Prachya Pinkaew
Prachya Pinkaew (Thai: ปรัชญา ปิ่นแก้ว; rtgs: Pratya Pinkaeo; born September 2, 1962) is a Thai film director, film producer and screenwriter. His films include Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior and Tom-Yum-Goong, both martial arts films starring Tony Jaa.
Biography
Prachya graduated from Nakhon Ratchasima Technology College in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand, in 1985, majoring in architecture. He began his career in 1990, working as an art director and later as creative director at Packshot Entertainment, an advertising firm. He directed music videos and won several Best Music Video Awards at Thailand's Golden Television Awards.
His first feature film was made in 1992 and called The Magic Shoes. It was followed in 1995 by Dark Side Romance, a karmic thriller-romance.
By 1998, Open Maker Head and BaaRamEwe 1999 was concentrating on producing films, including the vampire movie Body Jumper, the action-comedy Heaven's Seven, the horror movie 999-9999, the musical Hoedown Showdown, the frankly sexual comedy Sayew and the arthouse drama Fake.

Sukanya
In Hindu mythology, Sukanya (Sanskrit: सुकन्या) was the daughter of Sharyati, son of Vaivasvata Manu and the wife of the great sage Chyavana.
The sage had spent so long in meditation that he was covered by a crows nest. The beautiful girl Sukanya came upon the nest and saw two shining objects inside. Not realizing these were the eyes of the sage, she poked playfully at them, and the sage was blinded.
Chyavana was enraged, and Sukanya's father placated him by offering her in marriage. After their marriage Sukanya served the sage cheerfully, despite his old age and blindness.
One day she was spotted by the Ashwini Kumaras, identical twins who served as physicians of the gods, who decided that her ethereal beauty was worthy of residence in heaven rather than languishing on the Earth serving an old blind sage. They asked her to marry one of them. Being a faithful wife, she vehemently objected to their request. Pleased with her devotion to her husband, the Ashwini Kumaras offered to restore her husband's youth and eyesight. The bargain was conditional on Sukanya's ability to distinguish her husband from the twins themselves. If she failed to do so they would return him to old age and blindness. All parties accepted these terms. The Ashwini Kumaras asked Chyavana to accompany them into the nearby pond. Being demigods, the Ashwini Kumaras left no footprints on the bank as they exited the pond. Although the rejuvenated sage looked identical to the twins, he left footprints. The Ashwini Kumaras blessed the couple and left. In return they also requested that the sage give them a share of the sacrificial offerings in the future. This results in a conflict with the king of god, Indra.

His films include Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior, Tom-Yum-Goong (also called Warrior King or The Protector), Ong-Bak 2: The Beginning, Ong Bak 3 and Tom Yum Goong 2 (or The Protector 2).
Early life
Tony Jaa was born in Surin province, Isan, Thailand, and was raised in a rural area in Surin. His hometown is 400 km from Bangkok. As he grew up he watched films by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Vince Lam and Jet Li at temple fairs, which was his inspiration to learn martial arts. He was so inspired by them that while he was doing chores or playing with friends, he would imitate the martial arts moves that he had seen, practicing in his father's rice paddy.

Panna Rittikrai
Panna Rittikrai (Thai: พันนา ฤทธิไกร; rtgs: Phanna Ritthikrai) or birth name Krittiya Lardphanna (Thai: กฤติยา ลาดพันนา;rtgs: Krittiya Latphanna, February 17, 1961 – July 20, 2014) was a Thai martial arts action choreographer, film director, screenwriter and actor. The leader of the Muay Thai Stunt team (previously known as P.P.N. Stunt Team), he is best known for his work as martial arts and action choreographer on the 2003 film Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior and 2005's Tom-Yum-Goong (known as The Protector in the US), which starred Tony Jaa, whom Panna mentored.

