Geeta Bali was born in 1930 in Amritsar, Punjab, India as Harikirtan Kaur. She was an actress, known for Vachan (1955), Albela (1951) and Baazi (1951). She was married to Shammi Kapoor. She died on January 21, 1965 in Bombay, India.
Geeta Bali was a known film actress from Bollywood. She was born as Harkirtan Kaur in Punjab, India. She started her career in very small age, her first movies as lead actress was Badnaami.
Her known movies are Ghayal (1951), Baazi (1951) with Dev Anand, Baaz (1953) with Guru Dutt, Mr. India (1961). She was Aunt of actress Yogeeta Bali.
She married to actor shammi kapoor. They married at Banganga Temples, near Napean Sea Road of Mumbai, had two children, a son Aditya Raj Kapoor and a daughter Kanchan.
She died on 21 January 1965, while shooting a Punjabi film. After her death shammi kapoor married to neela devi gohil in 1969.

Geeta Bali (1930 – 21 January 1965) was a popular film actress from Bollywood.
Early life
Bali was born in pre-partition Punjab in Sargodha as Harkirtan Kaur. Her family moved to Mumbai and were living in near poverty when she started to get breaks in films.
Career
Geeta Baali started her film career as a child actress, at the age of 12, with the film The Cobbler. She made her debut as a heroine in Badnaami.
Bali became a star in the 1950s. She had also worked earlier with her future brother-in-law Raj Kapoor in Bawre Nain and with her future father-in-law Prithviraj Kapoor in Anand Math. Unlike other actresses who gave up films after marrying into the Kapoor family, Bali kept acting until her death. Her last film was Jab Se Tumko Dekha Hai in 1963.
Her secretary was Surinder Kapoor, father of producer Boney Kapoor, actor Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor.
Personal life
They lived in Amritsar before 1947. Her father, Kartar Singh, known as Philosopher, was blind. He was a Sikh scholar and kirtan (Sikh devotional music) singer. Her maternal grandfather, Takhat Singh (1870-1937), was the founder of Sikh Kanya Mahavidyalay - a boarding school for girls and the first of its kind established in 1904 in Ferozepur. The parents encouraged their daughters, Harkirtan (Geeta Bali) and Hardarshan, to learn classical music and dance, horse riding and gatka fencing. Fundamentalist Sikhs socially boycotted the family as they did not like the girls performing in public and they picketed theatres. Bali became a star in the 1950s. She had also worked earlier with her future brother-in-law Raj Kapoor in Bawre Nain and with her future father-in-law Prithviraj Kapoor in Anand Math. Unlike other actresses who gave up films after marrying into the Kapoor family, Bali kept acting until her death. Her last film was Jab Se Tumko Dekha Hai in 1963.

Geeta Dutt, born Geeta Ghosh Roy Chowdhuri (23 November 1930 - 20 July 1972) was a prominent singer in India. She found particular prominence as a playback singer in Hindi cinema. She also sang many modern Bengali songs. Geeta was about to step into her teens. One day she was crooning a song in her flat, music director K. Hanuman Prasad happened to hear her voice. He was much impressed, and therefore, persuaded her parents to have her try to sing in films. K. Hanuman Prasad took Geeta under his patronage, trained and groomed her in singing and later launched her into singing in the movies. Geeta was about to step into her teens. One day she was crooning a song in her flat, music director K. Hanuman Prasad happened to hear her voice. He was much impressed, and therefore, persuaded her parents to have her try to sing in films. K. Hanuman Prasad took Geeta under his patronage, trained and groomed her in singing and later launched her into singing in the movies.
Geeta Dutt is supposed to have sung over 1200 songs in Hindi films. In addition she has also sung songs in many Indian regional languages including Marathi, Bengali, Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri and Punjabi.

