The Kapsiki villages hanging off the side of volcanic peaks, our itinerary of contrast and adventure continues towards the wildlife reserves of Waza then on to N’Djaména and the Chari River. Finally we arrive at the banks of Lake Chad with its fishermen and its polders in the middle of the desert. And to finish, the oasis which borders the small town of Mao, in the province of Kanem.

Chari River
The Chari River, or Shari River, is a 949 kilometres (590 mi) long stream, flowing in Central Africa.
Geography
The Chari River flows from the Central African Republic through Chad into Lake Chad, following the Cameroon border from N'Djamena, where it is joined by its western and principal tributary, the Logone River.
It provides 90 percent of the water flowing into Lake Chad. The watershed of the river covers 548,747 square kilometres (211,872 sq mi). The principal tributary is the Logone River, while minor tributaries include the Bahr Salamat, the Bahr Sarh (Ouham River), the Bahr Aouk and the Bahr Kéita.
Much of Chad's population, including Sarh and the capital N'Djamena, is concentrated around it.
The river supports an important local fishing industry. One of the most highly prized local fishes is the Nile Perch.

River
A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some cases a river flows into the ground and becomes dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water. Small rivers can be referred to using names such as stream, creek, brook, rivulet, and rill. There are no official definitions for the generic term river as applied to geographic features, although in some countries or communities a stream is defined by its size. Many names for small rivers are specific to geographic location; examples are "run" in some parts of the United States, "burn" in Scotland and northeast England, and "beck" in northern England. Sometimes a river is defined as being larger than a creek, but not always: the language is vague.
Rivers are part of the hydrological cycle. Water generally collects in a river from precipitation through a drainage basin from surface runoff and other sources such as groundwater recharge, springs, and the release of stored water in natural ice and snowpacks (e.g. from glaciers). Potamology is the scientific study of rivers while limnology is the study of inland waters in general.

The Kapsiki villages hanging off the side of volcanic peaks, our itinerary of contrast and adventure continues towards the wildlife reserves of Waza then on to N’Djaména and the Chari River. Finally we arrive at the banks of Lake Chad with its fishermen and its polders in the middle of the desert. And to finish, the oasis which borders the small town of Mao, in the province of Kanem.

Under certain circumstances, they both come to know about their true identities. Though their family arrange their marriage, they feel that they had true love only for their Muslim counterparts. On the day of their marriage, they break up and move away. Meanwhile, Naseema comes to know about Ragava's marriage and her cousin Ashraff (Dinesh) plans for revenge. Ragava and Priya attend Priya's friend Aayisha's marriage and they feel that they still have love for each other. As Ragava leaves the venue, Ashraff and his friends beat him up. Naseema stops them and confesses that only she had mistaken Ragava. Priya notices the brawl, realizes her love and hugs Ragava. Finally, they both get married.

The lake is shared between Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria whereas each country often has different fishing methods, laws, and conservation/production techniques. The lake is shared between Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria whereas each country often has different fishing methods, laws, and conservation/production techniques. Lake Chad provides a lifeline to nearly 30 million people in the four countries. About 90% of the lake’s water comes from the Chari River.
The shrinkage of Lake Chad is the most striking fact. The lake is the remnant of a much larger inland lake, about 400.000 km2 at its largest around the year 4000 BC. Records show that in 1832, Lake Chad was one of the largest lakes in the world. In the 1960s, the lake covered 26.000 km2, making it the fourth largest lake in Africa. However, by 2014, it had shrunk to a mere 2000 km2. The lake is very shallow of about 7 meters at its deepest with an average depth of about 2 meters. Most of its shorelines are made up of marshes.
The increase in lake shrinkage has been attributed to population growth in the four countries whereas millions of people surrounding the lake partially depend on the lake for potable and irrigable water. Moreover, the overgrazing surrounding the lake, and subsequent decline in vegetation has caused extensive desertification. The global warming has been also blamed for the shrinkage of the lake.
The main ongoing activities on the lake are fishing, farming, ranching, and trade. In regard to fishery, Chadian fishermen employ hand nets, gill nets, fish traps and long-lines with multiple hooks; the four methods are found efficient while seine nets are the primary fishing practice in Lake Chad.
Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), is a regional management body that regulates the use of the basin’s water and other natural resources of Lake Chad.
