Pietro Tonolo, tra i più interessanti musicisti del jazz italiano, è da molti anni anche uno dei suoi più affermati esponenti a livello internazionale, in virtù delle molte collaborazioni con importanti musicisti USA, tra cui Gil Evans, Steve Lacy, Joe Lovano, Steve Swallow, Gil Goldstein e Paul Motian, della cui Electric Be-Bop Band è stato un componente stabile dal 1999 al 2004. Joe Chambers ha un'importante collocazione nella storia del jazz, protagonista negli anni '60 di celebri incisioni Blue Note al fianco tra gli altri di Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Andrew Hill, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson e Sam Rivers. Lo spagnolo Jorge Rossy è uno dei più creativi ed efficaci batteristi della scena jazz mondiale, oltre ad essere uno dei pochi musicisti europei, e certamente l'unico tra i batteristi, ad essersi stabilmente affermato ai più alti livelli di questa musica (trio di Brad Mehldau ecc..). Da qualche anno Tonolo e Chambers hanno insieme dato vita a diversi trii e quartetti, avendo modo di sviluppare l'empatia musicale che è alla base del loro sodalizio artistico. Questo gruppo, completato dal contrabbassista britannico Arnie Somogyi, che ha collaborato tra gli altri con Bobby Hutcherson, Art Farmer e Bud Shank ed è parte della ritmica stabile del Ronnie Scott di Londra, presenta la particolarità dello scambio di ruoli tra Chambers e Rossy, che hanno in comune l'aver affiancato un secondo strumento alla batteria: vibrafono nel primo caso, pianoforte nel secondo.

A Philadelphia cop owes his life to 17-year-old Joe Chambers after the teenager pulled him from a burning police cruiser on Saturday night.
Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News.
Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. It was less than one minute before the fire spread to the driver’s seat, and less than five minutes before the entire car was ablaze.
A black pickup truck reportedly broadsided the cruiser, denting the driver’s side door so that Kimsey, who was semi-conscious, was unable to escape.
The Daily News reported that Chambers also rescued the unconscious driver of the pickup truck and brought him to safety.
Chambers, a senior at Ridley High School and a volunteer firefighter with the Leedom company for the past three years, told the Daily News that he plans to join the Marines or Army after graduating. However, he eventually plans to pursue his dream of becoming a firefighter or a policeman.

Joe Chambers
Joe Chambers (born June 25, 1942, near Philadelphia) is an American jazz drummer, as well as a pianist, vibraphonist and composer. He attended the Philadelphia Conservatory for one year. In the 1960s and '70s Chambers gigged with many high-profile artists such as Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter, and Chick Corea. He has released eight albums as a bandleader and been a member of several incarnations of Roach's M'Boom percussion ensemble.
He has also taught, including at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. At the school he leads the Outlaw Band. In 2008, he was hired to be the Thomas S. Kenan Distinguished Professor of Jazz in the Department of Music at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Pietro Tonolo
Pietro Tonolo (born May 30, 1959) is an Italian jazz saxophone player and composer.
Biography
Classical music’s loss was jazz’s gain in 1979, when Pietro Tonolo gave up a career as a classical violinist to become a jazz sax player. Around that time, he moved to Milan, where he played with some of Italy’s best jazz musicians, including Franco D’Andrea, Luigi Bonafede, Larry Nocella, Massimo Urbani, Rita Marcotulli and Enrico Rava.
In 1982, Tonolo joined the Gil Evans Orchestra, playing with notable musicians as Steve Lacy, Lew Soloff and Ray Anderson. He later went on to perform in jazz clubs and on radio and television around Europe and the USA, both as a sideman and as a leader with his own band. He was a steady member of the Paul Motian’s Electric Bebop Band from 1999 to 2004. Other notable collaborators have included the likes of Kenny Clarke, Roswell Rudd, Sal Nistico, Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, John Surman, Steve Swallow, Gil Goldstein, Barry Altschul, Joe Chambers, Henri Texier, Aldo Romano, Kenny Wheeler, Eliot Zigmund and Tony Oxley.

