They say cats have nine lives, but one lucky dog may have a few of its own.

Two hikers rescued a dog named Stanley from a fast-moving creek above Camp Dick in Boulder County on Monday after it was swept away from its owner and pinned beneath a log.

According to a Facebook post by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Stanley, who appears to be a black Labrador, was walking with its owner on Buchanan Pass Trail on Monday afternoon when it went into the water to cool down and was carried off downstream.

The owner searched for about an hour and could not find the dog, prompting him to call the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
