Joseph "Joe" Raphael Hunt (February 17, 1919 – February 2, 1945) was an American tennis player of the late 1930s and early 1940s from Southern California. He was the number one ranked American in 1943 and won the US singles championship in his final match. He died off the coast of Florida in an airplane crash during World War II. To date he is the only man to win the U.S. boys' (15 and under), junior (18 and under), collegiate, and men's singles championship.
Hunt played college tennis at the University of Southern California as a freshman and he went undefeated in singles and doubles play while in college during 1938, including the Ojai Tennis Tournament. Hunt was very athletic and he played football for a while. After enlisting, he attended the United States Naval Academy and joined the Navy football team as a running back during the 1940 season. He was given the game ball for the 1940 Army-Navy Game. Hunt made the semi-finals at the 1939 and 1940 United States singles championships. During the 1940 quarterfinal against Frank Kovacs he staged a sit-down strike during the match after he complained to the referee about Kovacs' antics and was unhappy with the referee's lack of response. Early in their third set, Kovacs began engaging in prolonged antics with the stadium gallery. When the umpire would not stop Kovacs or quiet the crowd, Hunt sat down on his baseline and did not acknowledge several of Kovacs' serves, allowing them to harmlessly fly by. Kovacs then sat down on his baseline and the two players sat for up to five minutes while the crowd alternately jeered and cheered. When order was finally restored, Hunt went on to win the match in straight sets. Hunt represented the United States in the 1939 International Lawn Tennis Challenge (now Davis Cup) challenge round against Australia. He played the doubles match partnering Jack Kramer which they lost to John Bromwich and Adrian Quist.

The Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) was an investment-and-social club organized by Joseph Henry Gamsky, also known as "Joe Hunt", in southern California in 1983. It was originally simply named "BBC"; the initials of a business named the Bombay Bicycle Club, a restaurant Gamsky had frequented in his earlier years while growing up in Chicago.
The organization was run as a Ponzi scheme, and money contributed by investors was spent on supporting lavish lifestyles for young members of the club. When funds ran short in 1984, Hunt and other club members turned to murder, and at least two people were killed as Hunt tried to raise more money.
The club enticed the sons of wealthy families from the Harvard School for Boys (now Harvard-Westlake School) in the Los Angeles area with get-rich-quick schemes. Because of the reputation of the organization being composed of young, inexperienced boys from moneyed families, jocose slang got around that "BBC" stood for "Billionaire Boys' Club". During his high school years, Gamsky and his brother were high-profile members of the Harvard School debate team. However, Gamsky was thrown out of the USC Summer Debate Institute in 1975 after admitting he fabricated evidence. In 2008 Joe Hunt published a book, "Blue Dharma", which received acclaim from Kirkus Discoveries - "A winning and complex fantasy tale." The story was recounted in the 1987 movie Billionaire Boys Club. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal agreed to hear his appeal on July 1st 2014.
Bassline (or sometimes referred to as bassline house) is a type of music related to UK garage that originated from speed garage, and shares characteristics with fellow subgenres dubstep and grime for their emphasis on bass. The style originated in Sheffield around 2002.
Bassline was a cause of controversy in Sheffield due to a police raid at the former bassline nightclub "Niche", resulting in its closure. Since it was the most popular bassline nightclub in Sheffield prior to its closure, "Niche" is sometimes used as an alternative name for the musical genre. Like grime, bassline was associated with violence, anti-social behaviour and criminal activity during the time of its rise to popularity.
Early bassline shares more similarities with its predecessor speed garage than the style that began to emerge in the latter half of the decade, with many people still referring to bassline house releases from the early 2000s as speed garage. This early style grew from the sound that was pushed in nightclubs in the North and the Midlands during the late 90s that played speed garage mixed with melodic vocal house. Most early bassline house tracks simply expanded on this as many tracks feature either 'warp' or 'reese' speed garage basslines, or the Korg M1 style organ lead. This led to many releases having a 'warper' mix along with an 'organ' mix of the same track. Like most electronic music, sampling played a big part, as lots of the same sampled basslines can be heard in old speed garage and bassline house releases.
Speed garage (occasionally known as Plus-8) is a genre of electronic dance music, associated with the UK garage scene.
Speed garage features sped-up NY garage 4-to-the-floor rhythms that are combined with breakbeats.Snares are placed as over the 2nd and the 4th kickdrums, so in other places of the drum pattern. Speed garage tunes have warped, heavy basslines, influenced by jungle and reggae. Sweeping bass is typical for speed garage. It is also typical for speed garage tunes to have a breakdown. Speed garage tunes sometimes featured timestretched vocals. As being heavily influenced by jungle, speed garage is full of jungle and dub sound effects, such as gunshots and sirens.
A widely regarded pioneer of the speed garage sound is record producer, DJ and remixer Armand Van Helden, whose Dark Garage remix of the Sneaker Pimps' "Spin Spin Sugar" in 1996 is viewed by many to have brought the style of speed garage into the mainstream arena.

Hey, like a fallen angel I was on your side
You lighted the fire deep in my soul
Do you remember the stars shining bright?
I should retire under your control
In seven nights and days
Oh, you didn't think your thing would come crashing down
In seven lonely dreams
Oh, I know that you're not the one I'm waiting for
Seven nights, seven days
Seven nights, I carried the can
'Cause I let you go, all our bridges were burned
Oh boy, it's on the cards, I don't wanna return
Seven nights, seven days
Seven nights, you blew your chance
Love was not forever in your heart
Due to that we have to live apart
Nothing's forever, no use to try
There's no solution, don't make me blue
We tried together, I kiss you goodbye
This endless confusion should not come true
In seven nights and days
Oh, you didn't think your thing would come crashing down
In seven lonely dreams
Oh, I know that you're not the one that I'm waiting for
Seven nights, seven days
Seven nights, I carried the can
'Cause I let you go, all our bridges were burned
Oh boy, it's on the cards, I don't wanna return
