Neo is a prefix from the ancient Greek word for young, neos (νέος).
Neo may refer to:
Neo was a nightclub located at 2350 N. Clark St. in the Chicago neighborhood of Lincoln Park. Established on July 25, 1979 Neo is the oldest or one of the oldest running nightclubs in Chicago and was a hangout and venue for a variety of musicians and artists, including David Bowie, Iggy Pop, David Bryne, the Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and U2. The nightclub has been noted for being gay-friendly.
In the 1980s the club was a center for Chicago's Punk and New Wave scenes.
In 1988, on the advice of one of the bartenders employed by Neo's management, the bar was renovated to look like lower Wacker.
In 2015, the nightclub lost its lease and had to move to a new location.
The character Neo from the Matrix franchise drew inspiration from the nightclub and its patrons.
The Neo were a fictional race of superhumans in the Marvel Comics Universe, created by Chris Claremont. Before facing global extinction, the Neo were another of Earth's races, apparently a very ancient one that prefer to live in seclusion. They appear to be a subspecies of mutants, but much more powerful. This is seen in the way they call mutants "spikes", as if they didn't even register on the Neo's power scales.
Their existence was kept hidden for millennia as they had chosen a solitary life in their own community. They prospered until the day the High Evolutionary activated his machines (from an orbital space station) that switched off all mutant genes. Worldwide all mutants lost their powers and become baseline humans. The Neo suffered many casualties. Among the dead was the daughter of Domina and Hunter, the leaders of one of Neo's Warclan. They swear revenge on whoever is responsible.
The Neo engaged in fighting the X-Men, who have no intention of letting them destroy the world. It was the Neo who sabotaged the High Evolutionary's space station, who destroyed 17 of Mister Sinister's bases, and who hunted down the mutants hidden by Charles Xavier in NYC. They are all top-notch fighters, and can withstand significant punishment before going down. They are also quite technologically advanced.
"Paint Box" is a song by the psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd, written and sung by keyboardist Richard Wright. It was first released in 1967 as the B-side to the single "Apples and Oranges".
Musical features of the song include its long drum fills by Nick Mason, and a piano solo by Wright, which is panned around the stereo spectrum. Wright also doubles on tack piano in addition to the ordinary acoustic piano.
The song's lyrics begin with "Last night I had too much to drink / Sitting in a club with so many fools", and feature an ambivalent chorus: "I open the door to an empty room / Then I forget".
The song is the first of many Pink Floyd songs to prominently feature an E minor added ninth chord. This chord would become a signature aspect of their better-known material: It opens The Dark Side of the Moon with "Breathe". It is prominent in "Welcome to the Machine" from Wish You Were Here, where it alternates with a C Major seventh chord for most of the song. "Dogs" from Animals centers around the chord as played on down-tuned guitars, resulting in a concert pitch of D minor ninth. It appeared again in "Hey You" and "Vera" from The Wall. It would appear in no less than four songs from The Final Cut: "Your Possible Pasts"; "The Hero's Return"; "The Gunner's Dream"; and "The Fletcher Memorial Home".

Formed in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England in 1978. Originally known as ZEUS PENDRAGON it was decided fairly early on to drop the "ZEUS" as co-founder Julian Baker felt it was too wordy to fit on a t-shirt! There were several line up changes in the early days, members included Julian Baker (co-founder/guitar) Nigel Harris (drums) Stan Cox (bass) Robert Dalby (bass) John Barney Barnfield (keys) Rik Carter (keys). The one constant key element was Nick Barrett. The line up then remained the same for almost 20 years, featuring : Nick Barrett (guitar/lead vocal) Clive Nolan (keys) Peter Gee (bass) and Fudge Smith (drums), until 2006 when PENDRAGON and Fudge Smith parted ways. Paint Box - Interlude 1985 Weekly guest let loose on electronic paintbox and invited to create their own "masterpiece" whilst giving a one-sided commentary about themselves and what they were trying to achieve on the electronic canvas. Guests were well-known celebrities of varying artistic ability. Notable artist guests included David Hockney. Massive ASMR sensory overload provided by the combination of close-mic'd voice of artist and scratching of stylus against trackpad. Intimate and very therapeutic. #paintbox
