Princess Margaret has had a low royal profile for nearly 20 years. At 66 her life provides few headlines. But recently she stepped back into the spotlight with a stining rebuke to the Duchess of York. In a letter she told her Not once have you hung your head in embarassment. Clearly you have never considered the damage you have caused us all. How dare you discredit us like this? But Margaret had herself already tarnished the royal image. When she returned from Mustique in 1976 she was in disgrace because she had been exposed by the press with a lover 17 years her junior. It was she who was the first member of the house of windsor to divorce. She who was the first to be publicly criticized. Margaret has at times wanted to be the most royal of the royals at others a rebel. Her life has been spent trying to resolve these contradictions.

STORYLINE:
Members of the British royal family bid a final farewell to Princess Margaret at Windsor Castle on Friday, 50 years after her father, King George VI, was buried nearby.
The service at Saint George's Chapel was private, though a subdued crowd of nearly three thousand wellwishers had gathered outside the gates.
The principal mourners were Margaret's children, Viscount Linley and Lady Sarah Chatto, along with the queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Margaret's former husband, the Earl of Snowdon.
The 101-year-old Queen Mother arrived in a people carrier and entered the building through a different entrance to the rest of her family.
Some 450 people, including more than 30 royals, attended the funeral service for the 71-year-old younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II.
The princess's rose-covered coffin was shrouded in her red, blue and gold-coloured personal standard during the funeral service.
Following cremation at nearby Slough Crematorium, Margaret's ashes were to be placed in the Royal Vault at Saint George's Chapel.

Buckingham Palace says Britain's Princess Margaret is ill and has undergone medical tests.
Margaret, 70, who is the sister of Queen Elizabeth II, was absent from the royal family's Christmas Eve and Christmas Day church services this year.
Margaret had been in bed at the royal Sandringham estate over the holidays, and a doctor visited on Saturday and again on Sunday, said a palace spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The palace did not comment on the nature of the illness or the treatment.
Margaret suffered serious burns to her legs and feet in an accident in the Caribbean in 1999.
The previous year she suffered a stroke while on holiday in the Caribbean, and returned to London's King Edward the Seventh Hospital where she was admitted for treatment.
The Princess was a heavy smoker, and in 1985 a small part of her left lung was surgically removed.
Up until the operation she had smoked 60 cigarettes a day.
The exact nature of the tests that the Princess has undertaken is being kept confidential, but the results are expected in the next few days.

"Mum" seems to think there is no harm in this, as long as Joyce doesn't take part in the physical activities. Harold gets caught up in a web of deceit and blackmail and each time he tries to break free of the grasp of "Mum" she threatens to tell the police that he has been abusing Joyce. The film continues much in this line, and it examines the effect of the relationship on both Harold and Joyce and how they are both driven to extreme action because of the influence of Mrs. Beasley.

Members of the British royal family bid a final farewell to Princess Margaret at Windsor Castle on Friday, 50 years after her father, King George VI, was buried nearby.
The service at Saint George's Chapel was private, though a subdued crowd of nearly three thousand wellwishers had gathered outside the gates.
The principal mourners were Margaret's children, Viscount Linley and Lady Sarah Chatto, along with the queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Margaret's former husband, the Earl of Snowdon.
The 101-year-old Queen Mother arrived in a people carrier and entered the building through a different entrance to the rest of her family.
Some 450 people, including more than 30 royals, attended the funeral service for the 71-year-old younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II.
The princess's rose-covered coffin was shrouded in her red, blue and gold-coloured personal standard during the funeral service.
Following cremation at nearby Slough Crematorium, Margaret's ashes were to be placed in the Royal Vault at Saint George's Chapel.

In the family room, deep teal blue grasscloth walls are a bold backdrop to the mid-century modern furnishings, while copper grasscloth walls in the two-storey library feel both cozy and grand. Around the corner is the grey eat-in kitchen, complete with a butler-worthy pantry, a range hood that’s clad in the same opalized grey tiles as the backsplash, and French doors that face the courtyard. A curved banquette and breakfast bar on the island make the space ideal for entertaining.

Grand Prize Oakville Showhome- Fall 2015- Princess Margaret Lottery Vlog- Join us on our tour of the Oakville Showhome. This home was absolutely stunningly luxurious, elegant, and beautiful. The attention to detail was prevalent in this home through gorgeous light fixtures, unique accessories, wall and window coverings, and beautifully manicured landscaping. Must see: Huge mural-like artwork on the dining room wall, and in shower sink in the master bedroom.. And of course the mini-golf course in the basement, with the cosiest family theatre, and zen massage room, ultra modern kitchen, and backyard gazebo. Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon CI GCVO GCStJ (Margaret Rose; 21 August 1930 – 9 February 2002), was the only sibling of Queen Elizabeth II and the younger daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Margaret spent much of her childhood years in the company of her older sister and parents. Her life changed dramatically in 1936, when her paternal uncle, King Edward VIII, abdicated to marry the twice divorced American Wallis Simpson. Margaret's father became King, and her older sister became heiress presumptive with Margaret second in line to the throne. During World War II, the two sisters stayed at Windsor Castle, despite suggestions to evacuate them to Canada. A documentary based on the life of John Bindon, real-life London villain who took on acting roles after Ken Loach cast him as a crook in the film 'Poor Cow'. Thereafter he generally played variations on the same theme. Contributors include girl-friend actress Vicki Hodge,who was shocked by some of the things in which he involved her, 'geezer' actors George Sewell and Billy Murray and David Bowie's first wife,Angie,who was taken by his party trick - hanging several pint mugs off his member. Presumably this also appealed to Princess Margaret,with whom he stayed on Mustique,though her nervous staff kept quiet about his criminal connections. After being acquitted of murder Bindon died of AIDS at the age of fifty.

Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon CI GCVO GCStJ (Margaret Rose; 21 August 1930 – 9 February 2002), was the only sibling of Queen Elizabeth II and the younger daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
Margaret spent much of her childhood years in the company of her older sister and parents. Her life changed dramatically in 1936, when her paternal uncle, King Edward VIII, abdicated to marry the twice divorced American Wallis Simpson. Margaret's father became King, and her older sister became heiress presumptive with Margaret second in line to the throne. During World War II, the two sisters stayed at Windsor Castle, despite suggestions to evacuate them to Canada. During the war years, Margaret was considered too young to perform any official duties, and instead continued her education.

Thereafter he generally played variations on the same theme. Contributors include girl-friend actress Vicki Hodge,who was shocked by some of the things in which he involved her, 'geezer' actors George Sewell and Billy Murray and David Bowie's first wife,Angie,who was taken by his party trick - hanging several pint mugs off his member. Presumably this also appealed to Princess Margaret,with whom he stayed on Mustique,though her nervous staff kept quiet about his criminal connections. After being acquitted of murder Bindon died of AIDS at the age of fifty.
