After being married for 6 years we had to return to the UK to see my Mum who was critically ill. You would think this would be easy, Married, two kids both British Citizens, Think again! The British Government don't like 3rd World citizens, they are only marrying to better their lives in their opinion and the marriage is a "FAKE" a "SHAM". It's been 9 years since all this took place and I have just rediscovered the video. This is a very personal video which I hope you will enjoy, share, and learn from,,,, especially if you're from the UK
After Chona's first and second application for a visa was refused I had no idea on where to turn. I decided to approach the newspapers who took the story up, the day after I was in the paper a TV channel then wanted to do a piece. They came to my house to do the first interview and when Chona, thanks to the TV got her Visa they came to the airport. It was an exhausting time with a happy ending and I suppose the moral of the story is Don't Give Up on someone you love.

Coordinates: 53°48′00″N 0°04′53″W / 53.799898°N 0.081323°W / 53.799898; -0.081323
Garton (or Garton in Holderness) is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, in an area known as Holderness. It is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-west of Withernsea town centre. It lies on the B1242 road.
It forms part of the civil parish of East Garton.
The church dedicated to St Michael was designated a Grade I listed building in 1966 and is now recorded in the National Heritage List for England, maintained by Historic England.
Blue Hall farm to the west of the village was designated in 1966 as a Grade II* listed building.
In 1823 inhabitants in the village numbered 160. Occupations included ten farmers, a bricklayer, a carpenter and a blacksmith. Two carriers operated between the village and Hull on Tuesdays.

At Christmas
At Christmas is the eighth studio album and first full-length Christmas album by American country music artist Sara Evans. It was released on November 17, 2014 via RCA Nashville. The physical copy of the album was released exclusively through Walmart stores.
Content
The album features a selection of well-known classic Christmas songs and one original song, the title track, written by Shane Stevens and Toby Lightman. "The Twelve Days of Christmas" features vocals from two of Evans' daughters, Olivia and Audrey. The final three tracks were recorded and released previously on various artist albums: "O Come All Ye Faithful" was featured on Country Christmas 1999, "Go Tell It on the Mountain" on Country Christmas 2001 and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" on Hear Something Country: Christmas 2007. The tracks were first compiled together for a digital EP release in 2009.

Love Came Down at Christmas
"Love Came Down at Christmas" is a Christmas poem by Christina Rossetti. It was first published without a title in Time Flies: A Reading Diary in 1885. It was later included in the collection Verses in 1893 under the title "Christmastide".
The poem has been set to music as a Christmas carol by many composers including Harold Darke, Leo Sowerby, John Kelsall and John Rutter and is also sung to the traditional Irish melody "Garton". More recently, the poem was given a modern treatment by Christian band Jars of Clay on their 2007 album, Christmas Songs. American composer Jennifer Higdon set the text for solo soprano, harp and four-part chorus. A new setting by the British composer David J Loxley-Blount was performed in Southwark Cathedral on 8 December 2014 by the Financial Times Choir conducted by Paul Ayres. It was repeated by the Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree on 11 December 2014.
Studwell describes the poem as "simple, direct and sincere" and notes that it is a rare example of a carol which has overcome the disadvantage of "not having a tune (or two or three) which has caught the imagination of holiday audiences."

Love

Over 200 Lutherans gathered October 21-22 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, from across the United States, Canada, and Latvia, for the 2016 Lutherans For Life National Conference. The theme: Here We Stand. http://www.lutheransforlife.org/conference/ Dr. Jean Garton is an author and lecturer on issues related to education, the family, life concerns, and the Christian life. She has taught classes to students from kindergarten through the college level. Dr. Garton was a co-founder of Lutherans For Life and served as its national president for 17 years. For five years her commentaries called “Speaking of Life” were heard daily on radio stations throughout the U.S. She has been a frequent and popular guest of “Focus on the Family” with Dr. James Dobson and chaired the Declaration Committee for the World Congress of Families when it was held in Prague, Geneva, and Mexico City. -

After being married for 6 years we had to return to the UK to see my Mum who was critically ill. You would think this would be easy, Married, two kids both British Citizens, Think again! The British Government don't like 3rd World citizens, they are only marrying to better their lives in their opinion and the marriage is a "FAKE" a "SHAM". It's been 9 years since all this took place and I have just rediscovered the video. This is a very personal video which I hope you will enjoy, share, and learn from,,,, especially if you're from the UK
After Chona's first and second application for a visa was refused I had no idea on where to turn. I decided to approach the newspapers who took the story up, the day after I was in the paper a TV channel then wanted to do a piece. They came to my house to do the first interview and when Chona, thanks to the TV got her Visa they came to the airport. It was an exhausting time with a happy ending and I suppose the moral of the story is Don't Give Up on someone you love.

