I've been looking for a copy that was under 50 dollars for well over a year but man did I get lucky. This being released in 97, correct me if I'm wrong, this is his first album after his pardon for his "self-defense" incident (probably would have done what he did under the circumstances). Being most well known for the song "Old Violin" that from what I've read, he wrote while in jail. In my opinion, also being the general opinion, this has the best version of that song. It is the only track that was "co-produced" by Paycheck (according to the back of the LP) and being his own favorite song (based on his own words in the 90's with him also responding when asked about Take This Job and Shove by basically saying I didn't write that song so it's personal meaning was not very high)I really think it is mostly for the version off Difference in Me having the stupid chorus that seems to plague that album. Modern Times is a very good in my opinion and in a way is still relevant. Most of the songs on this are great and I really enjoy, mostly because I really love Paycheck's stuff where I've read in reviews that this is a lacking album that really only has Old Violin. I'll let you guys judge and comment on how y'all feel about his album. The only song I detest is Jole Blon, sounds like a track off Mario 64, the one where you race the snowman. The accordion was definitely not used right, at all. The original capture was lacking in life, so I played with the equalizer settings and bumped the bass and some of the midrange a bit considering it was almost non-existent.
