Carmela Tiangco-Cornejo, popularly known as Mel Tiangco (born August 10, 1955) is a popular television newscaster and television host in the Philippines.
After graduating from De La Salle University, she became one of the leading presenters in Philippine television journal programmes. She currently co-anchors GMA Network's evening newscast, 24 Oras with Mike Enriquez. She was also the host of the weekly drama anthology Magpakailanman and a co-host for Mel and Joey with comedian-TV host-writer Joey de Leon.
She is the mother of Wency Cornejo, a musician best known as the lead vocalist of the now-defunct Philippine rock band After Image (active in the 90s). She is also involved in philanthropic work as the Executive Vice President of the GMA Kapuso Foundation, the network's socio-civic arm.
Rodrigo "Rody" Roa Duterte (born March 28, 1945), nicknamed Digong, is a Filipino lawyer and politician of Visayan descent. Duterte is among the longest-serving mayors in the Philippines. He has been mayor of Davao City, a highly urbanized city on Mindanao island, for 7 terms, totalling more than 22 years. He has also served as vice-mayor and congressman in the city.
On November 21, 2015, Duterte declared his candidacy for President of the Philippines in the upcoming 2016 election after a period of banter.

Duterte's father Vicente, prior to being provincial governor of Davao, was once a mayor of Danao in Cebu. Rodrigo's cousin Ronald, on the other hand, served as Cebu City mayor from 1983 to 1986. Ronald’s father, Ramon Duterte, also held the position from 1957 to 1959. The Dutertes consider the political families of the Durano and the Almendras clan as relatives.

He is the founder of one of the religious communities in the Philippines, the Light of Jesus (LOJ). The community, as of 2016, has 35,000 members in the Philippines and the rest of the world Through this, he founded two gatherings, the annual inspirational convention Kerygma Conference (which was founded on 2006) and the weekly fellowship and worship called the "The Feast" in 200 areas in the country and other part of the world.
