A woman who allegedly stole jeans and a belt from the Old Navy store in Mesquite led officers on a high-speed chase through Dallas Wednesday afternoon. (8-24-11) The woman did not stop when officers tried to pull her over and a chase ensued. After driving at speeds reaching nearly 100 miles per hour at times, the woman pulled over on Geller Road in southern Dallas County and tried to flee on foot. Officers tackled her and took her into custody. The unidentified woman is expected to face charges for theft and evading arrest.

On Jan 12th, 2016 at about 2:30 am a black male entered the 7-11 at 1428 Oates at NW hwy. He smokes Newport cig & is a regular customer. The Man pulled a handgun and forced the clerk behind the counter, making him empty the cash from two registers into a sack. The suspect demanded access to the safe and struck the clerk. The clerk fought back against the assault and eventually managed to gain control of the suspect’s handgun. After a lengthy struggle the suspect managed to free himself and ran into the neighborhood behind the store. The clerk reported superficial cuts and bruising but required no medical attention. Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for any info leading to an arrest. Suspect description: Black-Male, Mid 20’s, 5’10” tall, 150-175 lbs., black hair, wearing a black hoody, black sweat pants, red sweat shirt, carrying a white plastic bag.

Bizarre. I looked again, the Xterra ran into the pickup to get out of the way of the dark car that was coming into his lane. The Xterra and pickup truck drivers did not stop after the accident.
Possible reasons? Both cars stolen? No licenses, no insurance? 'Undocumented Guests'?????? It sure sounds like there was some damage. Bizarre. I looked again, the Xterra ran into the pickup to get out of the way of the dark car that was coming into his lane. The Xterra and pickup truck drivers did not stop after the accident. Mesquite Tx Shooting and police standoff 6/7/2013
At around 10 pm, Friday, 6/7/2013 I had just finished cooking my kids dinner and was headed outside to smoke a cigarette. Right before I got to the door I heard a series of loud pops which at first I thought were fireworks. But as I opened the door, I observed 2 men walking holding an uzzi and an Ak-47. I immediately told my wife and kids to go to the kitchen, and I waited a minute, then went to catch what I could on camera (including a small police standoff at the end. Upon finding out further details, I found out that the guy in the apartment across from me exchanged words with another neighbor, and it escalated. One guy pulled out a mac-10 and that resulted in the other 2 guys pulling the uzzi and ak-47, and shooting at them... It was crazy

My sixth lesson in a Cessna 172 with CFII Dick Schiltz of Plano Flight School. We depart north from Airpark Dallas (F69) and head to Mesquite (KHQZ). In this flight, I become aquanited with navigation techniques such as Pilotage/Dead Reckoning, GPS, VOR and NDB navigation. We do three touch and goes at Mesquite before heading back to Airpark.
