1988 was an incredible year for Michael Jordan. He won his first MVP, Defensive Player of the year, All Star MVP, the Slam Dunk Contest, his second straight scoring title and led the Bulls to 50 wins. But at that time the best team in the East was still Larry Bird's Boston Celtics.
The Celtics won this game. Bird had 44 points to Jordan's 39. Jordan got his revenge 3 days later though in a Bulls victory over the Celtics. Jordan had 46 points and the Bulls won 50 games for the first time in a season.
I've done something a little different this time. Instead of just showing Jordan's highlights, I've shown Birds as well because this was a classic shoot out.

Forest Whitaker
Forest Steven Whitaker III (born July 15, 1961) is an American actor, director, and producer.
He has earned a reputation for intensive character study work for films such as Bird, Platoon, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai and Lee Daniels' The Butler, for his work in independent films and for his recurring role as LAPD Internal Affairs Lieutenant Jon Kavanaugh on the Emmy Award-winning television series The Shield.
Whitaker won the Academy Award, British Academy Film Award, Golden Globe Award, National Board of Review Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and various critics groups awards for his performance as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in the 2006 film The Last King of Scotland.
Early life
Whitaker was born July 15, 1961, in Longview, Texas. His family moved to Carson, California when he was four. His father, Forest Steven Jr., was an insurance salesman. Forest's mother, Laura Francis (née Smith), was a special education teacher who put herself through college and earned two master's degrees while raising her children. Whitaker has two younger brothers, Kenn and Damon, and an older sister, Deborah.

The ex arrives with his own crew to get the director as well. Action romance and the warriors. The use of real Outlaw bikers in film is a novelty. They usually keep to them selves. But with Mark Ortiz a seasoned Biker who helped get them into film this really makes a good comical wild ride thats similar to the Original Warriors in some ways. 1988 was an incredible year for Michael Jordan. He won his first MVP, Defensive Player of the year, All Star MVP, the Slam Dunk Contest, his second straight scoring title and led the Bulls to 50 wins. But at that time the best team in the East was still Larry Bird's Boston Celtics. The Celtics won this game. Bird had 44 points to Jordan's 39. Jordan got his revenge 3 days later though in a Bulls victory over the Celtics. Jordan had 46 points and the Bulls won 50 games for the first time in a season. I've done something a little different this time. Instead of just showing Jordan's highlights, I've shown Birds as well because this was a classic shoot out. Enjoy -

Forest Whitaker is a distinguished artist and humanist. Whitaker is also a talented, versatile performer and one of Hollywood's most accomplished figures. He has received prestigious artistic distinctions including the 2007 Academy Award® for Best Actor for his performance in The Last King of Scotland as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. He has also received the BAFTA Award, SAG Award, and Golden Globe® for Best Actor. In addition, Whitaker received the Best Actor for Bird at the Cannes Film Festival.

We sat down with Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker to talk about his new movie The Butler.
FOREST WHITAKER (CECIL GAINES)
Forest Whitaker is a distinguished artist and humanist. He is the founder of PeaceEarth Foundation, co-founder and chair of the International Institute for Peace and is the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Peace and Reconciliation. Whitaker is also a talented, versatile performer and one of Hollywood's most accomplished figures. He has received prestigious artistic distinctions including the 2007 Academy Award® for Best Actor for his performance in The Last King of Scotland as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. He has also received the BAFTA Award, SAG Award, and Golden Globe® for Best Actor. In addition, Whitaker received the Best Actor for Bird at the Cannes Film Festival.
Whitaker has dedicated most of his time to extensive humanitarian work over the past decade. His social awareness has compelled him to seek ways of using the film medium as a means to raise peoples' consciousness. He produced the award-winning documentary Kassim the Dream,

How to Study Effectively
Quality focus is necessary for effective study. It's difficult to make headway in any learning program without an effective study plan. If it is exams you are studying for, quality focus is what will get you those extra marks, potentially elevating you into the next grade.
Set aside a quiet place where you can work regularly. This place should be dedicated to study, free of potential distractions from friends, family and even pets.
Keep the space simple and tidy, get rid of clutter.
Your chair should be firm and comfortable to help avoid back problems and neck strain.
Make sure that your study area is well lit and has an ambient temperature where you can focus. The quality of focus determines the quality of understanding, thus enabling you to apply what you learn.
Regular work in such an environment helps form good, effective study habits, improves concentration and focus. Minimize distractions, as they waste precious time and cause tension.

Why do I make these relaxation videos?
A couple of years ago I uploaded two ‘Arty’ videos to youtube, one of which was filmed in nature. As I am a visual artist and these were ‘Arty’ videos I fully expected people to respond to them in an art related way, but to my surprise the comments I received were more to do with healing.
A woman from New York wrote to me saying she was lying in a hospital bed bandaged from head to toe, as she had crashed her car the previous day. She said she had a laptop on her bed and she was using my video to help herself heal. In that moment this healing channel of soothing nature videos was born, I immediately realised that the countryside surrounding where I live has wonderful healing capacity. I have always been aware of natures healing potential when one can spend time outside in it’s beauty. What I hadn’t realised was that by capturing an essence of the landscape in video and sound that it would retain that healing potential.
I now go out into nature and seek out the kind of location we like to sit by ourselves and absorb nature healing wonders. I film these locations and offer them up on youtube for you and everyone else on the planet to use in a healing way, please don’t keep them to yourself, tell your friends about them, tell anyone who may find them helpful in their lives. Even people you might not expect to be interested, often are. I have been amazed over the time I have been creating these relaxing videos at the diverse groups of people who are finding healing through them.
Together we can help to make this world of ours a little more positive a place. Healing starts with the individual but remember many individuals make a group and many groups make a nation and many nations make the entire worlds population, we are all in this together. In just over 100 years from now not one person alive today will be here, so we really are just caretaking this planet for those who are yet to come, what we leave for them is up to us. Encourage one person to think more positively and you have already started to make a very positive change for this planet of ours.
Encourage those around you to think, look and listen more slowly, if more people listened and looked more slowly the world would not be in the dire straits it finds itself today. People would measure the consequences of their actions before undertaking them, disastrous results have occurred around the globe because of hasty decisions, made purely for selfish reasons and short term gain, not taking into account how others will be affected by what is done.

(AP) — The federal government on Friday said it will cancel 25 oil and gas leases in central Colorado's White River National Forest, reversing what it called faulty environmental reviews on the leases that were issued between 1995 and 2012 ...