Ghost stations is the usual English translation for the German word Geisterbahnhöfe. This term was used to describe certain stations on Berlin's U-Bahn and S-Bahn metro networks that were closed during the period of Berlin's division during the Cold War. Since then, the term has come to be used to describe any disused station on an underground railway line, especially those actively passed through by passenger trains.
An abandoned (or disused) railway station is a building or structure which was constructed to serve as a railway station but has fallen into disuse. There are various circumstances when this may occur - a railway company may fall bankrupt, or the station may be closed due to the failure of economic activitiy such as insufficient passenger numbers, operational reasons such as the diversion or replacement of the line. In some instances, the railway line may continue in operation while the station is closed. Additionally, stations may sometimes be resited along the route of the line to new premises - examples of this include opening a replacement station nearer to the centre of population, or building a larger station on a less restricted site to cope with high passenger numbers.
Notable cases where railway stations have fallen into disuse include the Beeching Axe, a 1960s programme of mass closures of unprofitable railway lines by the British Government. The London Underground system is also noted for its list of closed stations. During the time of the Berlin Wall, a number of Berlin U-Bahn stations on West Berlin lines became "ghost stations" (Geisterbahnhöfe) because they were on lines which passed through East Berlin territory.
Railway stations and lines which fall into disuse may become overgrown. Some former railway lines are repurposed as managed nature reserves, trails or other tourist attractions - for example Hellfire Pass, the route of the former "Death Railway" in Thailand. Many former railways are converted into long-distance cycleways, such as large sections of the National Cycle Network in the United Kingdom. In rural areas, former railway station buildings are often converted into private residences. Examples include many of the stations on the closed Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway in England.

Ghost stations is the usual English translation for the German word Geisterbahnhöfe. This term was used to describe certain stations on Berlin's U-Bahn and S-Bahn metro networks that were closed during the period of Berlin's division during the Cold War. Since then, the term has come to be used to describe any disused station on an underground railway line, especially those actively passed through by passenger trains.
An abandoned (or disused) railway station is a building or structure which was constructed to serve as a railway station but has fallen into disuse. There are various circumstances when this may occur - a railway company may fall bankrupt, or the station may be closed due to the failure of economic activitiy such as insufficient passenger numbers, operational reasons such as the diversion or replacement of the line. In some instances, the railway line may continue in operation while the station is closed. Additionally, stations may sometimes be resited along the route of the line to new premises - examples of this include opening a replacement station nearer to the centre of population, or building a larger station on a less restricted site to cope with high passenger numbers.
Notable cases where railway stations have fallen into disuse include the Beeching Axe, a 1960s programme of mass closures of unprofitable railway lines by the British Government. The London Underground system is also noted for its list of closed stations. During the time of the Berlin Wall, a number of Berlin U-Bahn stations on West Berlin lines became "ghost stations" (Geisterbahnhöfe) because they were on lines which passed through East Berlin territory.
Railway stations and lines which fall into disuse may become overgrown. Some former railway lines are repurposed as managed nature reserves, trails or other tourist attractions - for example Hellfire Pass, the route of the former "Death Railway" in Thailand. Many former railways are converted into long-distance cycleways, such as large sections of the National Cycle Network in the United Kingdom. In rural areas, former railway station buildings are often converted into private residences. Examples include many of the stations on the closed Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway in England.

The National Ice Centre, Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre, and Trent Bridge international cricket ground are all based in or around the city, which is also the home of professional football, rugby, ice hockey and cricket teams, and the Aegon Nottingham Open, an international tennis tournament on the ATP and WTA tours. This accolade came just over a year after Nottingham was named as the UK's first City of Football.
On 11 December 2015, Nottingham was named a Unesco City of Literature, joining Norwich, Melbourne, Prague and Barcelona as one of only a handful in the world. The title reflects Nottingham's literary heritage, with Lord Byron, DH Lawrence and Alan Sillitoe having links to the city.

Students discovered a great amount of exciting finds at this Iron Age site including a miniature axe, a bone needle, pottery and – perhaps most exciting – an Arras burial.
Hull and its surroundings is a region of superb archaeological wealth. There are few better regions in Britain to study archaeology. The countryside of Eastern Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire contains a wealth of archaeological remains, and its historic centres, such as Hull and Beverley, provide well preserved evidence for the development of medieval townscapes.
For many students, fieldwork is one of the highlights of their degree, and at Hull we regard field teaching as a vital part of our courses.
