Trash Pack

The Trash Pack is a brand of collectible toys produced by Moose Toys, first launched in 2011. Toys are released in series, all with their own specific themes, and to date there are seven series. Along with the individual toys the line also includes other merchandise such as video games, activity books, and sticker albums. A Trash Pack magazine has also been released through PONY Magazine.

Description

The individual toys are called "Trashies" and are typically made of rubber. Each comes in a container shaped like a trash can, the color and size of which can change depending on the series. Limited and special edition Trashies are frequently composed of non-rubber materials. Each Trashie will have a certain name and various toys will have specific attributes such as the ability to glow in the dark or change colors. Particularly rare Trashies have been known to sell for as much as A£1296.

Nintendo

In 2012 a Nintendo game entitled The Trash Pack was developed by Webfoot Technologies in partnership with Moose Enterprises. It was released for the Nintendo DS and 3DS on October 30, 2012 and allows players to collect Trashies and play four mini-games. Critical reception for the game has been negative.

Reprise Records

Reprise Records /rəˈpriz/ is an American major record label, founded in 1960 by Frank Sinatra. It was mostly inactive from 1976 to 1987. It is owned by Warner Music Group, and operates through Warner Bros. Records.

Company history

Beginnings

Reprise Records was formed in 1960 by Frank Sinatra in order to allow more artistic freedom for his own recordings. Hence, he garnered the nickname "The Chairman of the Board". Having left Capitol/EMI, and after trying to buy Norman Granz's Verve Records, the first album Sinatra released on Reprise was Ring-a-Ding-Ding! As CEO of Reprise, Sinatra recruited several artists for the fledgling label, such as fellow Rat Pack members Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. The original roster from 1961 to 1963 included Bing Crosby, Jo Stafford, Rosemary Clooney, Nancy Sinatra, Esquivel and stand-up comedian Redd Foxx. The label still issues any Sinatra work recorded while on the label and, after his death in 1998, it had great success with his greatest hits collections.

Bubble gum

Bubble gum is a type of chewing gum, designed to freshen breath and to be inflated out of the mouth as a bubble.

History

In 1928, Walter E. Diemer, an accountant for the Fleer Chewing Gum Company in Philadelphia, was experimenting with new gum recipes. One recipe was found to be less sticky than regular chewing gum, and stretched more easily. This gum became highly successful and was eventually named by the president of Fleer as Dubble Bubble because of its stretchy texture. The original bubble gum was pink in color because that was the only dye Diemer had on hand at the time and it was his favorite color. This Dubble Bubble chewing gum was said (by many critics) to have a very rotten egg texture.

In modern chewing gum, if natural rubber such as chicle is used, it must pass several purity and cleanliness tests. However, most modern types of chewing gum use synthetic gum based materials. These materials allow for longer-lasting flavor, a better texture, and a reduction in tackiness.

Green Day

Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 by vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. For much of their career, the band has been a trio with drummer Tré Cool, who replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1990 prior to the recording of the band's second studio album, Kerplunk (1992). In 2012, guitarist Jason White became a full-time member after having performed with the band as a session and touring member since 1999.

Green Day was originally part of the punk scene at the DIY 924 Gilman Street club in Berkeley, California. The band's early releases were with the independent record label Lookout! Records. In 1994, its major label debut Dookie (released through Reprise Records) became a breakout success and eventually shipped over 10 million copies in the U.S. Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands Sublime,Bad Religion, The Offspring and Rancid, with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States.
