Plot: Ten-year old Gulistan and her younger brother Firat live happily with their parents in Diyarbakir, the heart of Turkish Kurdistan. Tragedy strikes when their mother and father are shot down by paramilitary gunmen before their eyes. Traumatised and orphaned, Gulistan, Firat and their infant sister are placed in the care of their young, politically-active aunt Yekbun who soon disappears without a trace. As days turn into weeks, the money that their aunt left them runs out. Eventually, the children have to fend for themselves on the streets, where one day, Gulistan is shocked to come across the murderer of her parents.

Plot: Dr. Jhilmil Rao works in a Pune Hospital, and lives in a flat with her writer husband, Virag her sister, Radhika; and son, Rohan. The family decides to re-locate to Saswade about 12 km from Pune in a spacious bungalow. Virag finds the necessary solitude to carry on with his writing, Radhika and Jhilmil take the car for college and work respectively, while Rohan is delighted that he has ample place to play. He soon befriends two other children Manish and Jyoti and informs his parents accordingly. Since there is no neighbor anywhere within sight, they think that he has an active imagination like his dad. They decide to hire a maid, Rukma, to look after him. Subsequently, Rohan complains that Rukma had tried to kill him by trying to push him under a truck, but Rukma denies this. Rohan also accuses Rukma of stealing property from their house, which Rukma vehemently denies. The next day the Police Inspector Bhupal Gorpade, informs the Raos that Rukma has been killed by a hit and run driver. The shocked Raos are also told that property belonging to them has been recovered from Rukma, and according to his investigation, a truck driver did confirm that Rukma had attempted to kill Rohan. The question remains, if Rohan is not making up tall tales, who are Manish and Jyoti, and why can't anyone else see them?

Plot: Elderly aristocrats Lord Charles and Lady Diana Foxley give their staff - butler Benson and cook Margaret - a one week vacation while the Foxleys visit friends as they have rented out their historic mansion for that week to a multinational corporation. As they are proud people, what no one but the Foxleys are aware of is that they are doing so only because they are in dire financial straits, and desperately need the money to retain their outwardly lavish lifestyle. But when the agency through which they hired the temporary cook and butler for the renters goes bankrupt leaving them with no temporary staff, Lady Diana believes the only way they can get away with this rental plan without incurring a costly penalty or to advertise their financial problems is to act as "Benson" and "Margaret" themselves, much against stuffy Lord Charles' wishes and despite they not knowing how to be domestics. What the Foxleys are unaware of is that the multinational corporation is a front for Global Heresy, young immature American rock stars whose record company has set up this stint as a secret retreat location for them to test their new materials. It is also their first opportunity to rehearse with their new bassist Natalie Bevan, as their original bassist and the band's front man, Ben Gould, mysteriously disappeared two months ago and is supposed deceased based on what little evidence is available. It becomes a clash of cultures between the proper Foxleys and the wild band. It also proves to be a clash within the five member band, as Nat is trying to be her own person and not a Ben Gould clone. Further problems arise that week as the record company's hospitality man, James Chancellor, has ulterior motives in his job at the mansion, and as two unexpected guests arrive who could upset the apple cart both on the Foxley and the band's sides of the issue.

Plot: Sally Murphy helps her mother run a boarding house for police rookies that includes Tommy Bradley and Jane's brother Jimmy. The latter is in love with Sue Duffy, daughter of police Captain Duffy, but Jimmy can't get along with Sue's father. Jimmy plans secretly to join the notorious gang led by Ed Boyd. Jane is determined to find out who killed Tommy even if it implicates her brother, whom she suspects after finding a clue in his room. She takes Billy to the night club and puts on a song and dance while Billy searches for evidence, which he finds. After putting Captain Duffy and his rookies on the trail of the fur shop loot, Jane and Billy discover that Jimmy had joined the gang under Captain Duffy's order. Boyd has also learned the same and decides to have Jimmy killed.
