Abū Bakr ‘Abdallāh bin Abī Quḥāfah aṣ-Ṣiddīq (Arabic: أبو بكر عبد الله بن أبي قحافة الصديق; c. 573 CE – 23 August 634 CE) popularly known as Abu Bakr (أبو بكر), was a senior companion (Sahabi) and—through his daughter Aisha—the father-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Abu Bakr became the first openly declared Muslim outside Muhammad's family. Abu Bakr served as a trusted advisor to Muhammad. During Muhammad's lifetime, he was involved in several campaigns and treaties.
He ruled over the Rashidun Caliphate from 632 to 634 CE, when he became the first Muslim Caliph following Muhammad's death. As caliph, Abu Bakr succeeded to the political and administrative functions previously exercised by Muhammad. He was commonly known as The Truthful (Arabic: الصديق, translit. As-Saddīq). Abu Bakr's reign lasted for 27 months, ending with his death after an illness.
Abu Bakr's full name was Abd Allah ibn 'Uthman ibn Aamir ibn Amr ibn Ka'ab ibn Sa'ad ibn Taym (from whom the at-Taymi al-Quraishi) ibn Murrah ibn Ka'ab ibn Lu'ai ibn Ghalib ibn Fihr al-Quraishi.
Uthman ibn Affan (Arabic: عثمان بن عفان, translit. ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Affān; also known in English by the Turkish and Persian rendering Osman; 576 – 17 June 656) was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and the third of the Sunni Rashidun or "Rightly Guided Caliphs". Born into a prominent Meccan clan of the Quraysh tribe, he played a major role in early Islamic history, succeeding Umar ibn al-Khattab as caliph at age 65. He was also the prophet's son-in-law twice, being married to two of the prophet’s daughters Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum (he was married to the second daughter after the first passed away).
Under the leadership of Uthman, the empire expanded into Fars in 650 (present-day Iran), some areas of Khorasan (present-day Afghanistan) in 651 and the conquest of Armenia was begun in the 640s.
Uthman was born in Ta’if. He was born into the wealthy Umayyad (Banu Umayya) clan of the Quraysh tribe of Mecca, seven years after Muhammad. Uthman's father, Affan, died young while travelling abroad but left a large inheritance to Uthman. Uthman followed the same profession as his father, and his business flourished, making him one of the richest men among the Qurayshi tribe. His mother was Awra who was the daughter of Um Hakim bint Abdul Mutalib, who was the twin sister of Abdullah, father of Muhammad, and therefore his first cousin. She also died before AD 610.
He Said was the name used by Wire member Graham Lewis for his solo record releases in the 1980s.
The first He Said album titled Hail was released by Mute Records in October 1986. It was produced by Graham Lewis and John Fyer and recorded at Blackwing Studios in London. Collaborators on the album included fellow Wire member Bruce Gilbert and musician Brian Eno, who played a Yamaha DX7 synthesiser on the track I Fall into Your Arms. Two singles were released from the initial album, including Pump and Only One I. The CD release included the September single release, Pulling 3g's / Pale Feet.
In July 1988 Mute released the single Could You, again produced by Lewis and Fryer. This single was included on the last He Said album titled Take Care which was released by Mute the following year.

Before Umar’s death, a committee known as the ‘Shura’ was established with the purpose of selecting a new Caliph and seeking the approval of the Muslim community, known as the ‘Ummah’. In the next election, the two leading candidates were Uthman and Ali. In the end, Uthman was elected as the Third Caliph. Even though Uthman was, in his own words, “not an innovator”, he certainly was a reformer. Prior to his conversion to Islam, Uthman was a wealthy merchant from an influential family known as th...

Caliph Uthman, Expansion of Islam, Islam in China, Standardization of Quran
The Assembly of the Quran... The Quran was NOT compiled during the lifetime of Mohamed. Mohamed died before he had a chance to oversee and authenticate his own Quran. This is NOT according to my own understanding but according to the Hadiths. This is explained clearly in the Sahih Al-Bukhari (Considered the most trusted of Hadiths by Muslim Scholars): Volume 6, Book 61, Number 509: Narrated Zaid bin Thabit: Abu Bakr As-Siddiq sent for me when the people of Yamama had been killed (i.e., a number of the Prophet's Companions who fought against Musailama). (I went to him) and found 'Umar bin Al-Khattab sitting with him. Abu Bakr then said (to me), "Umar has come to me and said: "Casualties were heavy among the Qurra' of the Quran (i.e. those who knew the Quran by heart) on the day of the Batt...
