Travel video about destination South-Africa. Johannesburg is the commercial centre of South Africa. Since gold was first discovered there, everything has revolved around money and from the 50th floor of Africa’s tallest building, The Carlton Towers, there is an all-engulfing view of the city’s narrow streets and jungle of concrete and glass. The African Museum is a contemporary building and one of South Africa’s most exquisite landmarks, it contains a large variety of geological exhibits and detailed accounts of the city’s past surface mining that gave rise to the country’s massive gold rush. The resistance to apartheid is also illustrated, as well as the history of Africa’s native inhabitants who journeyed from present day Botswana to the south of the country. In contrast to Johannesburg, Pretoria grew at a calmer pace and has developed from a Boer farming municipality into South Africa’s administrative capital. Located on a hill is the Vortrekker Monument that is a reminder of the Boers’ Great Trek and, in 1830, the crucial battle in which they defeated the Zulus. Sun City is a magnificent fantasy world full of African ambience and the Sun City Hotel is the casino that made Sol Kerzner the richest man in South Africa, whereas the futuristic Cascades Hotel derived its name from its wonderful setting of waterfalls, pools and lush plant life. The route travels northeast over the misty and one time heavily defended Drakens Mountains in the direction of the Kruger Park that extends along the border with Mosambique. From Kruger, the journey continues across Swaziland and Kwazulu Natal to Port Elizabeth on the Indian Ocean’s south coast. Along the rocky coastline a road leads to the southernmost tip of Africa, the Cape Of Good Hope. For those lucky enough to experience it, the drive on the spectacular mountain road around the Cape is an amazing adventure. One of the many natural wonders of this unique land that unites European influence with African pride.

World Tube https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Travel Guide South Africa http://bit.ly/12NxxNm Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Pretoria in South Africa, which was named after Andries Pretorius, a Boer strategies who beat the Zulu. Visit Pretoria in South Africa Pretoria was named after Andries Pretorius, a Boer strategies who beat the Zulu. The first war between the English and Boer to get independence ended with the defeat of the English. But 18 years later, they had a decisive victory and they ruled all over the South African republic. It's interesting that the later prime minister, the young Churchan took part as a correspondent in the second Boer war. The sites of Pretoria remind us of the two wars even today. Paul Kruger was the respected President of the country between the two wars. In Church Wit, we can find the simple house where he lived for seven years. The entrance is guarded by two marble lions. The furniture looks as if the President had just stood from his desk. In one of the rooms, the copy of the room in which he died during his exile in Switzerland has been furnished. Behind the house, a locomotive has been displayed that he traveled around the country in during his seven active years. In the street named after Kruger, we can find the red bricked church and the town hall with the Pretoria statues in its yard. The brown statue of President Kruger has been placed in the main square called church square. Statues made in Italy stood in a store houses a secret for a long time. It was stood up only after the second Boer war. The square has always been a heart of the town. In the middle of the square, there's a small church around which markets and auctions where held for long time. In the square, we can find the palace of justice and the building of the old parliament with the clock tower. The peace agreement closing the English Boer war was signed into the Victorian building of Melrose house in May 1902. Boer Trekker monument is six kilometers from the town center. The imposing work was made in memory of the battle of Blood River where the Boer beat the Zulu at last. Further way above forty kilometers from Pretoria, we can see premiere diamond mine which is famous because the biggest diamond of the world was found here. It took cutters from Amsterdam two years to make the diamonds called the star of Africa and the smaller star of Africa from the 3,106 karat precious stone which belongs to the British royal crown. The crown can be admired in the treasury of the towel of London. In the main square full of life hawkers offer fast food for example boiled or roasted corn. Cape Town, South Africa Tourism (HD) - South Africa Vacation Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa and is the capital of the Western Cape Province, as well as being the legislative capital of South Africa (the Houses of Parliament are here). It is located in the south-west corner of the country near the Cape of Good Hope, and is the most southern city in Africa. It is a stone's throw from South Africa's world-famous Cape Winelands around Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. Cape Town is the second-most populous city in South Africa, after Johannesburg, and the provincial capital and primate city of the Western Cape. As the seat of the National Parliament, it is also the legislative capital of the country. It forms part of the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. The city is famous for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape floral kingdom, as well as for such well-known landmarks as Table Mountain and Cape Point. Located on the shore of Table Bay, Cape Town was first developed by the Dutch East India Company as a victualling (supply) station for Dutch ships sailing to East Africa, India, and the Far East. Jan van Riebeeck's arrival on 6 April 1652 established the first permanent European settlement in South Africa. Cape Town quickly outgrew its original purpose as the first European outpost at the Castle of Good Hope, becoming the economic and cultural hub of the Cape Colony. Until the Witwatersrand Gold Rush and the development of Johannesburg, Cape Town was the largest city in South Africa. Today it is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, reflecting its role as a major destination for immigrants and expatriates[4] to South Africa. In 2011 the metropolitan region had an estimated population of 3.74 million. The city was named the World Design Capital for 2014 by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design. In 2014 Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by The New York Times.

