Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor and comedian. Pink Floyd The Final Cut Released 21 March 1983 Recorded July--December 1982 The Final Cut is an anti-war concept album, whose lyrics explore what Waters regards as the betrayal of fallen British servicemen—such as his father—who during World War II sacrificed their lives in the spirit of a post-war dream. This post-war dream was that their victory would usher in a more peaceful world, whose leaders would no longer be so eager to solve disputes by resorting to war. The album's lyrics are critical of Thatcher, whose policies and decisions Waters regarded as an example of this betrayal. She is referred to as "Maggie" throughout the album. If you negotiate the minefield in the drive And beat the dogs and cheat the cold electronic eyes And if you make it past the shotguns in the hall, Dial the combination, open the priesthole And if I'm in I'll tell you what's behind the wall. "The Final Cut" is the title track from Pink Floyd's 1983's album The Final Cut. The video depicts Roger Waters singing to a psychologist and utilizes old film footage of 1930s and '40s life intertwined. It contains a short guitar solo played by David Gilmour. As the album's title track, it reveals Waters' deepest intimacies; the lyrics deal with the aftermath of a man's isolation and sexual repression, as he contemplates suicide, and struggles to reconnect with the world around him. The orchestral motif is similar to that found on "Comfortably Numb", which was also scored by Michael Kamen. - Wikipedia This lyrics-video was requested by the user Nannaaw! Coheed and Cambria's The Final Cut Lyrics: In the final curtain call, You left me here with the coldest of feelings, Weight, kind, depression, Blessing the floors with the places you've stepped in. Will they ever measure up, To the way you left me here by the roadside, The bloodiest cadaver, Marked in your words, I'm the joke, I'm the bastard. Here, wait, so I guess that you knew, That you're a selfish little whore, I'm the selfish little whore, If I had my way I'd crush your face in the door. This is no beginning, yeah, yeah, yeah, This is the final cut, open up. This is no beginning, yeah, yeah, yeah, This is the final cut.

Lyrics: (Roger Waters) Floating down through the clouds Memories come rushing up to meet me now. In the space between the heavens and in the corner of some foreign field I had a dream. I had a dream. Good-bye Max. Good-bye Ma. After the service when you're walking slowly to the car And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air You hear the tolling bell And touch the silk in your lapel And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band You take her frail hand And hold on to the dream. A place to stay "Oi! A real one ..." Enough to eat Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street Where you can speak out loud About your doubts and fears And what's more no-one ever disappears You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door. You can re...

Here is my remastered video I made a few years back of Pink Floyd's The Final Cut. I took the original EP Video made in 1983 and mixed it with video from their 1982 feature film The Wall using the 2004 remastered version of The Final Cut album as audio. Unfortunately the audio isn't the best, and it took my hours to sync the new music to the clips of Roger Waters singing. Naturally all copyrights and such are that of Pink Floyd Ltd. 1987 ℗ All rights reserved to the members of the band.

This is the raw vision/sound of an interview me and Chris Murray conducted in Sydney in late 2010 for the now-defunct cable show The Movie Club. I posted the footage a few months ago because I've always liked how it showed the low-key Robin Williams behind the sometimes manic persona I'd seen in other interviews. He was a lovely guy, very happy to chat afterwards and was instrumental in arranging for me to visit his hero, Mort Sahl, in Mill Valley, California, for another interview. He will be missed.

Beloved actor Robin Williams was found dead on Monday, police reported. He was 63. The apparent cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation, authorities said. According to his publicist, Williams had been battling severe depression. Williams was best known for his starring roles in classic comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning, Vietnam and Jumanji, but also in dramas like Dead Poets Society. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. He rose to fame while playing Mork the alien in the TV show Mork & Mindy, a Happy Days spinoff. Most recently, Williams had starred in the new CBS sitcom 'The Crazy Ones.' It was cancelled after just one season. At his time of death, a sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire was in the works. Susan ...