Jorge Rossy
Jorge (Jordi) Rossy (b. Barcelona, Spain 1964) is a jazz drummer. He started playing drums at age 11.
Between 1980 and 1989, he toured and recorded extensively with several musicians in the Spanish jazz scene, as well as with internationally acclaimed artists such as Woody Shaw, Kenny Wheeler, Jack Walrath, Dave Schinitter, Sal Nistico, Sean Levitt, and others.
In 1989, he moved to Boston to study trumpet at Berklee College of Music.
In Boston, Rossy became the drummer of choice for many of his peers, and joined the Danilo Perez Trio for gigs in Panama, France, Boston and New York.
He subsequently joined the Paquito D’Rivera Sextet for two years.
in 1991, Rossy moved to New York City, and played on several early recordings of many of his Boston contemporaries, including Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Seamus Blake, Kurt Rosenwinkel. He also accompanied several other musicians then living in the New York, including Brad Mehldau, Ethan Iverson, Reid Anderson, Avishai Cohen, Joe Martin, and Freddie Bryant.

Hero teen firefighter Joe Chambers rescues Philadelphia cop from vehicle inferno
A Philadelphia cop owes his life to 17-year-old Joe Chambers after the teenager pulled him from a burning police cruiser on Saturday night. Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News. Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. It was less than one minute before the fire spread to the driver’s seat, and less than five minutes before the entire car was ablaze. Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with J Jazz Drummer, Pianist, Vibraphonist & Composer Joe Chambers .. He was born and bred in Philadelphia and he talked at length about a great many things .. His newest album – full of sound and beautiful vibes is called Landscapes and prior to that he released Moving Pictures Orchestra – Live at Dizzy’s Coca Cola – He spent a year at the Philadelphia Conservatory and would go on to captivate the world after moving to NYC in 1963 – He would play on Freddie Hubbard’s LP Breaking Point – give with the best in avante garde jazz .. with cats like Eric Dolphy – then gig with the likes of Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, McCoy Tyner and Chick Corea .. His mentor is Max Roach and he has been a part of Roach's M'Boom ...

Pietro Tonolo, tra i più interessanti musicisti del jazz italiano, è da molti anni anche uno dei suoi più affermati esponenti a livello internazionale, in virtù delle molte collaborazioni con importanti musicisti USA, tra cui Gil Evans, Steve Lacy, Joe Lovano, Steve Swallow, Gil Goldstein e Paul Motian, della cui Electric Be-Bop Band è stato un componente stabile dal 1999 al 2004. Joe Chambers ha un'importante collocazione nella storia del jazz, protagonista negli anni '60 di celebri incisioni Blue Note al fianco tra gli altri di Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Andrew Hill, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson e Sam Rivers. Lo spagnolo Jorge Rossy è uno dei più creativi ed efficaci batteristi della scena jazz mondiale, oltre ad essere uno dei pochi musicisti europei, e certamente l'unico tra i batteristi, ad essersi stabilmente affermato ai più alti livelli di questa musica (trio di Brad Mehldau ecc..). Da qualche anno Tonolo e Chambers hanno insieme dato vita a diversi trii e quartetti, avendo modo di sviluppare l'empatia musicale che è alla base del loro sodalizio artistico. Questo gruppo, completato dal contrabbassista britannico Arnie Somogyi, che ha collaborato tra gli altri con Bobby Hutcherson, Art Farmer e Bud Shank ed è parte della ritmica stabile del Ronnie Scott di Londra, presenta la particolarità dello scambio di ruoli tra Chambers e Rossy, che hanno in comune l'aver affiancato un secondo strumento alla batteria: vibrafono nel primo caso, pianoforte nel secondo.

Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. It was less than one minute before the fire spread to the driver’s seat, and less than five minutes before the entire car was ablaze.
A black pickup truck reportedly broadsided the cruiser, denting the driver’s side door so that Kimsey, who was semi-conscious, was unable to escape.
The Daily News reported that Chambers also rescued the unconscious driver of the pickup truck and brought him to safety.
Chambers, a senior at Ridley High School and a volunteer firefighter with the Leedom company for the past three years, told the Daily News that he plans to join the Marines or Army after graduating. However, he eventually plans to pursue his dream of becoming a firefighter or a policeman.

A Philadelphia cop owes his life to 17-year-old Joe Chambers after the teenager pulled him from a burning police cruiser on Saturday night. Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News. Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. Pietro Tonolo, tra i più interessanti musicisti del jazz italiano, è da molti anni anche uno dei suoi più affermati esponenti a livello internazionale, in virtù delle molte collaborazioni con importanti musicisti USA, tra cui Gil Evans, Steve Lacy, Joe Lovano, Steve Swallow, Gil Goldstein e Paul Motian, della cui Electric Be-Bop Band è stato un componente stabile dal 1999 al 2004. Joe Chambers ha un'importante collocazione nella storia del jazz, protagonista negli anni '60 di celebri incisioni Blue Note al fianco tra gli altri di Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Andrew Hill, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson e Sam Rivers. Lo spagnolo Jorge Rossy è uno dei più creativi ed efficaci batteristi della scena jazz mondiale, oltre ad essere uno dei pochi musicisti europei, e certamente l'unico tra i batteristi, ad essersi stabilmente affermato ai più alti livelli di questa musica (trio di Brad Mehldau ecc..). Da qualche anno Tonolo e Chambers hanno insieme dato vita a diversi trii e quartetti, avendo modo di sviluppare l'empatia musicale che è alla base del loro sodalizio artistico. Questo gruppo, completato dal contrabbassista britannico Arnie Somogyi, che ha collaborato tra gli altri con Bobby Hutcherson, Art Farmer e Bud Shank ed è parte della ritmica stabile del Ronnie Scott di Londra, presenta la particolarità dello scambio di ruoli tra Chambers e Rossy, che hanno in comune l'aver affiancato un secondo strumento alla batteria: vibrafono nel primo caso, pianoforte nel secondo.

Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News.
Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. It was less than one minute before the fire spread to the driver’s seat, and less than five minutes before the entire car was ablaze.
A black pickup truck reportedly broadsided the cruiser, denting the driver’s side door so that Kimsey, who was semi-conscious, was unable to escape.
The Daily News reported that Chambers also rescued the unconscious driver of the pickup truck and brought him to safety.
Chambers, a senior at Ridley High School and a volunteer firefighter with the Leedom company for the past three years, told the Daily News that he plans to join the Marines or Army after graduating. However, he eventually plans to pursue his dream of becoming a firefighter or a policeman.

Three things stood out from the interview with Pastor Chambers by Tony Smart; D. Min.
I. Her interpretation of the word "effeminate" in 1 Corinthians 6:9. (Gr. malakos) would not be translated by the KJV scholars as womanizers as she stated since the word "pornos" or fornicators is already used in the text. They understood the word to mean a man who was soft, thus womanlike in his behavior. It is listed between adulterers and abusers of themselves with mankind, both of which are sexual sins.
II. Dr. Mollenkott clearly stated that she does not believe she needs cleansing by the blood of Christ. The theology of the Old and New Testaments makes it clear that the blood is necessary to wash away sins. (Leviticus 17: Romans 5:9-10; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
III. Dr. Mollenkott stated that "we were all in the Roman Catholic church the first four centuries of church history." This is false as they were many independent congregations that received apostolic teaching and were in no way under a centralized hierarchy of priests. She obviously believes that the Roman Catholic church is the original church which of course it is not. It is a perversion of true New Testament Christianity.

