Clapped out in the sense that this bus has the following: 1) Spontaneous and sporadic overevving in first gear 2) Down on power whenever it feels like it (generally on inclines) This bus was ordered by First Centrewest for route E10 in 2009, First surrendered and this bus became part of Metroline's, branded uner the Metroline West name. Route E10 was lost to Arriva TGM in 2014 and the buses DMS44414-9 were sold to Ensign. Go-Ahead London bought these with the intent for the then-rumoured 424/485 change which went out to consultation more recently and failed. Initially these were all put to use at either Camberwell (Q) for the Elephant & Castle works requiring more PVR for routes 360/P5, Rainham (BE) and Orpington (MB). SEN39/42 came in from Camberwell (Q) to cascade LDP287/8 for sale and are with Phoenix of Blyth in Manchester. SEN40 which was a spare or allocated to route 146, also transferred to Stockwell (SW) but as a logistical spare which is always in service and mostly found on route 322 but of course also strays on 315.
