The 1953 Iranian coup d'état, known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup, was the overthrow of the Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in favour of strengthening the monarchical rule of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi on 19 August 1953, orchestrated by the United Kingdom (under the name "Operation Boot") and the United States (under the name TPAJAX Project).
Mossadegh had sought to audit the books of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC), a British corporation (now BP) and to change the terms of the company's access to Iranian petroleum reserves. Upon the refusal of the AIOC to co-operate with the Iranian government, the parliament (Majlis) voted to nationalize the assets of the company and expel their representatives from the country. Following the coup in 1953, a government under General Fazlollah Zahedi was formed which allowed Mohammad-Rezā Shāh Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran (Persian for king), to rule the country more firmly as monarch. He relied heavily on US and UK support to hold on to power until his own overthrow in February 1979. In August 2013, 60 years after the coup, the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) admitted that it was involved in both its planning and its execution, including the bribing of Iranian politicians, security and army high-ranking officials, as well as pro-coup propaganda. The CIA is quoted acknowledging the coup was carried out "under CIA direction" and "as an act of U.S. foreign policy, conceived and approved at the highest levels of government."
Boot camp may refer to:
Operation Boot Camp (OBC) is a fitness boot camp founded in 2000 in Atlanta, GA, United States. It is based on a physical fitness and health concept that was first conceived at Atlanta Kick, a martial arts academy in Atlanta. In 2008, Operation Boot Camp became the largest boot camp programs of its kind in the United States. The OBC fitness program is currently offered in Alabama, California, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The organization teaches participants how to achieve a healthy lifestyle through a structured fitness program, personal motivation and a food plan. The thirty-day program demands personal accountability and although it eliminates the most unpleasant aspects of recruit training and military boot camp, it is nonetheless a rigorous undertaking Like its military namesake Operation Boot Camp seeks to build confidence, strength and physical stamina. Participants are challenged to push the boundaries of their endurance in order to reach their fitness and health goals. The program is simple and intense and strives to teach and build new habits and to provide its boot camp participants with some fun along the way. Operation Boot Camp recruits come from all over the world to be poked, pushed and challenged. The staff monitors attendance and progress and provides constant feedback. On days when the OBC members do not meet or workout with the staff they are given a list of numerous options for activities, classes and ideas to keep them active and engaged.

A boot is a type of footwear and a specific type of shoe. Most boots mainly cover the foot and the ankle, while some also cover some part of the lower calf. Some boots extend up the leg, sometimes as far as the knee or even the hip. Most boots have a heel that is clearly distinguishable from the rest of the sole, even if the two are made of one piece. Traditionally made of leather or rubber, modern boots are made from a variety of materials. Boots are worn both for their functionality – protecting the foot and leg from water, extreme cold, mud or hazards (e.g., chemicals) or providing additional ankle support for strenuous activities with added traction requirements (e.g., hiking) – and for reasons of style and fashion.
In some cases, the wearing of boots may be required by laws or regulations, such as the regulations in some jurisdictions requiring workers on construction sites to wear steel-toed safety boots. Some uniforms include boots as the regulated footwear. Boots are recommended as well for motorcycle riders. High-top athletic shoes are generally not considered boots, even though they do cover the ankle, primarily due to the absence of a distinct heel. In Britain, the term may be used to refer to football (soccer) cleats.

4. Assembly line workers build up rubber boots layer-by-layer, entirely by hand -- rubber boots are not made from molds, unlike the cheaper injection molded plastic boots. The form that the boot is built around is called a "last". Shoe lasts are usually made of low-cost polyurethane, but vulcanized rubber boots are placed in very hot autoclaves (vulcanizers), so a special aluminum alloy is necessary for rubber boot lasts. Hand rolling is necessary to firmly bond successive layers of rubber and rubberized fabric together, since the contour of the last makes it difficult to mechanically press the layers together.

In this episode Shahriar repairs an Agilent EPM-441A (E4418A) Power Meter. The unit does not boot and displays "Loading firmware...". After monitoring internal digital signals, the problem is traced to a faulty SRAM IC. After replacement, the unit completes the boot-up process. Additionally, the principle operation of power sensors is reviewed including both thermocouple based, as well as diode rectifier based. The block diagram of a USB-based power sensor is examined along with a full teardown of a non-functional power sensor. The detector diode circuitry is examine under a microscope. Finally, the repaired unit is verified for calibration. The Signal Path http://www.TheSignalPath.com
