Stefan Janoski born July 18, 1979 is an American professional skateboarder of Macedonian descent, artist, writer, and musician, who is well known for his signature Nike SB shoe model the "Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski". Among followers of professional skateboarding, Janoski is known for his "switch-stance" skills and casual style.
Janoski's home town is Vacaville, California, United States (U.S.) and he began skateboarding in 1992. Janoski later explained in a Nike promotional segment that he tried to emulate Mike Carroll following Carroll's Plan B Skateboards video part in Virtual Reality. In an August 2013 interview, Janoski provided a description of the Vacaville skateboard scene:
Janoski was sponsored by the Expedition One skateboard deck company and appeared in the video Alone. Janoski was then recruited to the Habitat skateboard team through original team rider Tim O'Connor, as the two skateboarded together extensively. Janoski is a supporter and participant in the Tampa Pro skateboard contest.
Nike Skateboarding, also known as Nike SB, is the Nike brand for its line of shoes, clothing, and equipment for skateboarding.
In 1997, Nike commenced production of its own line of skate shoes, but was unable to sell to many specialist skate shops, as the market was already strongly in favour of companies such as DC, Globe, eS Footwear, Emerica, and Vans; Nike was not considered a core skateboarding brand among the skateboarding community and, therefore, did not receive the necessary level of support.
In 2002, Nike introduced the "SB" brand. The Nike SB Dunk Low model was released, and consisted of padded tongues and collars and the "Zoom Air" insoles; the shoe was more similar to other skate shoe styles than the corporation's previous attempts. After the SB Dunk's mediocre sales, Nike released four other models: The Nike SB Angus, Nike SB FC, Nike SB Delta Force, and Nike SB URL.
In 2004, Nike SB signed Paul Rodriguez as a figurehead for the brand and recruited Lewis Marnell as the sole Australian team rider during the same period. In March of that year, Nike released the Nike Dunk SB collection, aimed towards skateboarders in California. The associated shoe designs differed from the previous SB Dunk range in that they were designed specifically for skateboarding. The collection included increased padding, Zoom Air insoles, and enhanced material quality, including triple stitching, a standard for skate shoes.

When we hit up our good friend and Santa Cruz Skateboards brand manager, Andrew Cannon to do 100 kickflips for us, he was happy to help us out. Sadly for him, we know how good at flat ground skating he is, so we needed to step the challenge up. We decided to do a super wear test with the Janoski Slip, one of Andrew’s favorite shoes and make Andrew do 100 different tricks in them! Trying to think of 100 was hard enough, let alone actually doing them. Sure enough, Andrew was at the skate park with Kevin at 7am and had banged out 100 tricks by 10am! Check out how the shoes held up to the hundreds of different types of flick it took for Andrew to make all these tricks and then grab a pair at CCS! DISCLAIMER: Due to some technical difficulties we lost one of the 100 tricks along the way and h...

Like most skaters who are super good and stylish, Stefan Janoski is a man of many talents. When he’s not skating, he spends the majority of his time painting, sculpting, or making music in his New York City apartment. But make no mistake, he’s not just another skater artist pretending that his inept doodles are in the same class as Picasso… He’s actually a damn good artist who just so happened to be really damn good at skateboarding too. Turns out everyone was in Copenhagen during the CPH Pro, even Stefan Janoski, the dude with a red hot Nike skate shoe and a house in just about every corner of the US was out there under the all day and night sun. We tossed some Off Beat questions at him. This is that.

Life in the Central Andes isn’t for everybody. For new arrivals in Bolivia, it’s common to feel some discomfort immediately: difficulty breathing, intense headaches, and bouts of nausea. But, give it a few days and most people are able to acclimatize to the elevation of 14,000 feet with very few embarrassing episodes. Official knew about the possibility of altitude sickness before setting foot in Bolivia last year, but taking it easy was out of the question. Stefan Janoski and the Official squad—including Sebo Walker, owner Jason Maggio, and team manager Jeff Landi—had a strict schedule of only four days to skate and research new beanie constructions, with very little wiggle room for minor concerns like their health. This is their journey. Subscribe to The Berrics - http://bit.ly/TheBerri...

Stepped on a sidewalk crack
Feeling risky, risky
God save his mother and her fractured back
He's feeling risky, risky
Cuz everything annoys him when
That special neurotic boy visits him
Especially when
He's feeling risky, risky
Do his friends know
Can he hide it, no?
Does the doctor know
How to cure him so
He can stop the pain
Live his life again
Or accept the fact that he's that
Special Neurotic Boy
Washed his hands forty times today
He's feeling dirty, real dirty
God only knows how he got this way
Surely from his mother's side
Cuz everything annoys him when
