Here is a music video of Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio. This is an amazing hotel resort and waterpark that I would strongly recommend visiting sometime! It is a very clean, beautiful, and well themed resort with a huge arcade and indoor waterpark!

NOTE: These were recorded with permission from Kalahari. Cameras are allowed as long as they are attached to you by wrist. Head gear is not allowed. After being told I was not allowed to use it by a few people I decided to ask a head guard who said it was okay as long it was secured to my wrist. I recommend asking a head guard before taking videos on the slides at this park.

Our family has had the opportunity to travel and experience quite a bit the first few years of our daughter's life. We had the luxury of time to do this. For those who don't have time there is tremendous pressure to make sure the time you do have to explore with your family is best used. What is going on Ladies and Gentlemen?
In this video, we set out to tackle Kalahari Waterpark and Resort. It is a huge indoor waterpark located in Sandusky Ohio. I have driven past a ton, but never got a chance to go and it was awesome. They have water slides that go from inside the building, outside, and then back inside again. There were swim up bars, hot tubs, wave pools, lazy rivers, flow rider surfing machines, you name it. We grabbed some amazing habatchi while we were there too. This video is a highlight of some of the attractions.

Learning to use my GoPro Hero3 on a water tube slide called Victoria Falls at Kalahari waterpark in Sandusky Ohio. Shortly after filming this, I was approached by a Kalahari Waterpark staff member who kindly advised me that GoPro video cameras are not permitted on the water slides, and I was advised not to do it again. They do, however, allow videography in the pools and other areas, just not on the tube slides.

Kalahari Desert
The Kalahari Desert (in Afrikaans: Kalahari-woestyn) is a large semi-arid sandy savannah in southern Africa extending 900,000 square kilometres (350,000 sq mi), covering much of Botswana, parts of Namibia (previously South West Africa), and South Africa. A semi-desert, with huge tracts of excellent grazing after good rains, the Kalahari supports more animals and plants than a true desert, such as the Namib Desert to the west. There are small amounts of rainfall and the summer temperature is very high. The driest areas usually receive 110–200 millimetres (4.3–7.9 in) of rain per year, and the wettest just a little over 500 millimetres (20 in). The surrounding Kalahari Basin covers over 2,500,000 square kilometres (970,000 sq mi) extending farther into Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, and encroaching into parts of Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Kalahari is home to many migratory birds and animals. Previously havens for wild animals from elephants to giraffes, and for predators such as lions and cheetahs, the riverbeds are now mostly grazing spots, though leopards and cheetahs can still be found. The area is now heavily grazed and cattle fences restrict the movement of wildlife. Among deserts of the Southern Hemisphere, the Kalahari most closely resembles some Australian deserts in its latitude and its mode of formation. The Kalahari Desert came into existence approximately sixty million years ago along with the formation of the African continent.

What is going on Ladies and Gentlemen?
In this video, we set out to tackle Kalahari Waterpark and Resort. It is a huge indoor waterpark located in Sandusky Ohio. I have driven past a ton, but never got a chance to go and it was awesome. They have water slides that go from inside the building, outside, and then back inside again. There were swim up bars, hot tubs, wave pools, lazy rivers, flow rider surfing machines, you name it. We grabbed some amazing habatchi while we were there too. This video is a highlight of some of the attractions.

Learning to use my GoPro Hero3 on a water tube slide called Victoria Falls at Kalahari waterpark in Sandusky Ohio. Shortly after filming this, I was approached by a Kalahari Waterpark staff member who kindly advised me that GoPro video cameras are not permitted on the water slides, and I was advised not to do it again. They do, however, allow videography in the pools and other areas, just not on the tube slides.

When viewing the Kalahari from the air, it is soon clear that in spite of its arid appearance, it does not only consist of desert terrain. Indeed, its extensive and dry savannah is home to a variety of vegetation zones and a surprisingly large number of plants and animals.
Covering an incredible 2.5 million square kilometres, the Kalahari extends across more than 9 African countries. In the north, it borders the Zaire Delta and in the south, it stretches between the Atlantic and West Zambia. The largest area of the Kalahari is situated in Botswana, one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world. With less than 3 people per square kilometre, it is hardly surprising that it is such an isolated region.
Amid the African wilderness we arrive at a luxurious lodge that is surrounded by several beautiful old trees, Deception Valley Lodge.
A few years ago, the owners of the lodge came to an arrangement with the nearby members of the San tribe where some of them would act as guides for their guests. The Bushmen of the Kalahari have a long and proud history and it is believed that the first settlement of the ancestors of the San was established here around 100,000 years ago.
The bushmen accompany us on our trip into the desert which is also their home. Nobody knows the mysteries of the desert better than the San tribesmen. For thousands of years, their knowledge and experience has been handed down from one generation to the next. Without the knowledge gained from their ancestors, it would be impossible to meet the challenge of everyday life in the desert. A walk through the dry savannah provides outsiders with a hint of the tough way of life of the bushmen.
The Kalahari is most certainly not just another African desert, it is a very unique world of its own!