The official NASA seal and the less-formal NASA insignia are among the most recognized emblems throughout the world. Virtually unknown, however, are the informative and entertaining stories of how the original emblems were conceived and developed by personnel at NASA Headquarters, the Lewis Research Center (now the Glenn Research Center), the Langley Research Center, and the Ames Research Center. The presentation summarizes recent research on the history of these activities and provides previously undocumented facts on this element of NASA's legacy. The logos, which include symbols representing the space and aeronautics missions of NASA, were first implemented in 1959 following a NASA-wide design competition. The winning seal design was submitted by James Modarelli of the Lewis Research Center who was also tasked with designing the less-formal "Meatball" insignia. The presentation reveals previously unknown aerodynamic studies at Ames and Langley (including a secret military project) that led to the red "slash" in the logos. Humorous (sometimes embarrassing) events that occurred in the approval process are also reviewed. The adoption of a new insignia known as the NASA Logotype (irreverently known by many as the "Worm") in 1975 and the events that resulted in it being replaced by the Meatball in 1992 are discussed. The presentation concludes with a discussion of a modern-day modification to the Meatball informally known as the "Swoosh" for applications to current NASA aircraft.

Never have two musicians seemed so alike in temperament yet differed so much in their approach to making music as Chet Baker and Bill Evans. While both were peerless masters of their instruments and shared a rich, evocatively lyrical playing style that bordered beguilingly on the introspective, Baker and Evans were polar opposites when it came to the discipline of performance.
Though both were heroin addicts, the musically-trained Evans never let it interfere with his meticulously precise flights of invention while the self-taught Baker became increasingly erratic and inconsistent. They ventured into a recording studio together on just three occasions.

However, I have to single out Pepper Adams on baritone sax who really shines on these selections. The production values and mix are spot on, courtesy of Orrin Keepnews. The entire project maintains a leisurely tempo and a rich melodic and moody interpretation of these classic compositions.

Three things stood out from the interview with Pastor Chambers by Tony Smart; D. Min.
I. Her interpretation of the word "effeminate" in 1 Corinthians 6:9. (Gr. malakos) would not be translated by the KJV scholars as womanizers as she stated since the word "pornos" or fornicators is already used in the text. They understood the word to mean a man who was soft, thus womanlike in his behavior. It is listed between adulterers and abusers of themselves with mankind, both of which are sexual sins.
II. Dr. Mollenkott clearly stated that she does not believe she needs cleansing by the blood of Christ. The theology of the Old and New Testaments makes it clear that the blood is necessary to wash away sins. (Leviticus 17: Romans 5:9-10; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
III. Dr. Mollenkott stated that "we were all in the Roman Catholic church the first four centuries of church history." This is false as they were many independent congregations that received apostolic teaching and were in no way under a centralized hierarchy of priests. She obviously believes that the Roman Catholic church is the original church which of course it is not. It is a perversion of true New Testament Christianity.

They understood the word to mean a man who was soft, thus womanlike in his behavior. It is listed between adulterers and abusers of themselves with mankind, both of which are sexual sins.
II. Dr. Mollenkott clearly stated that she does not believe she needs cleansing by the blood of Christ. The theology of the Old and New Testaments makes it clear that the blood is necessary to wash away sins. (Leviticus 17: Romans 5:9-10; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
III. Dr. Mollenkott stated that "we were all in the Roman Catholic church the first four centuries of church history." This is false as they were many independent congregations that received apostolic teaching and were in no way under a centralized hierarchy of priests. She obviously believes that the Roman Catholic church is the original church which of course it is not. It is a perversion of true New Testament Christianity.

Here's a classic Wildman Steve & DJ Riz show from '93 which features a very early appearance of Wu-Tang members Ghostface, Raekwon, Method Man & U-God (as well as college radio veterans Total Pack which consisted of Ce Style & Kamal B Wise. WBAU used to come on Monday nights on Long Island's Adelphi University's 90.3 frequency. The show aired from 10pm-2am. The show location itself was like a typical night at D&D; Studios. Once you were buzzed in and took the elevator to the 3rd floor you would stumble across many aspiring artists. Wildman Steve started on the station in '87 while DJ Riz joined him in '91. The show ran it's course until August 1995 when the frequency was sold to Nassau Community College. Steve's voice would boom through the speakers with a touch of reverb while DJ Riz destroyed the turntables. He remains to this day one of the nicest DJs to ever do radio. Both Steve and Riz's contribution to the show and Hip Hop itself still resonates today.