These are some of the tips I learned while traveling in South Africa for a month on a study abroad program. With Wayne Brandenburg
World Tube https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Travel Guide South Africa http://bit.ly/12NxxNm Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Cape Peninsula in South Africa, which was once an island, but about sixty million years ago it was joined to the mainland by the emergence from the sea of the sandy area now known as the Cape Flats. On the motorway leaving the beaches and bays of Cape Town, we go past the mountain range called The 12 Apostles. The Governor, Sir Rufane Donkin named the sandstone peaks. At the bottom of the mountain lies the most beautiful Villa Cora of Cape Town. Several foreigners have bought a house here among the palm trees facing the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The rocky bays favor the various water sports of surfing and kiting. The cape's bay has a popular region of resorts with places for a picnic and restaurants which offers local, mainly marine specialties. The nearby sandy bay is the local nudist haven. We get to Hawke Bay accompanied by colorful flowers. It's the center of tourism. It's a popular place for yachts coming from various parts of the world. At the fish market, fresh goods are sold. The restaurant furnished like a ship, we can even try the fish specialties which often served with edible flowers, it's worth the burger and shark steak. Better for us to eat them than vice versa, and tasty crab dishes. In the small shops and marketplace of mariners' waterfront, we can choose from original African souvenirs. There are colorful text files, petite silk, jewels made of shells and pearls, ornaments and carvings. Duiker, the seal island is the peculiarity of the island. We started towards it on a small motored ship on the water of the ocean. The water under us seems surprisingly clean. We could see about five to six meters deep. After we got out of the protection of the bay into the open ocean, the waves hit more and more strongly on the bow of our ship. The wind picked up. Our ship paused on the top of the waves and we glided down like on a roller coaster. On the rocks of remote mountainous passages, waves with foam went to pieces. The wind brought cold air. We were approaching the seals. In the middle of summer in January, the sound of almost 4000 seals is brought by the wind. Lots of seals lie in the sand on the stone island. One or two of them swam to our ship to welcome us. They rotated, jumped out of the water and swam along our ship lifting their tails. They're kind faces looked as if they always smiled. The surprisingly massive 1,500-meter stone island is a small picket of the Atlantic Ocean. We tried to coast closer but the seals didn't mind at all. On the rocks, two huge males were fighting for the better area. The engine of our ship was turned off. We floated on the water in silence for minutes with the company of seals. The stream of the sea drifted our ship close to the rocks so the sailors restarted the engine and we swept around the island. In the drift, as the wind is coming from the open ocean, the waves became bigger and bigger. Our ship gets some huge warnings while we were sailing back to the protection of the bay. I can see the huge stones of the jagged passage from beneath. The waves continuously hit the broken mountainside. The waves became calmer, the water was again semi transparent. We arrived at the harbor. Another group was waiting for the ship to return so they could go on a cruise to see the seals. Writer Vivian living in South Africa, she has written several articles and books about this wonderful country. 600 meters above Hawke Bay, the crooked scenic road takes us to the Cape of Good Hope. It was named after the British seaman John Shevlin who was the discoverer of the Bay. The Dutch planted in 1915 and had illegal workers build it in 7 years. From the parking area, we can see Seal Island and the rocky bays. The harbors are the places of people of various descent, color, language and culture everywhere. It's the same here. Let's enjoy the colorful odes and performances of street musicians. The famous Cape of Good Hope is the south end of Africa. The small peninsulas bordered by the Indian Ocean with its warm friendly water on the east and the Atlantic Ocean which is cooler unfriendly water on the west. Tourists