Originally the reserve was set up in 1961 to protect the natural resources on which the San Hunter-gatherer-lifestyle depended.
As there is little or no surface water, the game rely on artificial water holes scattered through the park.
Other than Deception, these water holes offer good game viewing like those at Sundays Pan and Letiahau.
After good rains, the harsh landscape is transferred into a green haven for thousands of springbok, gemsbok and wildebeest.
Giraffe, cheetah, hyena, jackal and lion also roam the valley.

They are Bushmen, one of the most legendary ethnic groups in Africa. The Kalahari Bushmen have for more than twenty five thousand years lived in harmony with nature in this semi-desert that is also a hostile environment. However, they have managed to survive without disrupting the ecology of their surroundings. Within the branches of a tree our two guides discover the remains of a dead creature that a lion has left in order that it can retrieve it later in the day. As the tree is surrounded by bones it appears that the lion appears to favour this particular location. We continue our walkabout through the dry savannah while the two bushmen provide us with a very welcome sense of security. Despite its desert-like appearance, the Kalahari contains around two hundred and fifty edible plants. The gathering of plants is one of the main duties of the women while hunting has always been a male domain. Only here in this relatively small area of the Kalahari is there still a home for the legendary Bushmen. Desperate, but far from defeated, they attempt to preserve their cultural heritage for future generations to come.

It is located on Chief’s Island, the largest island in the region. In recent years further private wildlife reserves have been established that are well worth a visit and are also strictly controlled and protected natural habitats. Amid the African wilderness we arrive at a luxurious lodge that is not only the ideal starting point for many safaris but also provides a good degree of relaxation after an exhausting day out. Other reserves include the Central Kalahari Game Reserve located in the Kalahari desert in Ghanzi District; Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Nxai Pan National Park are in Central District in the Makgadikgadi Pan. Mashatu Game Reserve is privately owned: located where the Shashe River and Limpopo River meet in eastern Botswana. The other privately owned reserve is Mokolodi Nature Reserve near Gaborone. There are also specialised sanctuaries like the Khama Rhino Sanctuary (for rhinoceros) and Makgadikgadi Sanctuary (for flamingos). They are both located in Central District. In addition to the delta and desert areas, there are grasslands and savannas, where blue wildebeest, antelopes, and other mammals and birds are found. Northern Botswana has one of the few remaining large populations of the endangered African wild dog. Chobe National Park, found in the Chobe District, has the world's largest concentration of African elephants. The park covers about 11,000 km2 (4,247 sq mi) and supports about 350 species of birds.
The Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve (in the Okavango Delta) are major tourist destinations. Other reserves include the Central Kalahari Game Reserve located in the Kalahari desert in Ghanzi District; Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Nxai Pan National Park are in Central District in the Makgadikgadi Pan. Mashatu Game Reserve is privately owned: located where the Shashe River and Limpopo River meet in eastern Botswana. The other privately owned reserve is Mokolodi Nature Reserve near Gaborone. There are also specialised sanctuaries like the Khama Rhino Sanctuary (for rhinoceros) and Makgadikgadi Sanctuary (for flamingos). They are both located in Central District. Covering a total area of more than fifteen thousand square kilometres the Okawango River is the largest inland delta in the world. It flows from the Bihé Highlands in Angola and travels down to the less elevated regions of the Kalahari Desert until it finally divides into a variety of creeks.The delta’s relatively few visitors mean that the landscape is well protected and it also means that those who do come here can enjoy the scenery undisturbed. Rann’s Camp has a first class range of facilities but such service comes at a price and it costs several hundred dollars per person per night, but to calm the shock one can enjoy a relaxing bathe in the camp’s cool swimming pool. Wildlife abounds on the innumerable islands of the Okavango Delta that, with their lush vegetation, are a true paradise for many kinds of herbivore. Today the islands of the delta are not frequented by poachers because the terrain is far too difficult and inaccessible for them. Thus in these parts, the elephant, the largest mammal in Africa, is in no danger of being shot for its ivory tusks. Most of the Delta’s giraffes live on the seventy-five kilometre long and twenty-five kilometre wide, Chief’s Island. In addition to its lush vegetation and diverse natural habitats, the lagoons, swamps and forests of the Delta make it one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. The Okavango Delta is one of the last great wildernesses in Africa and is something altogether special. The scenery is so beautiful that it often resembles a wonderful painting, than mere reality, a place in which myth and the captivating magic of Africa have survived right up to the present day.

It's not just a film about the Kalahari desert animals, this in depth documentary also delves in the ecosystem of the Kalahari desert plants
A short synopsis follows so if you prefer to watch over reading, stop right here and play the video, you won't be disappointed.
The story starts with the desert impala and how the rut plays a part in the breeding process. In the background there is danger in the form of the fastest animal on land, the cheetah. The cheetah do themselves have their own nemesis, the powerful jawed hyena.
The wildebeest and kudu are the next wild animals to be featured, and emphasis is on the type of foods that these animals prefer.
The eating habit and methods of the elephant are discussed on how they help the surrounding animals and plants. The elephants have a larger part to play in this documentary, and unfortunately it's not all good for some poor baby orphaned elephant.
New pups are on the way for a pack of wild dogs, who are on the lookout for a new den.
The other noteworthy animals that are featured are giraffe, numerous birds, baboons, crocodiles.
This documentary was written and directed by William Taylor, and narrated excellently by Gary Marshal.
