Morning departure. Used Runway 27 for departure, a rarity for Boston. Listen to those BR715's Roar! Orlando International Airport
Orlando International Airport (IATA: MCO, ICAO: KMCO, FAA LID: MCO) is an international airport six miles southeast of Orlando, Florida, United States. It is the second-busiest airport in the state of Florida the 13th-busiest airport in the United States and the 29th-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic.
The airport serves as a hub for Silver Airways, as well as a focus city for Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, and Southwest Airlines. Southwest Airlines is the airport's largest carrier by passengers carried. The airport also is a major international gateway for the mid Florida region, with flights by foreign air carriers.
The airport code MCO stands for the airport's former name, McCoy Air Force Base, a Strategic Air Command (SAC) installation, that was closed in 1975 as part of a general military drawdown following the end of the Vietnam War.
In terms of commercial airline service, the Greater Orlando area is also served by Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), and more indirectly by Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB), Melbourne International Airport (MLB), and Tampa International Airport (TPA).

My first time traveling with AirTran Airways. I was enthralled by some of the Other Trip reports out there from other people. So I decided to try one on my own! I flew from PVD (Providence's T.F. Green airport) To Tampa Bay. I had flown up to see some relatives and attempted to video that but sadly the camera broke so It stopped as I was boarding at 5:00 AM. After getting another chance, I tried my luck again. The product of Southwest and AirTran are amazing for the prices of their fares. It is very hard in my opinion to compare them to other airlines who charge more but give you more amenities. Final AirTran Flight on VATSIM with ATC (ATL-TPA)
Today marks exactly one month since the last official AirTran Airways flight, which operated as TRS1 from Atlanta (ATL) to Tampa (TPA). This video was recorded on the night of the retirement flight (December 28, 2014) and shows a large turnout of VATSIM pilots simulating the final flight. I flew as AirTran "Citrus" flight 154 (since TRS1 was taken...) Boeing 737-700 service from Atlanta to Tampa along with almost 20 other aircraft! Thanks for watching, enjoy the video. -

This is a full flight movie of an AirTran Airways Boeing 717 flight from Atlanta to Orlando. It seems my last AirTran video is my highest viewed and most commented on video on my page, so I thought I would try another. I hope you enjoy it. I would also like to explain a few errors. As you may have noticed, my aircraft has no call sign or flight number. I don't know why this happened, although my theory is that it was a glitch since I made sure to give it a flight number and call sign before flight. You may have also noticed that I mentioned Auld Lang Syne in the credits for songs. I noticed this right after it finished being published. It took awhile to make it so I didn't feel like re-doing the entire edit just to add the song. So it is not there. I just wanted to get this here as quick as I could since I have been away for awhile. That brings me to my next topic. I would like to apologize for taking a break, I will admit it was partially that I was too lazy to put it all together and edit it, but mostly because I was angry at Google and felt like leaving for awhile. But, nevertheless, I am back. Here is my video. There will be another video on the way before Christmas 2014. Once again, thank you all for watching and sticking with me while I was gone.

Today marks exactly one month since the last official AirTran Airways flight, which operated as TRS1 from Atlanta (ATL) to Tampa (TPA). This video was recorded on the night of the retirement flight (December 28, 2014) and shows a large turnout of VATSIM pilots simulating the final flight. I flew as AirTran "Citrus" flight 154 (since TRS1 was taken...) Boeing 737-700 service from Atlanta to Tampa along with almost 20 other aircraft! Thanks for watching, enjoy the video.

Following two serious crashes Value Jet changed it's name to the airline it had bought becoming the Airtran we know today.

I was going to upload this on 7/17 (Get it) but I had this all ready a little early. So enjoy this next trip report as I finally get to fly on one of Delta's 717's that came from AirTran Airways which is what the title name references to if you know what I mean! And the 717 is my favorite commercial aircraft, which you'll figure out why in this video! Of course I got to fly another MD-80 as well! I flew an MD-88 on the way back home as well so stay tuned to the following trip report! I also includes my hotel room tour at the Latham Hotel in downtown Philadelphia!
