💡 Derek Scott, brother of the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott, has publicly opened up about his rocker sibling for the first time. He said it's the first and last time he'll grant such an interview.
Derek says that many stories written about his brother, who died in 1980, are "bullshit."
Derek addresses Bon's alcohol abuse issues. Some mystery still surrounds the circumstances of the AC/DC singer's death, but it's known he died from alcohol poisoning in what authorities infamously classified "death by misadventure."
"He did get bored very quickly," Derek says of Bon, the influential AC/DC frontman whose real name was Ronald Scott. "That was the biggest problem. When he got bored, he drank. He never worried about tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day." 💡

In a world exclusive, Australian Story unravels the legend of AC/DC front man Bon Scott, who was on the verge of becoming an international rock star when he died at age 33.
For the first time ever, the program has been granted access to Bon’s family and friends who provide fresh insights into his vulnerabilities and state of mind leading up to his untimely death in London in 1980.
The program features the first interview with Bon’s younger brother Derek and is introduced by Brian Johnson, Bon’s successor with the band.
Bruce Howe, a former bandmate who shared a house with Bon for five years, noticed a big change when he last saw him in late 1979.
“He wasn’t bubbly and laughing. Maybe he’d come to the state where he’d achieved his dream, he found his holy grail, but found that his holy grail might have looked like an empty goblet,” he told the program.
To this day, Bon Scott is considered one of the world’s best rock and roll singers.

Derek Scott (music director)
Derek Scott (born 25 December 1921; died 27 May 2006) was a British film, television and stage musical director, film and television composer and musician. He started his career as a double act with both Terry-Thomas and Tony Hancock before becoming a composer for film and television and "one of Britain’s best known light entertainment musical directors."
Scott is best known for being the music director for ITV’s The Muppet Show (1976-81) composing many of the The Muppet Show songs and being the sound and voice of the piano playing dog Rowlf.
Early life
Scott was born in Biggleswade on 25 December 1921 and educated at Bedford Modern School. He showed precocious musical talent becoming a member of the Royal College of Organists at the age of 15.
During World War II, Scott served in the RAF. As a member of Ralph Reader’s Gang Show, he toured Europe and North Africa with a scattering of aspiring comedians including Peter Sellers and Tony Hancock. After the war, "Scott accompanied the comedian Sid Field in Piccadilly Hayride (Prince of Wales Theatre 1946) and worked as a stooge with Terry-Thomas."

Derek Edward Scott (born 8 February 1958) is an English former professional footballer. He played as a right-sided full-back and was club captain. He married manager Brian Miller's daughter and played alongside Dave Miller. His two sons Chris and Paul also went onto play for Burnley

Derek addresses Bon's alcohol abuse issues. Some mystery still surrounds the circumstances of the AC/DC singer's death, but it's known he died from alcohol poisoning in what authorities infamously classified "death by misadventure."
"He did get bored very quickly," Derek says of Bon, the influential AC/DC frontman whose real name was Ronald Scott. "That was the biggest problem. When he got bored, he drank. He never worried about tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day." 💡

In a world exclusive, Australian Story unravels the legend of AC/DC front man Bon Scott, who was on the verge of becoming an international rock star when he died at age 33.
For the first time ever, the program has been granted access to Bon’s family and friends who provide fresh insights into his vulnerabilities and state of mind leading up to his untimely death in London in 1980.
The program features the first interview with Bon’s younger brother Derek and is introduced by Brian Johnson, Bon’s successor with the band.
Bruce Howe, a former bandmate who shared a house with Bon for five years, noticed a big change when he last saw him in late 1979.
“He wasn’t bubbly and laughing. Maybe he’d come to the state where he’d achieved his dream, he found his holy grail, but found that his holy grail might have looked like an empty goblet,” he told the program.
To this day, Bon Scott is considered one of the world’s best rock and roll singers.

This video describes how shame gets taken into our personality system and can feel like it is at our core, like it is the "real me"; but is in fact held as a burden by a part of us. Other, protective parts feel compelled to ensure the shame doesn't get triggered; or quickly distract from it when it does by whatever means necessary.
Once identified this burdensome feeling and belief can be released using the IFS (Internal Family System) protocol.