Geeta Baali started her film career as a child actress, at the age of 12, with the film The Cobbler. She made her debut as a heroine in Badnaami.
Bali became a star in the 1950s. She had also worked earlier with her future brother-in-law Raj Kapoor in Bawre Nain and with her future father-in-law Prithviraj Kapoor in Anand Math. Unlike other actresses who gave up films after marrying into the Kapoor family, Bali kept acting until her death. Her last film was Jab Se Tumko Dekha Hai in 1963.
Her secretary was Surinder Kapoor, father of producer Boney Kapoor, actor Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor.
They lived in Amritsar before 1947. Her father, Kartar Singh was known as a philosopher . He was a Sikh scholar and kirtan (Sikh devotional music) singer. Her maternal grandfather, Takhat Singh (1870-1937), was the founder of Sikh Kanya Mahavidyalay - a boarding school for girls and the first of its kind established in 1904 in Ferozepur. The parents encouraged their daughters, Harkirtan (Geeta Bali) and Hardarshan, to learn classical music and dance, horse riding and gatka fencing. Fundamentalist Sikhs socially boycotted the family as they did not like the girls performing in public and they picketed theatres. On 23 August 1955 Geeta married Shammi Kapoor, with whom she was working in the film Coffee House. They had two children, a son (Aditya Raj Kapoor) and a daughter (Kanchan).[citation needed]
She died on 21 January 1965, having contracted smallpox while shooting a Punjabi film, Rano, based on a novel Eik Chadar Maili Si by Rajinder Singh Bedi. He was directing the film and she was the producer. Bedi, devastated by the untimely death of Bali, abandoned the project. He wrote later that he had put the novel on her burning funeral pyre

After losing his vision during a storm, Carlos lives with his sister, Maria, off of the Indian coast in a fishing village. One day a mysterious young woman, Lisa, enters their lives, followed by a mysterious man, Tony Fernandes. Maria and Tony fall in love with each other, much to the chagrin of Simon, who loves Maria and wants to marry her. Lisa then warns Maria that she has known Tony, they have had an affair together, and he had betrayed her, however, this warning has no effect on Maria. Then a gypsy palm-reader also cautions Maria that she may be headed for disaster at the hands of a stranger. The question remains: who exactly are Lisa and Tony, and what is the reason behind their presence on this fishing community; and whether or not Maria is being drawn into a web of lies and deceit at the hands of Tony?

Synopsis:Widower Vikas lives a fairly wealthy lifestyle along with son, Raju, on an island off of Bombay's Gateway of India. Raju has not been told of his mother's demise, and believes that she will return home by the next boat. He is looked after and abused by Vikas' aunt, and manages to run away. On one occasion, in the company of Minoo, his neighbor, they manage to get on the boat, reach Bombay, and start a frantic search for his mother. With the help of the Police, Vikas was able to locate and bring them back home. When Vikas goes to work one day, villagers find an unconscious female and bring her to his house. She is looked after, and Raju believes that his mother has returned. When Vikas returns, he decides to let this female, whose name is Juhi, live with them - little knowing that she is a runaway prostitute.

For worse, in sickness or in health till death do us part this was the pledge Prem and Kamla swore-with the sky, the landscape and the pepul tree as the withnesses. And they could very well afford to take this pledge as apparently there was no hitch to their impending marriage. . But fate willed otherwise. Kamlas elder brother Kumar who was going to be the mainstay of the family, consisting fo the old retiring father Dina Nath, the vivacius Kamla and the younger Brother Kishore, meets with fatal accident the day he passes B.A. examination. Over whelmed with this sudden catastrophe, Dina Nath bangs his head against the ground and loses his eyesinght. Kamla is appalled. How can she leave her bling old father in the lurch and herself get married to Prem assures Kamla that he will take as much care of her father and brother as of his mother, but Kamla does not want to burden him thus as also she rightly presumes that her mother-in-law will terrible resent them. So she tells prem that she will keep her pledga but after Kishore comes of age that is six or seven years henceforth. Prem agrees but not so his mother goaded by the wily Muneem. A tussle ensues. Prems mother threatens to commit suicide if Prem refuses to marry another girl of her choice. But Prem holds on till one day the mother almost carries out her threat. Faced with no alternative Prem has to break his pledge and give in Kamla though stunned, faces the situation bravely while Prems jealous wife forces him to leave the town to make their residence elsewhere. Kamla works day and night and brings up her younger brother Kishore with the care and devotion worthy of a mother. Kishore grows up into a youngman and ex-Muneem of prem gets his niece married to him and comes to live with them. He is an opium addict and with no pocket money to procure opium he starts stealing household goods and tries to throw the blame on Kamla.

Story - Gora, Ajay, Anjali and her husband, Bipin are amongst a group of freedom-fighters actively involved in trying to force the British to leave Hindustan. Their plans to carry out bomb explosions are foiled when Bipin betrays them and is even ready to identify them in Court. During the Court hearing, Gora shoots and injures him, and he as well as Anjali and Ajay flee to Portuguese-occupied Goa. Gora, who gets shot, recuperates in the clinic of a rebel doctor, while the others lie low. He is instructed to masquerade as the husband of Nurse Meenakshi, and after his recovery befriends a dancer/singer, Kitty. Through her admirer, he acquires property where they propose to manufacture medicines and explosives. But nothing will prepare him and the others for the shocks and treachery that await them.
