Resorts International Holdings

Resorts International Holdings, LLC (RIH), also known as Colony Resorts Holdings (CRH) is an affiliate of Colony Capital, LLC based in Las Vegas, Nevada. RIH was created by Colony Capital in 2000 after it purchased Resorts Atlantic City from Sun International for $144 million. The holding company was created with the goal of snapping up declining casinos for a bargain price and then running them as efficiently and profitably as possible without investing too much capital. In the words of company president Nick Ribis: "I paid $90,000 per room, and Wynn's rooms cost $1 million! If I charge $130 a night I make tons of money! He has to get over $300!"

In 2001 Resorts International Holdings purchased the Las Vegas Hilton from Park Place Entertainment for $280 million and in 2005 it purchased four more properties from Caesars and Harrah's for a total of $1.24 billion prior to the Harrah's buyout of Caesars. The four properties are: Bally's Tunica, Resorts Casino Tunica, Ameristar Casino East Chicago and Atlantic City Hilton.

Diamond Resorts International

Diamond Resorts International (DRI) is a full service hospitality and vacation ownership company (similar to a destination club or a timeshare), with a network of more than 350 worldwide vacation destinations in 34 countries throughout the continental United States, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, Central America, Europe, Asia, Australasia and Africa (many of them formerly owned by Sunterra resorts and timeshares). In addition, four cruise itineraries are also available through DRI timeshare exchange.

DRI global headquarters is located at 10600 W Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada. It claims to be "one of the largest hospitality companies in the world". Presently DRI has more than 490,000 owners and members.

The Founder and Chairman, Stephen J. Cloobeck, was featured in the season premiere of Undercover Boss (US) Season 4 on January 15, 2012. He was the first Chairman and CEO to go undercover a second time on November 30, 2012.

Stephen J. Cloobeck was the founding Chairman of the Board of Brand USA, formerly the US Corporation for Travel Promotion.

MGM Resorts International

MGM Resorts International is a Paradise, Nevada based gaming, hospitality and entertainment company. It generated about $9.8 billion in 2013. It owns and operates 15 properties in Nevada, Mississippi, and Michigan, and has 50% investments in four other properties in Nevada, Illinois and Macau, China.

The company began operations in 1987 as MGM Grand, Inc., and became MGM Mirage in 2000, after acquiring Mirage Resorts. In the mid-2000s, growth of its non-gaming (lodging, food, retail) revenue began to outpace gaming receipts and demand for high-rise condominiums was surging, with median property prices in Las Vegas twice the national average. The company shifted its business model from fully owning and operating resorts and casinos, to being more real estate focused—launching the massive CityCenter mixed-use project. However, the latter's development coincided with vast overbuilding on the Strip and a global financial crisis, causing large losses and writedowns in valuation.

Mad Money

Mad Money is an American finance television program hosted by Jim Cramer that began airing on CNBC on March 14, 2005. Its main focus is investment and speculation, particularly in publicly traded stocks. In a notable departure from the CNBC programming style prior to its arrival, Mad Money presents itself in an entertainment-style format rather than a news broadcasting one.

Cramer defines "mad money" as the money one "can use to invest in stocks ... not retirement money, which you want in 401K or an IRA, a savings account, bonds, or the most conservative of dividend-paying stocks."

Mad Money replaced Dylan Ratigan's Bullseye for the 6 p.m. Eastern Time slot. On January 8, 2007, CNBC began airing reruns of the show at 11 p.m. Eastern Time, on Monday through Friday, and at 4 a.m. Eastern Time, on Saturdays.

In March 2012, the program became a part of what was formerly branded as NBC All Night in the nominal 3:07 a.m. ET/2:07 a.m. timeslot on weeknights, replacing week-delayed repeats of NBC's late night talk shows. In that form, only the video for the program was presented on a 16:9 screen with gray branded windowboxing and pillarboxing, with all enhanced business information, including the CNBC Ticker, removed. Because of the scheduling of local station's 4 a.m. or 4:30 a.m. newscasts to air Early Today depending on how a station schedules its overnight programming (even if it airs at the regular time in the Eastern and Pacific time zones for instance, seven minutes would have to be cut-off to fit in Early Today and a local newscast starting at 4:30 a.m.), it is subject to local pre-emption, including by NBC O&O's.
