This is a video that you won't see often: ride along with Chicago's Aerial Tower 1 to a confirmed high rise fire (still and box high rise) in north downtown. At 1:52 you can see the screen with all the units responding to the initial dispatch: 6 engines, 3 trucks, 3 battalions and 4 special units. Engine 1, Aerial tower 1 and ambulance 41 respond out of the fire house in the South Loop and make their long way to the north. While en route you can hear the dispatch assigning the different functions to the responding units. Because of many calls coming in, at 6:30 an EMS Plan 1 has been announced, this means a response of additional units: 1 Engine, 1 Truck, 5 ALS Ambulances, 2 BLS Ambulances, 1 Battalion Chief, 1 EMS Field Officer, 1 EMS Assistant Deputy Chief Paramedic. After reaching the scene you will have an overview of what was going on in the street. Since the fire was in one of the upper floors (5 floors from top) I could not see anything from the ground. Note all the tourists looking at the trucks, this must have been a great attraction. Aerial Tower is the only unit of that kind in the city. All the other aerial units are regular trucks or platforms //

The Stockton Fire Department responded to approximately 40,000 emergencies in 2015, more that 300 of which were working structure fires. Considering that the Stockton Fire Department only consists of 12 firehouses for the 309,000 residents protected- this frequency of responses PER CAPITA makes them one of the busiest fire departments in the nation.
This video is was edited for, and presented at, the Stockton Firefighters Local 456 Annual Installation Dinner & Crab Feed on Friday February 26th, 2016. For more than 160 years, Stockton Firefighters have held an annual banquet recognizing the tradition, duty, honor, and pride of their profession. We would like to thank those who assisted in making 2016 Installation Dinner possible.
No training burns or video was used in the editing of this Year In Review. All video was captured on working emergency incidents.

I caught up with Mr. Anthony Pecoraro, a firefighter for the Chicago Fire Department, to take an in-depth look at the historic Engine 18. Engine 18 is not only home to dedicated firefighters, but it is also the original filming location of NBC's hit-show. "Chicago Fire." This is hands-down the biggest story I have ever gotten. It was such a pleasure to be granted special access to Engine 18. The firefighters were so friendly. During the process of creating this video, I learned so many new, interesting things about the intense life of a firefighter, and about broadcasting. I felt that I was able to better myself as a reporter due to this package. Truly my favorite one.

This is a house fire that we had on May 9th, 2015. The fire was confined to one bedroom with some minor extension into the attic. The house is balloon frame construction which is very typical in Newark.
I missed an good opportunity to order a transitional attack when the first engine arrived. A ten second blast through the front window might have been the key to a quicker knock-down.
The first arriving engine is a mutual-aid company. This is happening more and more in Newark as our on-duty staffing diminishes due to budget issues. The mutual-aid unit done a great job as always, but that isn't by chance. We work well with our surrounding mutual-aid departments and include them in on our training when possible.

Grants Pass Rural Fire Department has a problem with me posting this video because it makes them look bad. They have called the cops on me 3 times now for telephonic harassment, charges that will never be proven because I know I didn't call so I am in no way worried. It is without a doubt that they will frighten me in any way possible so that I will take this video off youtube. Two Grants Pass Police Officers have told me that posting this "DISPARAGING" video on youtube is not illegal.

Part of Grants Pass Rural's problem with me based on the police report is that I have "been posting photos of (GPRFD) fire vehicles on line." Well, if you check out my youtube channel you will see that I have posted several fire departments on line (Grants Pass City, Rural/Metro, illinois Valley, Crescent City, Jacksonville, Medford, Glendale, Canyonville, Roseburg, Coos Bay, Albany, Portland...) and yet no other fire department has ever complained and in all honesty I have had more compliments then anything else (THANKS COOS BAY FIRE!!!). I have also been told that I can not trespass on GPRFD property yet as far as I know i have never trespassed on any fire department property....that is unless you want to count the FDNY fire station for Engine 10 / Ladder 10 or maybe the LAFD Hollywood station (amazing stations and crews btw!).
***IF GPRFD did a perfect job on this fire then I promise you I still would have posted them on youtube. I do have dozens of "good" videos of other fire departments so it's not like I only film the dumb and stupid and idiotic.*** It is not my fault in any way that they, Grants Pass Rural Fire, make themselves look DISPARAGING. And on a side of caution I am not calling GPRFD dumb or stupid or idiotic, I am just simply saying that I would film the good, bad, stupid and evil.
I would like to mention that this was my friends house just up the road that caught on fire and I originally went over checking if I could help out in any way possible, I WAS IN NO WAY THINKING "HOW COULD I MAKE GPRFD LOOK BAD?!?!" Now I did wait on the main road for several minutes so that I could point out the correct rural driveway for a rural/metro fire engine (7505??) but other then that I could do nothing else. It was only after I knew I could do nothing more that I started filming. This video was the second time I had filmed a working structure fire (first was the FDNY in Lower Manhattan!) and if you check my youtube you will see that I have recorded many more from that point on.
ONE MORE NOTE AND THIS IS FOR THE EYES OF GPRFD's LINDA MILLER: I post more then just fire department videos. Grants Pass Rural Fire and Grants Pass CITY Fire do not have anything in common. Also Rural/Metro Fire has nothing in common with Rural Fire. Both Grants Pass City and Rural/Metro are top of the line departments and some of the best crews in Southern Oregon.