Early films
"You've probably never heard of my movies," Panna told the Bangkok Post in a 2004 interview. "They are popular among taxi drivers and som tam vendors and security guards and Isan coolies. My loyalest fans are folk people in the far-out tambons, where they lay out mattresses on the ground and drink moonshine whisky while watching my outdoor movies."
Born in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, Panna started out in the movie business in 1979 as a physical trainer for actors in Bangkok. Learning a little about filmmaking and inspired by the movies of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, as well as stunts seen in James Bond movies, Panna moved back to Khon Kaen and formed his own stunt team, the P.P.N. Stunt Team (actually known as Muay Thai Stunt) and set about making films.

Dan Chupong
Chupong Changprung (born March 23, 1981 in Kalasin Province, Thailand,Thai: ชูพงษ์ ช่างปรุง, Thai nickname: "Deaw") is a Thai martial arts film actor. He is also known by his Westernized name, Dan Chupong (the given name is alternatively spelled Choopong or Choupong, and the first name is sometimes Danny). Starting out as part of the stunt team of martial-arts choreographer Panna Rittikrai, Chupong's first film credit was as "Bodyguard 4" in Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior. He then went on to leading roles in the 2004 film, Born to Fight and 2006 film Dynamite Warrior. He has also appeared in Nonzee Nimibutr's Queen of Langkasuka (2008), Somtum (2008), Ong Bak 2 (uncredited) and portrayed the main antagonist in Ong Bak 3.
To stay prepared for his film roles, Chupong has a regular workout routine that includes running and gymnastics. He took acting lessons to prepare for his role in Dynamite Warrior.

The Good: The simple plot. The expanding of more 'lasting' and interesting characters makes the movie a lot better overall
The Bad: Fights are not as intensive as The Protector / Tom Yum Goong / ต้มยำกุ้ง. The CG is clearly obvious though the green screen effects are not noticeable.

Kham's brother is kidnapped and as Kham goes on the rescue, he discovers a bigger conspiracy that would have international percussions.

Trong khi đó, hai cô cháu gái sinh đôi của Boss Suchart là Ping Ping (Jeeja Yanin) và Xu Xinh (Teerada Kittisiriprasert) cũng tìm cách trả thù cho người bác xấu số. Thật may mắn cho Kham khi anh gặp Sergeant Mark (Mum Jokmok), đặc vụ Interpol được cử đến Thái Lan để thực hiện một nhiệm vụ bí mật.

