While cycling through St. Louis city I crossed the Eads Bridge into East St. Louis Illinois and got myself lost.
I was riding my bike down E Broadway until I reached a dead end, turned around and then turned...
- right onto N 18th St
- left onto Illinois 15 (Missouri Ave)
- right onto Collinsville Ave
- right onto Illinois 3 (St. Clair Ave)
- turned around at N 15th St
- took the N 14th St pedestrian bridge across Highway 64
- continued left onto N 15th St
- left onto Exchange Ave
- left onto N 1st St
- right onto Illinois 3 (St. Clair Ave).

What I should have done is made a left on Collinsville shortly after exiting the Eads Bridge, and then made a left onto Illinois 3.
I eventually found my way back across the Mississippi River via the McKinley Bridge and the Riverfront Trail into St. Louis Missouri as I had originally intended.
The Illinois cities I passed through include East St. Louis, National CIty, Brookyln, and Venice.
I stopped at least 5 times to check my phone and figure out where I was and how to get back home. I need a better map app or GPS.
The MIssissippi River is the largest river in North America and I crossed it twice in this video.
By the time I reached Saint Louis University the sun had dropped below the horizon and without a flashlight I had to call for a ride home.
- Don't ride in the dark without a bright headlight. It's too dangerous. ;)
- Map your route ahead of time to save time unless you want to purposefully get lost like me. Have some a physical map or offline maps on your phone in case GPS and connection issues occur.
- It was a very hot summer day too! Bring plenty of water with you when you expect to be out for any length of time. I filled up at a water fountain once. And I forgot I had an energy bar with me. LOL
This was also my first time riding my new used Lemond Poprad. The ride was enjoyable but I think the 25mm tires are too harsh for longer rides and will change them to wider 32mm tires.

They took their name (adding an "m") from the location of a German tragedy where 80 people were injured and killed as the result of a crash during an American Air Force air show. The literal translation of "Ram Stein" is a battering ram made of stone.
Word of Rammstein's horror/romanticist blend of theater and music - spread quickly - one-time Olympic swimmer Till Lindemann would sometimes sing entire songs engulfed in flame from head to toe. The band's first album, HERZELEID (English: Heartache), elaborated on the foundations set by the band's live reputation. Scaling the German charts, and remaining there until the release of the second Rammstein LP some two years later, the album also introduced the band to the world outside of the Germany/Switzerland/Austria region.
As Rammstein's second album, SEHNSUCHT (English: Longing), was released, the band was playing headlines shows across Europe to crowds of 10,000 to 30,000 people. SEHNSUCHT entered the German charts at number one immediately upon its release and came very close to doing the same in Austria and Switzerland. Within weeks, entries on other countries' charts had SEHNSUCHT rubbing elbows with The Prodigy, Radiohead, and The Rolling Stones on Billboard's cumulative Eurochart. From there the fever spread, transcending any perceived language barrier.
MUTTER followed in 2001, REISE, REISE in 2004, and the live collection VOLKERBALL in 2006. LIEBE IST FÜR ALLE DA followed in 2009. A limited edition of the album was packed in a metal suitcase that also housed six sex toys, one for each member of the band.

East is a noun, adjective, or adverb indicating direction or geography. East is one of the four cardinal directions or compass points. It is the opposite of west and is perpendicular to north and south.
Etymology
The word east comes from Middle English est, from Old English ēast, which itself comes from the Proto-Germanic *aus-to- or *austra- "east, toward the sunrise", from Proto-Indo-European *aus- "to shine," or "dawn". This is similar to Old High German *ōstar "to the east", Latin aurora "dawn", and Greek ēōs or heōs.Ēostre, a Germanic goddess of dawn, might have been a personification of both dawn and the cardinal points.
Navigation
By convention, the right hand side of a map is east. This convention has developed from the use of a compass, which places north at the top.
To go east using a compass for navigation, set a bearing or azimuth of 90°.
Cultural
East is the direction toward which the Earth rotates about its axis, and therefore the general direction from which the Sun appears to rise. The practice of praying towards the East is older than Christianity, but has been adopted by this religion as the Orient was thought of as containing mankind's original home. Hence, most Christian churches are oriented towards the east.