Pietro Tonolo, tra i più interessanti musicisti del jazz italiano, è da molti anni anche uno dei suoi più affermati esponenti a livello internazionale, in virtù delle molte collaborazioni con importanti musicisti USA, tra cui Gil Evans, Steve Lacy, Joe Lovano, Steve Swallow, Gil Goldstein e Paul Motian, della cui Electric Be-Bop Band è stato un componente stabile dal 1999 al 2004. Joe Chambers ha un'importante collocazione nella storia del jazz, protagonista negli anni '60 di celebri incisioni Blue Note al fianco tra gli altri di Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Andrew Hill, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson e Sam Rivers. Lo spagnolo Jorge Rossy è uno dei più creativi ed efficaci batteristi della scena jazz mondiale, oltre ad essere uno dei pochi musicisti europei, e certamente l'unico tra i batteristi, ad essersi stabilmente affermato ai più alti livelli di questa musica (trio di Brad Mehldau ecc..). Da qualche anno Tonolo e Chambers hanno insieme dato vita a diversi trii e quartetti, avendo modo di sviluppare l'empatia musicale che è alla base del loro sodalizio artistico. Questo gruppo, completato dal contrabbassista britannico Arnie Somogyi, che ha collaborato tra gli altri con Bobby Hutcherson, Art Farmer e Bud Shank ed è parte della ritmica stabile del Ronnie Scott di Londra, presenta la particolarità dello scambio di ruoli tra Chambers e Rossy, che hanno in comune l'aver affiancato un secondo strumento alla batteria: vibrafono nel primo caso, pianoforte nel secondo.

A Philadelphia cop owes his life to 17-year-old Joe Chambers after the teenager pulled him from a burning police cruiser on Saturday night. Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News. Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. A Philadelphia cop owes his life to 17-year-old Joe Chambers after the teenager pulled him from a burning police cruiser on Saturday night.
Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News.
Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. It was less than one minute before the fire spread to the driver’s seat, and less than five minutes before the entire car was ablaze.
A black pickup truck reportedly broadsided the cruiser, denting the driver’s side door so that Kimsey, who was semi-conscious, was unable to escape.
The Daily News reported that Chambers also rescued the unconscious driver of the pickup truck and brought him to safety.
Chambers, a senior at Ridley High School and a volunteer firefighter with the Leedom company for the past three years, told the Daily News that he plans to join the Marines or Army after graduating. However, he eventually plans to pursue his dream of becoming a firefighter or a policeman.

A Philadelphia cop owes his life to 17-year-old Joe Chambers after the teenager pulled him from a burning police cruiser on Saturday night.
Chambers was watching ‘Cops’ on television on Saturday evening when he heard a crash outside. Going outside to investigate, Chambers found officer Mark Kimsey trapped in a police cruiser that was on fire at the intersection of 28th and Tasker St., according to the New York Daily News.
Although the fire could have engulfed the entire vehicle at any moment, Chambers and another passerby pulled the injured Kimsey from the vehicle. It was less than one minute before the fire spread to the driver’s seat, and less than five minutes before the entire car was ablaze.
A black pickup truck reportedly broadsided the cruiser, denting the driver’s side door so that Kimsey, who was semi-conscious, was unable to escape.
The Daily News reported that Chambers also rescued the unconscious driver of the pickup truck and brought him to safety.
Chambers, a senior at Ridley High School and a volunteer firefighter with the Leedom company for the past three years, told the Daily News that he plans to join the Marines or Army after graduating. However, he eventually plans to pursue his dream of becoming a firefighter or a policeman.

