFON). "Adiós" became the album's lead single in July 2009. It peaked at number thirteen at the Hot Latin Songs chart and number three at Latin Pop Airplay chart. The title track was released the next month, and "Chocolate" was released as the third single. It peaked at number thirteen at the Mexican Airplay chart, as well as twenty-nine at the Latin Pop Airplay chart. "Si Te Vas" was released as the fourth and last single. Jesse & Joy promoted the album on a concert tour.

Background

In an interview with Univision, Jesse commented "We're happy with how the album turned out, we're very satisfied with it, we've been experimenting for about eighteen months with sounds and everything and now here in the last five months we managed to assemble those parts in Los Angeles and from that came the single 'Adiós'".

Snake

Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears. Like all squamates, snakes are ectothermic, amniote vertebrates covered in overlapping scales. Many species of snakes have skulls with several more joints than their lizard ancestors, enabling them to swallow prey much larger than their heads with their highly mobile jaws. To accommodate their narrow bodies, snakes' paired organs (such as kidneys) appear one in front of the other instead of side by side, and most have only one functional lung. Some species retain a pelvic girdle with a pair of vestigial claws on either side of the cloaca.

Living snakes are found on every continent except Antarctica, and on most smaller land masses — exceptions include some large islands, such as Ireland and New Zealand, and many small islands of the Atlantic and central Pacific. Additionally, sea snakes are widespread throughout the Indian and Pacific Oceans. More than 20 families are currently recognized, comprising about 500 genera and about 3,400 species. They range in size from the tiny, 10 cm-long thread snake to the reticulated python of up to 6.95 meters (22.8 ft) in length. The fossil species Titanoboa cerrejonensis was 13 meters (43 ft) long. Snakes are thought to have evolved from either burrowing or aquatic lizards, perhaps during the Jurassic period, with the earliest known fossils dating to between 143 and 167 Ma ago. The diversity of modern snakes appeared during the Paleocene period (c 66 to 56 Ma ago). The oldest preserved descriptions of snakes can be found in the Brooklyn Papyrus.

Snakes (M. C. Escher)

Snakes is a woodcut print by the Dutch artist M. C. Escher first printed in July 1969.

It depicts a disc made up of interlocking circles that grow progressively smaller towards the center and towards the edge. There are three snakes laced through the edge of the disc.

Snakes has rotational symmetry of order 3, comprising a single wedge-shaped image repeated three times in a circle. This means that it was printed from three blocks that were rotated on a pin to make three impressions each. Close inspection reveals the central mark left by the pin. The image is printed in three colours: green, brown and black. In several earlier works Escher explored the limits of infinitesimal size and infinite number, for example the Circle Limit series, by actually carrying through the rendering of smaller and smaller figures to the smallest possible sizes. By contrast, in Snakes, the infinite diminution of size – and infinite increase in number – is only suggested in the finished work. Nevertheless, the print shows very clearly how this rendering would have been carried out to the limits of human visibility.

Snakes (N-Gage game)

Snakes is an update to the classic Snake game from Nokia. It is freely downloadable from the Nokia N-Gage website, and can be copied to another N-Gage handset via Bluetooth. A new version is now available as an embedded game on most N-series smartphones from Nokia, e.g. Nokia N95.

Although Snakes was primarily designed for the Nokia N-Gage platform, it is also available for Nokia N95. Several other devices support the optimized file mention earlier as well, one example is Nokia E65 which supports and can run the game at a near-full framerate as on Nokia N95. However, there have been cases in which a phone which can support the game, crashed promptly after launching the application.
