The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a 2014 action-adventure video game that will coincide with the release of the film of the same name featuring the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man. It is being developed by Beenox, developer of the previous games Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and The Amazing Spider-Man, and published by Activision.
The game takes place alongside the events of the film, as Spider-Man searches for Uncle Ben's killer. The game will feature an all-star villain cast from Spider-Man's universe, and will feature both new and old characters. The game will feature prominent villains such as Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Kingpin, Black Cat, Green Goblin, Chameleon, Carnage, and Shocker.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (also released as The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro in some markets and stylized as: TASM2) is a 2014 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, directed by Marc Webb and released by Columbia Pictures. It is the fifth theatrical Spider-Man film produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment, and is a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). The studio hired James Vanderbilt to write the screenplay and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to rewrite it. The film stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz as Peter's parents, and Sally Field as Aunt May with the addition of new cast including Paul Giamatti as Rhino / Aleksei Sytsevich and Jamie Foxx as Electro / Max Dillon.
Development of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 began after the success of The Amazing Spider-Man. DeHaan, Giamatti, Jones, and Cooper were cast between December 2012 and February 2013. Filming took place in New York City from February to June 2013. The film was released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 2, 2014, in the United States with two international premieres being held between March 31 & April 10, 2014. The film received mixed reviews, and although it grossed $709 million worldwide and became the eighth-highest-grossing film of 2014, it was the lowest-grossing film in the series. However, the film was declared a "hit" in the overseas markets with the highest openings and a wide cinematic release. The film subsequently won awards for its music composition and acting, notably one Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award and two ASCAP Awards.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2 is a 2004 American superhero film directed by Sam Raimi and written by Alvin Sargent from a story by Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Michael Chabon. The sequel to the 2002 film Spider-Man, it is the second film in Raimi's Spider-Man film trilogy based on the fictional Marvel Comics character of the same name. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco reprise their respective roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Mary Jane Watson, and Harry Osborn.
Set two years after the events of Spider-Man, the film focuses on Peter Parker struggling to manage both his personal life and his duties as Spider-Man, while Dr. Otto Octavius (Doctor Octopus) becomes diabolical following a failed experiment and his wife's death. He uses his mechanical tentacles to threaten and endanger the lives of New York City's residents. Spider-Man must stop him from annihilating the city.
Spider-Man 2 was released in both conventional and IMAX theaters on June 30, 2004. It grossed $783.8 million worldwide and won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. It also received five awards at the Saturn Awards ceremony including Best Fantasy Film and Best Director for Raimi. The film's success led to the release of Spider-Man 3 in 2007.

The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man (abbreviated as ASM) is an American comic book series published by Marvel Comics, featuring the adventures of the fictional superhero Spider-Man. Being the mainstream continuity of the franchise, it began publication in 1963 as a monthly periodical and was published continuously, with a brief interruption in 1995, until its relaunch with a new numbering order in 1999. In 2003 the series reverted to the numbering order of the first volume. The title has occasionally been published biweekly, and was published three times a month from 2008 to 2010. A film named after the comic was released July 3, 2012.
After DC Comics' relaunch of Action Comics and Detective Comics with new #1 issues in 2011, it had been the highest-numbered American comic still in circulation until it was cancelled. The title ended its 50-year run as a continuously published comic with issue #700 in December 2012. It was replaced by The Superior Spider-Man as part of the Marvel NOW! relaunch of Marvel's comic lines.
The title was relaunched in April 2014, starting fresh from issue #1, after the "Goblin Nation" story arc published in The Superior Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man Team-Up.
In late 2015, The Amazing Spider-Man would be relaunched again with a new volume with issue #1 following the 2015 Secret Wars event.

While "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" video game was horrible, the first one is actually pretty good. It's fun swinginig through New York; combat is fluid and dynamic. There's not much to do in the city, other than generic side missions, and that's where the game suffers the most. But there are some epic scale boss battles, and the writing is excellent for the game. They capture Peter Parker's humor, and have some funny dialogue between the guards that Spidey routinely beats up. Story-wise, it takes place after the events of the first Amazing Spider-Man movie, and directly continuous the plot of the movie. Although not everything is canon because of what happens in the second movie, it's still a nice addition to the Amazing Spider-Man universe.
Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy sneak into the restricted areas of Oscorp after hours, where Gwen reveals her suspicions that they may be continuing the cross-species experiments of Dr. Curt Connors, who had become the monstrous Lizard. They are caught by Alistair Smythe, the new Oscorp director, who confirms Gwen's suspicions, although the cross-species carry a powerful virus and are to be disposed. However, the cross-species all react to the presence of Peter, a cross-species himself, and break out, infecting all of the scientists, including Smythe and Gwen, in the process. Smythe unleashes his security robots, which are programmed to defend them from cross-species. Peter quickly dons his Spider-Man suit and gets the infected to quarantine, fighting off the robots in the process, but is unable to stop the cross-species and the virus from escaping into the city.
Hard to believe we never did this game before, but it came out right before we started putting together game movies. As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!