flock here from afar to see the point where the two might oceans meet. We can send word to our friends from the end of the world. The stamps bought here stamped with the Cape of Good Hope's stamp. A nature reserve established here is about 8000 hectares. The huge savannah burst into blossom during the autumn months giving an unforgettable spectacle to those who visit the area that time. The Area of Clanwilliam which is located on the north from here is also famous for its flowers. On the Peninsula, 1,200 kinds of plants and several kinds of animals live, 160 of them are birds. We can see antelopes, ostriches and baboons. Their special because they're the only monkeys who eat seafood such as fish, shell and algae.
World Tube https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Travel Guide South Africa http://bit.ly/12NxxNm Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of the Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa, which is the third largest game reservation of the country which was opened in 1979. Visiting Pilanesberg in South Africa The Pilanesberg national park is the third largest game reservation of the country which was opened in 1979 all together 8,000 specimens of several species of animals lived here among them, the five big games, lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinoceroses. Besides them we can see giraffes, zebras, antelopes and monkeys of course. Safari is done open buses around the park so there's a good opportunity to take photographs. Of course it's not allowed to get off the buses. It serves the safety of visitors as well as the visited animals. The motion mostly watching rhino charged us at the noise of Rocco running away. As sighted its head quickly but after the noise of my shot, my rhinoceros didn't collapse but turned around suddenly and run away. But I had time to shoot another sighting its shoulder. It happened in a moment and the rhino disappeared in a moment. Paulo was in the bad mood because he liked only to shoot the game. I beckon Paulo to move. Getting out of the shrubbery, we followed the path of the shot game. Only a rhino shot in the shoulder has such a big blood print. As if the night's fresh blood were watered by a can. My African tanning light shoes became bloody walking in the pools of blood. Our rhino lay about 80 or a hundred steps from the sight of shooting. He was lying, collapsed and turning towards us. The kirangosian and Rocco told me to shoot him because they thought it was still alive. Its horn was prominent and strong, so I was afraid that my prey was a white rhino. I leaned my gun against the rhinos back and I tried to lift his head lying in the blood to see its lips. The upper lips of black rhinoceros are pointed like a trunk but white rhinoceroses have a straight lip, I was trying to lift the heavy head using every effort and Paulo was also coming to help me. Suddenly the head became light when my rhino lifted his head and looked at me. It can imagine the look on my face as I trying to back away from the dangerous animal seemly to come to life again by jumping back. I must have set the jumping record from the year of 1929. Paulo and my people all shouted and scattered, "shoot him", it was easy to say but hard to do because my gun was leaned against the back of the rhinoceros. The rhino dropped his head back into the pool of flood. The panic was totally unnecessary. The sudden lift of the head was the last reflex of life. Now we look at the shots. The first shot intended to its forehead had hit his horn which stopped the bullet. At the same time, it stopped the rhino from running towards us. The second shot went to his shoulder going through his lung. The horn was prominently strong. It was almost 20 inches long and weighed almost 12 pounds dried up. Kalman Kittenberger wrote that one of his hunts. Ambitious tourists if not with the gun but torches in their hands can watch the game at night with local leaders. We can pay not only for a Safari at dawn, in the afternoon or at night but also a panorama flight in a balloon with champagne where we can watch the animals from a safe distance. It's an unforgettable trip above the Pilanesberg Mountains. Beside the national park, we can find some of accommodations of various equipment, size and price. There are African bungalows with reed roof and public bathrooms with cold water and luxurious apartments with a swimming pool