BATHINDA: Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday said that leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were ignorant about issues and emotions of Punjabis. He said AAP leaders were doing whatever they deemed fit to attract the fancy of people.

Talking to newspersons at Chhapianwali village in Muktsar, he said, "AAP leaders don't even care about the religious sentiments of people as they did harm to Sikh tenets while putting picture of their party's election symbol 'broom' along with the Golden Temple." He cautioned people of Punjab not to vote for AAP, or the party would ruin the state like Congress if voted to power.

Badal said AAP had proved that it was following Congress by adopting anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh stance. The CM said AAP leaders had no respect for any religion, and by equating their manifesto with scriptures of all religions, the AAP leadership had hurt the psyche of people.

Badal said both Congress and AAP were hobnobbing to snatch legitimate share of Punjab's water. He said while Congress had signed various water agreements to deprive state of its waters, AAP was trying its best to ensure that those agreements were implemented at the earliest.
