Amaal Malik (born 16 June 1990) is a music composer and playback singer in the Hindi film industry hailing from a musical family. He is the grandson of Sardar Malik; son of Daboo Malik and Jyothi Malik ; brother of singer Armaan Malik and nephew of music composer Anu Malik. Amaal started learning music at the age of 8 and took a liking towards the piano. He debuted in 2014 with Salman Khan's Jai Ho, following it up with the song "Naina" from Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan Starrer Khoobsurat.

Early life and background

Amaal studied in Jamnabai Narsee School and completed his graduation in Bachelor of Commerce from N. M. College in Mumbai. He studied piano and completed his course at Trinity College of Music (Western Classical, Jazz & Rock) under the guidance and training he received from teachers like Benny, Xavier Fernandes, Tony Pinto, Joy Bose.

He is also trained in Indian classical music informally under the tutelage of his grandfather Sri Sardar Malik.

Armaan Malik

Armaan Malik (Devanāgarī: अरमान मलिक ; born 22 July 1995) is an Indian singer, previously represented by Universal Music India, and now signed on by tseries. A finalist on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs Armaan advanced to eighth place with public votes. Armaan is the son of singer and music director Daboo Malik, brother of music director Amaal Mallik and nephew of famous music director Anu Malik.

Career

Armaan malik has sung for over 100-200 commercials and about 16 films such as W, Jai Ho, Bhootnath, Rakta Charitra, Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii, Chillar Party, "Hero" to name a few.

He has also dubbed for My Name Is Khan for the English boy and also lent his voice for the character Salim in the radio version of Slumdog Millionaire for BBC Radio 1. Armaan has also given playback for ‘Tumko Toh Aana Hi Tha’, ‘Love You Till The End (House Mix) and the ‘Title Track’ for the movie Jai Ho. Apart from singing, Armaan and his music composer brother Amal Malik also featured in the beginning of Jai Ho in the song ‘Love You Till The End'.

Subscription business model

The subscription business model is a business model where a customer must pay a subscription price to have access to the product/service. The model was pioneered by magazines and newspapers, but is now used by many businesses and websites.

Industries that use this model include mail order book sales clubs and music sales clubs, cable television, satellite television providers with pay-TV channels, satellite radio, telephone companies, cell phone companies, internet providers, software providers, websites (e.g., blogging websites), business solutions providers, financial services firms, fitness clubs, lawn mowing and snowplowing services and pharmaceuticals, as well as the traditional newspapers, magazines and academic journals.

Arijit Singh

Arijit Singh is an Indian playback singer and a music programmer. Born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, his career began upon participating in the reality show Fame Gurukul (2005), in which he lost at the finals. After winning another reality show called 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil, Singh built a recording setup of his own, beginning his journey with music programming. Subsequently, he went to become as an assistant music programmer to Pritam Chakraborty, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar and Mithoon.

Singh rose to widespread prominence and became a household name with the release of "Tum Hi Ho" from Aashiqui 2 (2013). He was given the Best Male Playback Singer award for the song, in 59th Filmfare Awards. In 2014, he collaborated with Jeet Gannguli—for whom he performed the rest of his tracks in Aashiqui 2 —for CityLights, where he rendered the romantic version of the song "Muskurane", which fetched him most nominations in the year. Gannguli composed Suno Na Sangemarmar and Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy's Sufi song, Mast Magan garnered him another two nominations in 60th Filmfare Awards.

Song

A song is a single (and often standalone) work of music intended to be sung by the human voice with distinct and fixed pitches and patterns using sound and silence and a variety of forms that often include the repetition of sections. Written words created specifically for music or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in classical music it is an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. These songs, which have broad appeal, are often composed by professional songwriters, composers and lyricists. Art songs are composed by trained classical composers for concert performances. Songs are performed live and recorded. Songs may also appear in plays, musical theatre, stage shows of any form, and within operas.