I. Her interpretation of the word "effeminate" in 1 Corinthians 6:9. (Gr. malakos) would not be translated by the KJV scholars as womanizers as she stated since the word "pornos" or fornicators is already used in the text. They understood the word to mean a man who was soft, thus womanlike in his behavior. It is listed between adulterers and abusers of themselves with mankind, both of which are sexual sins.
II. Dr. Mollenkott clearly stated that she does not believe she needs cleansing by the blood of Christ. The theology of the Old and New Testaments makes it clear that the blood is necessary to wash away sins. (Leviticus 17: Romans 5:9-10; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
III. Dr. Mollenkott stated that "we were all in the Roman Catholic church the first four centuries of church history." This is false as they were many independent congregations that received apostolic teaching and were in no way under a centralized hierarchy of priests. She obviously believes that the Roman Catholic church is the original church which of course it is not. It is a perversion of true New Testament Christianity.

Three things stood out from the interview with Pastor Chambers by Tony Smart; D. Min.
I. Her interpretation of the word "effeminate" in 1 Corinthians 6:9. (Gr. malakos) would not be translated by the KJV scholars as womanizers as she stated since the word "pornos" or fornicators is already used in the text. They understood the word to mean a man who was soft, thus womanlike in his behavior. It is listed between adulterers and abusers of themselves with mankind, both of which are sexual sins.
II. Dr. Mollenkott clearly stated that she does not believe she needs cleansing by the blood of Christ. The theology of the Old and New Testaments makes it clear that the blood is necessary to wash away sins. (Leviticus 17: Romans 5:9-10; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
III. Dr. Mollenkott stated that "we were all in the Roman Catholic church the first four centuries of church history." This is false as they were many independent congregations that received apostolic teaching and were in no way under a centralized hierarchy of priests. She obviously believes that the Roman Catholic church is the original church which of course it is not. It is a perversion of true New Testament Christianity.

The official NASA seal and the less-formal NASA insignia are among the most recognized emblems throughout the world. Virtually unknown, however, are the informative and entertaining stories of how the original emblems were conceived and developed by personnel at NASA Headquarters, the Lewis Research Center (now the Glenn Research Center), the Langley Research Center, and the Ames Research Center. The presentation summarizes recent research on the history of these activities and provides previously undocumented facts on this element of NASA's legacy. The logos, which include symbols representing the space and aeronautics missions of NASA, were first implemented in 1959 following a NASA-wide design competition. The winning seal design was submitted by James Modarelli of the Lewis Research Center who was also tasked with designing the less-formal "Meatball" insignia. The presentation reveals previously unknown aerodynamic studies at Ames and Langley (including a secret military project) that led to the red "slash" in the logos. Humorous (sometimes embarrassing) events that occurred in the approval process are also reviewed. The adoption of a new insignia known as the NASA Logotype (irreverently known by many as the "Worm") in 1975 and the events that resulted in it being replaced by the Meatball in 1992 are discussed. The presentation concludes with a discussion of a modern-day modification to the Meatball informally known as the "Swoosh" for applications to current NASA aircraft.

Never have two musicians seemed so alike in temperament yet differed so much in their approach to making music as Chet Baker and Bill Evans. While both were peerless masters of their instruments and shared a rich, evocatively lyrical playing style that bordered beguilingly on the introspective, Baker and Evans were polar opposites when it came to the discipline of performance.
Though both were heroin addicts, the musically-trained Evans never let it interfere with his meticulously precise flights of invention while the self-taught Baker became increasingly erratic and inconsistent. They ventured into a recording studio together on just three occasions.

The backing musicians are truly the gold standard of jazz recording artists. All these individuals are legendary jazz icons with very successful solo careers. The ensemble includes Herbie Mann, Pepper Adams, Kenny Burrell, Paul Chambers, Connie Kay and Philly Joe Jones. All these artists turn in stellar performances. However, I have to single out Pepper Adams on baritone sax who really shines on these selections. The production values and mix are spot on, courtesy of Orrin Keepnews. The entire project maintains a leisurely tempo and a rich melodic and moody interpretation of these classic compositions.