Cyndi Lauper
Cynthia Ann Stephanie "Cyndi" Lauper (born June 22, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, actress and LGBT activist. Her career has spanned over 30 years. Her debut solo album She's So Unusual (1983) was the first debut female album to chart four top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100—"Girls Just Want to Have Fun", "Time After Time", "She Bop", and "All Through the Night" earned Lauper the Best New Artist award at the 27th Grammy Awards in 1985. Her success continued with the soundtrack for the motion picture The Goonies and her second record True Colors (1986). This album included the number one hit of the same name and "Change of Heart" which peaked at number 3.
Since 1989, Lauper has released nine studio albums and participated in many other projects. Her most recent album, Memphis Blues, became Billboard's most successful blues album of the year, remaining at #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart for 13 consecutive weeks. In 2013, Lauper won the Tony Award for Best Original Score for the Broadway musical Kinky Boots, making her the first woman in history to win the composing category by herself. She became the first artist in over 25 years to top the dance charts with a Broadway tune. In 2014, Lauper was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for the cast recording.

St. Louis
St. Louis (/seɪnt ˈluːɪs/ or /sənt ˈluːɪs/) is a city and port in the U.S. state of Missouri. The city developed along the western bank of the Mississippi River, which forms Missouri's border with Illinois. LOL This was also my first time riding my new used Lemond Poprad. The ride was enjoyable but I think the 25mm tires are too harsh for longer rides and will change them to wider 32mm tires. What I should have done is made a left on Collinsville shortly after exiting the Eads Bridge, and then made a left onto Illinois 3.
I eventually found my way back across the Mississippi River via the McKinley Bridge and the Riverfront Trail into St. Louis Missouri as I had originally intended.
The Illinois cities I passed through include East St. Louis, National CIty, Brookyln, and Venice.
I stopped at least 5 times to check my phone and figure out where I was and how to get back home. I need a better map app or GPS.
The MIssissippi River is the largest river in North America and I crossed it twice in this video.
By the time I reached Saint Louis University the sun had dropped below the horizon and without a flashlight I had to call for a ride home.
- Don't ride in the dark without a bright headlight. It's too dangerous. ;)
- Map your route ahead of time to save time unless you want to purposefully get lost like me. Have some a physical map or offline maps on your phone in case GPS and connection issues occur.
- It was a very hot summer day too! Bring plenty of water with you when you expect to be out for any length of time. I filled up at a water fountain once. And I forgot I had an energy bar with me. LOL
This was also my first time riding my new used Lemond Poprad. The ride was enjoyable but I think the 25mm tires are too harsh for longer rides and will change them to wider 32mm tires.

What I should have done is made a left on Collinsville shortly after exiting the Eads Bridge, and then made a left onto Illinois 3.
I eventually found my way back across the Mississippi River via the McKinley Bridge and the Riverfront Trail into St. Louis Missouri as I had originally intended.
The Illinois cities I passed through include East St. Louis, National CIty, Brookyln, and Venice.
I stopped at least 5 times to check my phone and figure out where I was and how to get back home. I need a better map app or GPS.
The MIssissippi River is the largest river in North America and I crossed it twice in this video.
By the time I reached Saint Louis University the sun had dropped below the horizon and without a flashlight I had to call for a ride home.
- Don't ride in the dark without a bright headlight. It's too dangerous. ;)
- Map your route ahead of time to save time unless you want to purposefully get lost like me. Have some a physical map or offline maps on your phone in case GPS and connection issues occur.
- It was a very hot summer day too! Bring plenty of water with you when you expect to be out for any length of time. I filled up at a water fountain once. And I forgot I had an energy bar with me. LOL
This was also my first time riding my new used Lemond Poprad. The ride was enjoyable but I think the 25mm tires are too harsh for longer rides and will change them to wider 32mm tires.

DU HAST was the second single from the album SEHNSUCHT, which entered the German single charts at Number 5 in August 1997.
Biography:
Rammstein was formed in 1993 by an ensemble of factory-weary proletarians raised in East Germany. They took their name (adding an "m") from the location of a German tragedy where 80 people were injured and killed as the result of a crash during an American Air Force air show. The literal translation of "Ram Stein" is a battering ram made of stone.
Word of Rammstein's horror/romanticist blend of theater and music - spread quickly - one-time Olympic swimmer Till Lindemann would sometimes sing entire songs engulfed in flame from head to toe. The band's first album, HERZELEID (English: Heartache), elaborated on the foundations set by the band's live reputation. Scaling the German charts, and remaining there until the release of the second Rammstein LP some two years later, the album also introduced the band to the world outside of the Germany/Switzerland/Austria region.
As Rammstein's second album, SEHNSUCHT (English: Longing), was released, the band was playing headlines shows across Europe to crowds of 10,000 to 30,000 people. SEHNSUCHT entered the German charts at number one immediately upon its release and came very close to doing the same in Austria and Switzerland. Within weeks, entries on other countries' charts had SEHNSUCHT rubbing elbows with The Prodigy, Radiohead, and The Rolling Stones on Billboard's cumulative Eurochart. From there the fever spread, transcending any perceived language barrier.

