"One Day" is a song by Filipina pop and R&B recording artist Charice. The song was co-written and co-produced by American recording artist Nick Jonas. The song was released for digital download on April 19, 2011.

The song was used as a part of Acuvue's "ACUVUE® 1•DAY Contest" which was launched on their Facebook page.

Background

The following day after the release of "Before It Explodes", a follow-up announcement was made by Charice on her Twitter page where she tweeted: "Another new song!! Co - Produced and Co- written by @NickJonas, Dan Muckala and Jason Ingram."

Promotion

To promote the song's release, an online competition was launched by Acuvue Contact Lenses on their Facebook page. The winners of the contest were given a chance to appear in the music video for the song.

Music video

On June 14, 2011, Charice confirmed that she would film a music video for the song through an interview with Hollywood Life. She said that she would be heading to Los Angeles the following day to rehearse the choreography for it. Then on June 17, she tweeted a picture of herself with her manager Marc Johnston where she mentioned that she was on her way to the set of the music video.

Grace Sewell (known simply as Grace and born in 1998) is an Australian singer and songwriter. She is best known for "You Don't Own Me", a cover version of the 1963 Lesley Gore song "You Don't Own Me", produced by Quincy Jones and featuring G-Eazy. The song, a single from her debut album with Regime Music Societe and RCA Records, was a Spotify "top 10 most viral track" and a number-one hit in Australia.

Early life

Grace is from Brisbane, Australia and attended All Hallows' School and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School, Sunnybank. She grew up listening to musical artists such as Smokey Robinson, Janis Joplin, Shirley Bassey, and Amy Winehouse. Grace comes from a family of musicians. Her grandparents toured with the Bee Gees and the Gibb Brothers. Her brother Conrad Sewell is also a singer, best known for featuring on Kygo's song "Firestone" and for his solo hit "Start Again". When "Start Again" hit number one on the ARIA Charts in June 2015, Conrad and Grace became the first Australian born siblings in the history of the charts to hit number one as separate acts.