and self service dinning. From the terrace of some hotels, we can watch wild animals in the day and hear the cries of wild life lying in our beds at night. Port Elizabeth, South Africa (HD) Tours - South Africa Vacation Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube Port Elizabeth or The Bay (Zulu: Bhayi; Xhosa: iBhayi; Afrikaans: Die Baai) is one of the largest cities in South Africa, situated in the Eastern Cape Province, 770 km (478 mi) east of Cape Town. The city, often shortened to PE and nicknamed "The Friendly City" or "The Windy City", stretches for 16 km along Algoa Bay, and is one of the major seaports in South Africa. Port Elizabeth was founded as a town in 1820 to house British settlers as a way of strengthening the border region between the Cape Colony and the Xhosa. It now forms part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality which has a population of over 1.3 million. Tourism Port Elizabeth, South Africa ======== Located at the end of the picturesque Garden Route along the Cape coast, the city is one of South Africa's major destinations for tourists, many of whom come simply to enjoy the many fine beaches in and near the city. The area surrounding the CBD has a number of historic attractions, many of which are linked by the Donkin Heritage Trail. These include the Campanile (bell tower), built in 1923 to commemorate the arrival of the 1820 Settlers and offering a great viewpoint over the city; the city hall (1862); the Donkin Reserve park and monument; and the old stone Fort Frederick itself (1799). The CBD also boasts the towering Eastern Cape post office headquarters. Other attractions include the gardens at St George's Park, the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum (formerly known as the King George VI Art Gallery), the museum and oceanography room at Humewood, and the new Boardwalk waterfront complex. The wider area surrounding PE also features a number of game viewing opportunities, including the famous Addo Elephant Park, 72 kilometres (45 mi) to the north near the Zuurberg mountain range and National Park. Port Elizabeth is known commonly as the watersports capital of South Africa and home of Ironman Africa. Algoa bay is home to scuba diving, game fishing charters, surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding to name but a few. There are many cruises offered from the harbour from sunset cruises to view dolphins to whale watching tours. Port Elizabeth is also a great destination for whale watching with humpback whales sighted between June and August, and again between November and January, Southern right whales sighted between July and November, and Bryde's whales sighted all year round. Boat-based whale watching trips are run out of the Port Elizabeth harbour where guests are allowed close encounters with these majestic creatures, among other marine animals.

South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is a country located at the southern tip of Africa. It is divided into nine provinces and has 2,798 kilometres (1,739 mi) of coastline. To the north of the country lie the neighbouring territories of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe; to the east are Mozambique and Swaziland; while Lesotho is an enclave surrounded by South African territory.
South Africa is multi-ethnic and has diverse cultures and languages. Eleven official languages are recognised in the constitution. Two of these languages are of European origin: South African English and Afrikaans, a language which originated mainly from Dutch that is spoken by the majority of white and Coloured South Africans. Though English is commonly used in public and commercial life, it is only the fifth most-spoken home language. All ethnic and language groups have political representation in the country's constitutional democracy comprising a parliamentary republic; unlike most parliamentary republics, the positions of head of state and head of government are merged in a parliament-dependent President.
Once I was anothers lover
Now I am my own
Trying to call myself a brother
Living here alone
Maybe if you came to see me
Wishing I wasn't so blind
Sitting here thinking to be free
Maybe we'd all change our mind
She is kind and beautiful
I am young and strong
We have never met each other
But it can't be long
Oft' I have slept by her window
Often I whisper her name
And wonder that words in the wind blow