Giống như Thành Long, Tony Jaa đến với điện ảnh bằng công việc của một diễn viên thế thân (stuntman). Tony Jaa tên thật là Panom Yeerum, sinh ngày 5/2/1975 tại miền quê Surin, Thái Lan trong một gia đình nông dân nghèo. Từ nhỏ, Tony đã biết phụ giúp cha mẹ bằng việc dẫn mấy con voi nhà mình nuôi đến các điểm du lịch để cho du khách thuê để chụp ảnh kỷ niệm. #TonyJaa
Tony rất mê điện ảnh, đặc biệt là xem phim Thành Long, mơ ước sau này sẽ trở thành một siêu sao võ thuật như Thành Long. Để thực hiện ước mơ đó, năm 15 tuổi, Tony bắt đầu đi học quyền Thái.
Năm 17 tuổi, Tony trúng tuyển vào Học viện thể dục nghệ thuật. Anh vừa đi học vừa đi làm diễn viên thế thân để kiếm tiền học phí, và quan trọng hơn là tìm đường “tiếp cận” với điện ảnh.
Biết mình không có ngoại hình nên khó được chú ý, Tony đã nghĩ ra một cách tự giới thiệu mình rất độc đáo: quay một đoạn phim biểu diễn những thế võ do mình sáng tạo. Gom góp chút tiền dành dụm được sau một thời gian làm diễn viên thế thân, Tony mua phim nhựa, thuê máy về quay. Thế nhưng khi mang phim đi tráng, mọi hy vọng đều sụp đổ trước mắt vì… phim hỏng.
Anh đành thú nhận với cha mẹ. Ước nguyện của anh được ủng hộ, gia tài 50 ngàn bath của gia đình đã bị một đoạn phim dài khoảng 15 phút ngốn sạch. Bù lại, tài năng của anh được đạo diễn Prachya Pinkaew, một tên tuổi rất nổi tiếng trong làng phim võ thuật Thái Lan chú ý. Và trong bộ phim Ong Bak, Tony đã có cơ hội đảm nhận vai chính.
Ong Bak là tác phẩm đầu tay, đồng thời là bộ phim giúp Tony Jaa tạo chỗ đứng trên màn ảnh, trở thành một ngôi sao võ thuật đầy triển vọng. Tuy diễn xuất vẫn còn rất non, ngoại hình lại không “bắt mắt” nhưng chính tài nghệ võ thuật của anh đã chinh phục công chúng. Thành Long vốn được xem là người thích mạo hiểm nhưng chưa chắc đã có thể phóng người nhảy qua chiếc xe hơi, hay xoay hai vòng san-tô trên không rồi tung cú đá như Tony Jaa.
Bộ phim Ong Bak không chỉ đạt doanh thu kỷ lục ở Thái Lan năm 2004 mà còn rất được yêu thích khi đến Hong Kong, Đài Loan và đặc biệt là khu vực Bắc Mỹ. Tạp chí Entertainment Weekly uy tín xuất bản tại Mỹ đã bình chọn Tony Jaa là một trong những “Nhân vật đáng chú ý nhất năm 2005”.
Sau thành công bất ngờ của Ong Bak, đạo diễn kiêm nhà sản xuất Prachya Pinkaew tiếp tục cộng tác với Tony Jaa trong Tom Yum Goong và Sword. Đặc biệt, hai phần tiếp theo của Ong Bak ra mắt năm 2008 và 2010 đã đạt doanh thu rất cao, đưa anh trở thành một tên tuổi mới của dòng phim võ thuật châu Á. Anh từng "đọ sức" với Johnny Trí Nguyễn trong bộ phim Tom Yum Goong (2005) trước khi ngôi sao Dòng máu anh hùng chính thức trở về Việt Nam đóng phim.
Hiện nay, các fan của Tony Jaa đang mong chờ sự xuất hiện của anh trong bộ phim Hollywood Fast & Furious 7 đóng cùng các ngôi sao hành động Mỹ Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson và Jason Statham sẽ bấm máy vào tháng 9 này.

Bù lại, tài năng của anh được đạo diễn Prachya Pinkaew, một tên tuổi rất nổi tiếng trong làng phim võ thuật Thái Lan chú ý. Và trong bộ phim Ong Bak, Tony đã có cơ hội đảm nhận vai chính.
Ong Bak là tác phẩm đầu tay, đồng thời là bộ phim giúp Tony Jaa tạo chỗ đứng trên màn ảnh, trở thành một ngôi sao võ thuật đầy triển vọng. Tuy diễn xuất vẫn còn rất non, ngoại hình lại không “bắt mắt” nhưng chính tài nghệ võ thuật của anh đã chinh phục công chúng. Thành Long vốn được xem là người thích mạo hiểm nhưng chưa chắc đã có thể phóng người nhảy qua chiếc xe hơi, hay xoay hai vòng san-tô trên không rồi tung cú đá như Tony Jaa.
Bộ phim Ong Bak không chỉ đạt doanh thu kỷ lục ở Thái Lan năm 2004 mà còn rất được yêu thích khi đến Hong Kong, Đài Loan và đặc biệt là khu vực Bắc Mỹ. Tạp chí Entertainment Weekly uy tín xuất bản tại Mỹ đã bình chọn Tony Jaa là một trong những “Nhân vật đáng chú ý nhất năm 2005”.
Sau thành công bất ngờ của Ong Bak, đạo diễn kiêm nhà sản xuất Prachya Pinkaew tiếp tục cộng tác với Tony Jaa trong Tom Yum Goong và Sword. Đặc biệt, hai phần tiếp theo của Ong Bak ra mắt năm 2008 và 2010 đã đạt doanh thu rất cao, đưa anh trở thành một tên tuổi mới của dòng phim võ thuật châu Á. Anh từng "đọ sức" với Johnny Trí Nguyễn trong bộ phim Tom Yum Goong (2005) trước khi ngôi sao Dòng máu anh hùng chính thức trở về Việt Nam đóng phim.
Hiện nay, các fan của Tony Jaa đang mong chờ sự xuất hiện của anh trong bộ phim Hollywood Fast & Furious 7 đóng cùng các ngôi sao hành động Mỹ Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson và Jason Statham sẽ bấm máy vào tháng 9 này.