This is a video that you won't see often: ride along with Chicago's Aerial Tower 1 to a confirmed high rise fire (still and box high rise) in north downtown. At 1:52 you can see the screen with all the units responding to the initial dispatch: 6 engines, 3 trucks, 3 battalions and 4 special units. Engine 1, Aerial tower 1 and ambulance 41 respond out of the fire house in the South Loop and make their long way to the north. While en route you can hear the dispatch assigning the different functions to the responding units. 2015 Stockton Fire Department Year In Review
The Stockton Fire Department responded to approximately 40,000 emergencies in 2015, more that 300 of which were working structure fires. Considering that the Stockton Fire Department only consists of 12 firehouses for the 309,000 residents protected- this frequency of responses PER CAPITA makes them one of the busiest fire departments in the nation. This video is was edited for, and presented at, the Stockton Firefighters Local 456 Annual Installation Dinner & Crab Feed on Friday February 26th, 2016. For more than 160 years, Stockton Firefighters have held an annual banquet recognizing the tradition, duty, honor, and pride of their profession. I caught up with Mr. Anthony Pecoraro, a firefighter for the Chicago Fire Department, to take an in-depth look at the historic Engine 18. Engine 18 is not only home to dedicated firefighters, but it is also the original filming location of NBC's hit-show. "Chicago Fire." This is hands-down the biggest story I have ever gotten. It was such a pleasure to be granted special access to Engine 18. The firefighters were so friendly. During the process of creating this video, I learned so many new, interesting things about the intense life of a firefighter, and about broadcasting. I felt that I was able to better myself as a reporter due to this package. Truly my favorite one. -
Newark Ohio Fire Department 252 Woods Ave Working House Fire Incident Command
This is a house fire that we had on May 9th, 2015. The fire was confined to one bedroom with some minor extension into the attic. The house is balloon frame construction which is very typical in Newark. I missed an good opportunity to order a transitional attack when the first engine arrived. A ten second blast through the front window might have been the key to a quicker knock-down. The first arriving engine is a mutual-aid company. This is happening more and more in Newark as our on-duty staffing diminishes due to budget issues. The mutual-aid unit done a great job as always, but that isn't by chance. This is a house fire that we had on May 9th, 2015. The fire was confined to one bedroom with some minor extension into the attic. The house is balloon frame construction which is very typical in Newark.
I missed an good opportunity to order a transitional attack when the first engine arrived. A ten second blast through the front window might have been the key to a quicker knock-down.
The first arriving engine is a mutual-aid company. This is happening more and more in Newark as our on-duty staffing diminishes due to budget issues. The mutual-aid unit done a great job as always, but that isn't by chance. We work well with our surrounding mutual-aid departments and include them in on our training when possible.

Grants Pass Rural Fire Department has a problem with me posting this video because it makes them look bad. They have called the cops on me 3 times now for telephonic harassment, charges that will never be proven because I know I didn't call so I am in no way worried. It is without a doubt that they will frighten me in any way possible so that I will take this video off youtube. Two Grants Pass Police Officers have told me that posting this "DISPARAGING" video on youtube is not illegal.

Part of Grants Pass Rural's problem with me based on the police report is that I have "been posting photos of (GPRFD) fire vehicles on line." Well, if you check out my youtube channel you will see that I have posted several fire departments on line (Grants Pass City, Rural/Metro, illinois Valley, Crescent City, Jacksonville, Medford, Glendale, Canyonville, Roseburg, Coos Bay, Albany, Portland...) and yet no other fire department has ever complained and in all honesty I have had more compliments then anything else (THANKS COOS BAY FIRE!!!). I have also been told that I can not trespass on GPRFD property yet as far as I know i have never trespassed on any fire department property....that is unless you want to count the FDNY fire station for Engine 10 / Ladder 10 or maybe the LAFD Hollywood station (amazing stations and crews btw!).
***IF GPRFD did a perfect job on this fire then I promise you I still would have posted them on youtube. I do have dozens of "good" videos of other fire departments so it's not like I only film the dumb and stupid and idiotic.*** It is not my fault in any way that they, Grants Pass Rural Fire, make themselves look DISPARAGING. And on a side of caution I am not calling GPRFD dumb or stupid or idiotic, I am just simply saying that I would film the good, bad, stupid and evil.
I would like to mention that this was my friends house just up the road that caught on fire and I originally went over checking if I could help out in any way possible, I WAS IN NO WAY THINKING "HOW COULD I MAKE GPRFD LOOK BAD?!?!" Now I did wait on the main road for several minutes so that I could point out the correct rural driveway for a rural/metro fire engine (7505??) but other then that I could do nothing else. It was only after I knew I could do nothing more that I started filming. This video was the second time I had filmed a working structure fire (first was the FDNY in Lower Manhattan!) and if you check my youtube you will see that I have recorded many more from that point on.

Fire officials say arson is to blame for a fire this week at a Brooklyn Park apartment complex. Five people were hurt, one critically, at the Huntington Place Apartments after a fire broke out on the third floor early Tuesday morning. Many residents thought the fire was a false alarm. Five people were hurt, one critically, at the Huntington Place Apartments after a fire broke out on the third floor early Tuesday morning. Many residents thought the fire was a false alarm. The fire department was first called to the apartments at 12:30 a.m., which turned out to be a false alarm. They were then called back 30 minutes later for a real fire. Officials are now trying to catch the person or persons responsible.
"We have definitely determined it was intentionally set, using an ignitable liquid," said Brooklyn Park Fire Chief Ken Prillaman. "The fire began in the hallway, outside of apartment number 226 and extended into that apartment forcing that resident to jump from the third floor window."
Prillaman says the apartment complex is an older building and did not have sprinkler system.
Anyone with information can call the Arson Hotline and remain anonymous. That number is 1–800–723–2020. If your tip leads to an arrest you could be financially compensated.
