Experience of the countryside is all about opportunity for me. It's a chance to look at life boiled down to its simplest form and better still, see things from a different view. Whether a career in the countryside is for you, or you just want to eat great food, one thing is for sure, understanding our environment is a good thing for everybody.
The British public deserve to have their say, take stock of what vision this political leader has for our country and decide which path they want our country to go down. Without such an election, Theresa May will have no mandate and the British public will have a Prime Minister they don't know and have not endorsed.
I've grown accustomed over the years to dreading going back. To knowing that the places I first explored in the early days of my career will be horrible sullied reflections of my rosiest memories, that I will end up feeling crushed, and demotivated as a result. What I saw of the Asmat was a beacon of light. It was a sign of quite how dramatically environments bounce back if given a chance.
Why a printed newspaper? One of the magic elements of print is that it is a visible indicator to the world about who you are. Print is committing. The price of the paper is your membership subscription to a club, a community. And, frankly, we thought the 48% have not been particularly well served by the existing national media. (Nor do we think they did a great job for the 52, incidentally).
Zika poses a greater risk if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby and can have very serious consequences for the unborn child, potentially resulting in deformities and stunted growth of the head. With a month to go before the Rio Olympic Games start, here are some top tips about travelling to Zika-affected areas...
I'm not naïve and I completely understand that Brexit is a massive undertaking for the government to negotiate, and probably one that none of them really want to be doing. Sadly I fear there is no question that lots of small businesses won't survive Brexit and for that reason we deserve answers sooner rather than later.
Theresa May has been handed a golden opportunity to repair Britain's increasingly toxic environmental policy and demonstrate true leadership in the face of severe, impending ecological challenges. There's still time to get back on track and show the world that we actually mean business. But if she's even remotely interested in protecting the world around her, May had better hurry up and act - because the clock has already started ticking.
I'm not a Blairite simply for wanting Labour to stand a chance. I'm not unprincipled, I just see little point in uncompromising principles that can never be put into practice. I believe in a competitive and credible Labour Party that's able to undo some of the damage left by the Conservatives, and that party doesn't exist under Corbyn.
I had no idea then just how much of a phenomenon The Naked Chef would become, and looking back to that time, I never would have thought then that I'd be sitting here today writing for The Huffington Post and kicking off their Thriving Families month. So it turns out that I did inspire quite a few people, and many of them were mums and dads. I'll never forget being chased down the street by this big, muscley bloke one day and when he caught up with me, I genuinely thought my days were numbered and he was going to punch me but he simply smiled and said: "My missus said I should start cooking because of you and if I'd seen you a few weeks ago, I would have lumped you. But actually, I'm really enjoying cooking and I'm better than you now!" That was one of those moments where I started to understand just how powerful food can be in changing people's lives for the better.
The fireworks had just finished. I'd been on the beach with my friends, and we started to head back into the Old Town, crossing the Promenade des Anglais which lines the beach. The terrorists timed their attack to the precise minute, so that the road would be full of people crossing the beach after the fireworks. It was the busiest moment possible.
The Labour Party is the only vehicle for stopping that happening and giving people hope about the future of politics, in place of deep anxiety. That is why I intend to run a leadership campaign that is full of energy, optimism and ideas for securing a better future for our country. At the launch of my campaign and over the coming weeks I will show how Labour can go further than talking about anti-austerity, by setting out ambitions ideas to invest in Britain's future.
I'm writing this on the plane. Nice is one of my favourite cities, with a setting that has the best of both the mountains and the sea. I've spent happy times there, but my mind is once again drawn to that week in London, almost exactly eleven years ago, when the atmosphere changed from jubilant to terrified.
A single parent is a manager; a manager of lives, time and of an environment and we have to divide our time and energy up amongst those who rely on us, the means to fund the process and the fuel to keep us going. It's the toughest job in the world, but also the most rewarding.
We rely on the law to safeguard justice. It is the existence of laws and challenges when they are not followed that sustains our democracy. We are now likely to be entering a period of high economic instability and the Brexit vote is also likely to result in the loss of a number of legal protections from the EU around worker's rights for example. Now more than ever our Human Rights Act is pivotal.
I clearly recall thinking we'd never travel as a family again as Natty's diagnosis of Down's syndrome was delivered, and that it was bitterly ironic to try to explain our new life path with a travel story. Telling us that our life wasn't heading where we'd planned was crushing at that time... I for one am glad I'm in this boat. And I am grateful for the friendship of my wonderful travelling companions.
The fact of the matter is, the past 18 months have seen Kim using her celebrity status to speak out on a variety of issues, both on a global scale and on topics that relate to her personally... The problem here isn't with Kim, but with us. It's not that Kim hasn't been using her platform, it's that we haven't been willing to listen to her. And why is that?
Getting pregnant at 18 didn't mean my life was over. It meant that I get to live life with Reuben. Of course I spend most of my time doing all of the dinosaur and Fireman Sam related activities but I also still do everything I used to... but I do everything with Reuben. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
In a world where democracy continues to spread and migration is commonplace, in addition to increasing demand for online services from millennial voters, there will be an imperative to provide cyber voting as standard as a complimentary channel to traditional paper and postal voting.
As a huge Ghostbusters fan, I really felt this version did the original justice. Packed with action, bucket loads of comedy and gallons of slime it really gives old and new fans alike a rollercoaster ride from start to finish and with a strong storyline riddled with cameos from the original cast, it feels as though it has everyone's approval.
This Saturday is 1,900 days since his arrest - he has not seen his family for over five years. The Foreign Office told me that during the nuclear negotiations, they did not once bring up my dad's detention with Iran. I think that was a missed opportunity... We must not rest until my dad is back home with his wife, daughter, son and two granddaughters. We have all suffered for too long. Theresa May, please do everything you can to help free Grandpa Kamal before it is too late.
Labour's NEC has a key role to play in ensuring we get our house in order. What message would it send to the public if we are can't stop the bricks being thrown through windows, or the threats to rape or kill our MPs? It's time to take responsibility and end this, before it ends us.
It has been one year since I arrived in the UK coming from Syria. One year ago, I made the perilous journey from Syria all the way to the UK. I joined thousands of people who made the difficult choice to resort to the sea to escape the five-year long and brutal war in Syria. A war which has brought the country to its knees and forced half of the nation out of their homes and caused one of the worst humanitarian crises since World War Two.