We recently had the pleasure of spending some time with UK martial arts action star Dean Alexandrou.
Dean has an extensive background in physical performance, martial arts and gymnastics. His physical performances are noted for their cutting-edge and innovative choreography.
Initially heading to Hong Kong, Dean ended up working as a stuntman in Thailand.
Having forged a career as a stunt performer in the Thai film industry, Dean landed leading roles in two pan-Asian, theatrically released action films "Hanuman" and "The Brave". He has had supporting or physical roles in several notable projects such as "Batman Begins", "The Hangover II", "Scorpion King 3", "Shanghai", Tony Jaa's "The Protector", and even appeared in a Pepsi commercial with Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowles.
Dean is a filmmaker in his own right, co-directing and action directing the short film "Dohard", which was screened at the 2010 Doha Tribeca International Film Festival in front of the Qatari Royal Family.
His project-trailer for "Shanty Town Showdown" became a YouTube hit, showcasing his gravity-defying skills and martial arts prowess.
A long-time collaborator with "Who Am I?" star Ron Smoorenburg, the pair are soon to be seen in the action thriller "Reflex". Dean, who also wrote the screenplay, gave us a behind-the-scenes look, and we can tell you, ACTION FANS ARE IN FOR A TREAT!

Le bouddha Ong-bak, trésor vénéré, est précieusement gardé dans le temple de Nong Pradu, en Thaïlande. Une nuit, un jeune voyou dérobe la tête de Ong-Bak et s'enfuit pour le vendre à Bangkok. Ting, jeune orphelin élevé par le moine Pra Kru, décide de partir à la recherche de la statue. Eduqué dans la foi du bouddha, il pratique l'art ancestral du Muay Thaï, art martial aussi appelé "les 9 armes du corps". Il en connaît la puissance meurtrière et sait qu'il ne doit s'en servir qu'en dernier recours. A Bangkok, il rencontre George, petit arnaqueur, et sa complice Muay Lek. Fasciné par les talents de combattant de Ting, George l'entraîne dans des combats illégaux organisés par la mafia locale. De bagarres en courses-poursuites, Ting se lance dans une quête mouvementée pour retrouver Ong-Bak.

Le bouddha Ong-bak, trésor vénéré, est précieusement gardé dans le temple de Nong Pradu, en Thaïlande. Une nuit, un jeune voyou dérobe la tête de Ong-Bak et s'enfuit pour le vendre à Bangkok. Ting, jeune orphelin élevé par le moine Pra Kru, décide de partir à la recherche de la statue. Eduqué dans la foi du bouddha, il pratique l'art ancestral du Muay Thaï, art martial aussi appelé "les 9 armes du corps". Il en connaît la puissance meurtrière et sait qu'il ne doit s'en servir qu'en dernier recours. A Bangkok, il rencontre George, petit arnaqueur, et sa complice Muay Lek. Fasciné par les talents de combattant de Ting, George l'entraîne dans des combats illégaux organisés par la mafia locale. De bagarres en courses-poursuites, Ting se lance dans une quête mouvementée pour retrouver Ong-Bak.