Ancient Life on Spectacle Island
Some 6,000 years ago, Boston was well inland from the ocean, but as rising sea levels poured in tidal waters around the hills east of Boston, ancient Native Americans lost no time adapting to and enjoying the change. Spectacle Island preserved a wonderful record of several thousand years of clam bakes, fishing and other activities, excavated as part of the Big Dig project. While Martin Dudek, Senior Project Manager of Commonwealth Heritage Group, will focus on Native American sites on Spectacle Island, he will also include a brief overview of other exciting archaeological sites worked on for the Big Dig.

Trump is flying into the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, where the rally is taking place at the Dow Chemical Hanger, 3259 Harriet Quimby Ave., on the airport’s northeast side. Doors opened at 10 a.m. and the event is scheduled to begin at noon. Public Service Commissioner Eric Skrmetta, an early Trump surrogate in Louisiana, says he does not expect the president-elect to motorcade anywhere in Baton Rouge, so traffic issues should be limited. Louisiana State Police, the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office are coordinating with the U.S. Secret Service to handle security, but declined to disclose any details about traffic or road closures. Department of Transportation and Development spokesman Brendan Rush says motorists can moniter www.511la.org and follow local news media throughout the day for road closures and traffic updates.
The visit comes at a crucial time for Trump, who was often at odds with the establishment wing of the Republican party during his presidential campaign, The Associated Press reports. The incoming president now has reason to consolidate any lingering factions within the national party, most immediately in Louisiana where Kennedy is battling Democratic Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell for the last open U.S. Senate seat.
Kennedy has held a lead in polls against Campbell, but the Democrat has had an influx of fundraising dollars in recent weeks. Congressional Republicans will have a narrow 52-48 Senate majority next year if they maintain the Louisiana seat currently held by retiring U.S. Sen. David Vitter.
Vitter and U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy will also be at today’s rally, according to the Louisiana GOP. Another 11 Republicans will join Trump, including Majority Whip Steve Scalise, Attorney General Jeff Landry and all sitting Republican congressmen from the state.
Meanwhile, Campbell’s campaign has requested equal coverage today, ahead of Trump’s visit. The campaign is holding event this morning at the Hilton in downtown Baton Rouge.
White, in other news, will try to make up for ground lost in early voting, where African American voters in East Baton Rouge Parish turned out in relatively high numbers likely in support of his rival, former state Sen.Sharon Weston Broome. Both are looking to succeed Baton Rouge’s term-limited current mayor, Kip Holden.
White and Broome faced off last night in the final televised debate before Saturday’s runoff election, tackling familiar issues like traffic, crime and education.

To honor the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Event on Friday, November 11. The day’s activities include live musical entertainment, a civil war encampment, a military vehicle display, and a program honoring all branches of our military.
From 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., located outdoors, learn about the Civil War during our Civil War re-enactments by the Washington Artillery of New Orleans, explore WWII and current military vehicles, and enjoy musical performances by the Armory Band.
The program, which begins at 10:30 a.m. in our main auditorium, includes an honor guard, live music, and keynote remarks by Vice Admiral Fred Midgette, Commander, Pacific Area Commander, Coast Guard Defense Force West. Vice Admiral Midgette serves as the operational commander for all U.S. Coast Guard missions within half of the world that ranges from the Rocky Mountains to the waters off the East Coast of Africa.
Following the program, we will be showing the documentary They Were Our Fathers in our auditorium. Some 20,000 American boys and girls lost their fathers during the Vietnam War. Their stories serve as powerful testimonies about the true cost of war. They Were Our Fathers is a documentary which was filmed in Washington D.C. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as hundreds of these children, now men and women, honored their dads on Father's Day with a special ceremony and remembrances left at The Wall. Each of these Gold Star sons and daughters has a unique story to tell. They are bonded together in tragedy but also joined together in patriotism, honor and respect for the fathers they loved and lost. Their stories serve as powerful testimonies about the true cost of war.
Outdoor events and the program and documentary screening are free to attend, however reservations are recommended to attend the program. Museum admission rates apply to visit the Reagan Museum, Air Force One Pavilion, and our special exhibit, Interactive!. Veterans with valid ID will receive free admission to the Museum on November 11. Active military members with valid ID are always free.
