East is a noun, adjective, or adverb indicating direction or geography. East is one of the four cardinal directions or compass points. It is the opposite of west and is perpendicular to north and south.
The word east comes from Middle English est, from Old English ēast, which itself comes from the Proto-Germanic *aus-to- or *austra- "east, toward the sunrise", from Proto-Indo-European *aus- "to shine," or "dawn". This is similar to Old High German *ōstar "to the east", Latin aurora "dawn", and Greek ēōs or heōs.Ēostre, a Germanic goddess of dawn, might have been a personification of both dawn and the cardinal points.
By convention, the right hand side of a map is east. This convention has developed from the use of a compass, which places north at the top.
To go east using a compass for navigation, set a bearing or azimuth of 90°.
East is the direction toward which the Earth rotates about its axis, and therefore the general direction from which the Sun appears to rise. The practice of praying towards the East is older than Christianity, but has been adopted by this religion as the Orient was thought of as containing mankind's original home. Hence, most Christian churches are oriented towards the east.
Morning is the period of time between midnight and noon or, more commonly, the interval between sunrise and noon. Morning precedes afternoon, evening, and night in the sequence of a day. Originally, the term referred to sunrise.
The name (which comes from the Middle English word morwening) was formed from the analogy of evening using the word "morn" (in Middle English morwen), and originally meant the coming of the sunrise as evening meant the beginning of the close of the day. The Middle English morwen dropped over time and became morwe, then eventually morrow, which properly means "morning", but was soon used to refer to the following day (i.e., "tomorrow"), as in other Germanic languages—English is unique in restricting the word to the newer usage. The Spanish word "mañana" has two meanings in English: "morning," and "tomorrow," along with the word "morgen" in Dutch and German which also means both "morning," and "tomorrow." Max Weber, (General Economic History, pp23) states that the English word "morning" and the German word "Morgen" both signify the size of land strip "which an ox could plow in a day without giving out". "Tagwerk" in German, and "a day's work" in English mean the same. A Good morning in this sense might mean a good day's plow.
Softly may refer to:
Sunrise or sun up is the instant at which the upper edge of the Sun appears over the eastern horizon in the morning. The term can also refer to the entire process of the Sun crossing the horizon and its accompanying atmospheric effects.
Although the Sun appears to "rise" from the horizon, it is actually the Earth's motion that causes the Sun to appear. The illusion of a moving Sun results from Earth observers being in a rotating reference frame; this apparent motion is so convincing that most cultures had mythologies and religions built around the geocentric model, which prevailed until astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus first formulated the heliocentric model in the 16th century.
Architect Buckminster Fuller proposed the terms "sunsight" and "sunclipse" to better represent the heliocentric model, though the terms have not entered into common language.
Astronomically, sunrise occurs for only an instant: the moment at which the upper limb of the Sun appears tangent to the horizon. However, the term sunrise commonly refers to periods of time both before and after this point:
A Morning (formerly New Day, Breakfast at The New RO in the case of Ottawa, and A-Channel Morning) is a morning television show that aired on Canada's CHRO-TV in Ottawa and formerly aired on the other stations in the A system (except for A Atlantic).
Due to severe financial issues, as of March 4, 2009, only one edition of A Morning aired, namely the one at CHRO-TV Ottawa. The versions in Barrie and London were cancelled outright, and now air repeats of the previous evening's newscasts, while the Victoria edition was replaced with a simulcast of CFAX 1070's morning show. The stations have however retained their (5 p.m for Victoria) 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. local newscasts known as A News.A Atlantic also continues to produce its own morning program, Breakfast Television.
As the A network was re-launched as CTV Two on August 29, 2011, newscasts on the stations were re-branded as CTV News and (CTV Morning Live in the case of CHRO and A Atlantic) and no longer have a separate identity.

Emily Remler - Softly As In A Morning Sunrise
"This is one the best albums of the late guitarist Emily Remler (1957-1990). Supported by the marvelous rhythm section of Hank Jones, Buster Williams and the always moving Marvin "Smitty" Smith, she handles the varied material with ease and brilliance. The title cut is my personal favorite of the album. Highly recommended." By Erik Werkman ” Emily Remler’s time is so sure, so flowing, that it’s as natural to her as breathing. So is her warmth – of tone and conception. She’s a natural story-teller, keeping the narrative line alive with an exact sense of dynamics and color. “ Nat Hentoff Here Emily continues to raise her game. Her fluid technique brightens such seldom heard numbers as the Clifford Brown’s melodic “Daahoud” and her luminous arrangement of Claude Thornhill’s lovely “Snowfal...

I cross my heart and hope to live,
Because this is killing me,
Your high school heart, and JV maturity.
You played me like a freshman, you were the coach I never had.
Half way through the game, I'm not doing all that bad.
You've got fire in your eyes,
And diesel in your heart.
So toss me the keys, babe,
And show me where to start.
'Cause all I want is in, and for you to see me,
If loving you is a sin then hell is where I'll be.
I'm thinking about giving up the title to my heart,
So I write this song for you, this song's my work of art.
My feelings stay the same, and I'm spinning off the road,
My heart needs a driver so jump in and take control.
[Chorus]
Take us back, to the time that we were friends,
We felt safe with each other, 'cause we thought it would never end.
Hey baby, lets sit down and talk about this,
We've been here a few times so just the tip.
This song for you, has been a work of art,
That's why I'm giving you the pink slip to my heart.
(You know they say, lets take this all the way),
(So don't lead me on, or break my heart).
