David Oliver may refer to:
David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ;ISO 259-3 Dawid; Arabic: داوُد Dāwūd; Syriac: ܕܘܝܕ Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David; Strong's: Daveed) was, according to the Books of Samuel, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and according to the New Testament, an ancestor of Jesus. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040 – 970 BCE, his reign over Judah c. 1010–970 BCE.
The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only Old Testament sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan Stele (dated c. 850–835 BCE) contains the phrase בית דוד (bytdwd), read as "House of David", which many scholars confirm to be a likely plausible match to the existence in the mid-9th century BCE of a Judean royal dynasty called the House of David.
Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, and a poet and musician credited for composing much of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is widely viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22.
Oliver is a given name. It is also used as a surname (see Oliver (surname)), in particular of a Scottish sept (see Oliver (Scottish surname)).
It may also refer to:
The 110 metres hurdles, or 110-meter hurdles, is a hurdling track and field event for men. It is included in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympic Games. The female counterpart is the 100 metres hurdles. As part of a racing event, ten hurdles of 1.067 metres (3.5 ft or 42 inches) in height are evenly spaced along a straight course of 110 metres. They are positioned so that they will fall over if bumped into by the runner. Fallen hurdles do not carry a fixed time penalty for the runners, but they have a significant pull-over weight which slows down the run. Like the 100 metres sprint, the 110 metres hurdles begins in the starting blocks.
For the 110 m hurdles, the first hurdle is placed after a run-up of 13.72 metres (45 ft) from the starting line. The next nine hurdles are set at a distance of 9.14 metres (30 ft) from each other, and the home stretch from the last hurdle to the finish line is 14.02 metres (46 ft) long.
The Olympic Games have included the 110 metre hurdles in their program since 1896. The equivalent hurdles race for women was run over a course of 80 metres from 1932 to 1968. Starting with the 1972 Summer Olympics, the women's race was set at 100 metres. In the early 20th century, the race was often contested as 120 yard hurdles, thus the Imperial units distances between hurdles.
David Michael Krieg (/ˈkreɪɡ/ KRAYG; born October 20, 1958) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League. He attended Milton College and made the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. In his 19-year NFL career, Krieg played for the Seahawks (1980–1991), the Kansas City Chiefs (1992–1993), the Detroit Lions (1994), the Arizona Cardinals (1995), the Chicago Bears (1996) and the Tennessee Oilers (1997–1998).
At Milton, an obscure and now-defunct small private college in Milton, Wisconsin, Krieg began as the 7th-string quarterback for his school's NAIA team. Given the opportunity to play in the fourth game of his freshman season, he completed four passes—three of them for touchdowns—and continued to play well enough to start for the rest of his college career.
Krieg is one of the most prolific passers in NFL history, ranking among the all-time top 15 in most passing categories.
In 19 seasons, Krieg played in 213 games, completed 58.5 percent of his passes (3,105 for 5,311) for 38,147 passing yards, 261 touchdowns, 199 interceptions and an 81.5 rating. He also had 417 rushing attempts for 1,261 yards and 13 touchdowns and 3 pass receptions for 10 yards. His regular season career win-loss record of 98-77 is good for 15th all time amongst NFL quarterback.

Plot: Lucas Thomas's grandmother Caroline returns every Valentine's Day to the station where, at their then first wedding anniversary, she waved off to the pacific war theatre in 1944 naval pilot Neil, officially still missing in action. Lucas, a former baseball star and reputable physiotherapist about to publish, tells the story to a station manager, who assigns the item to Susan Allison. She gets involved and befriends Caroline, but resists her crush on Lucas on account of an already soulless engagement with international reporter Andrew Hawthorne. Caroline's mild cardiac crisis seems to ruin everything.

Last month, Random House Canada sent me a copy of David Lebovitz's new book My Paris Kitchen for review. I normally shoot still-photos for cookbook reviews, however, filming my own video is something I've wanted to do for a REALLY long time (I've had my Vimeo account for THREE YEARS). After reading through My Paris Kitchen, I thought David's recipe for Black Olive Tapenade would be a simple way to ease into making my own film, so today, after figuring out how to actually use the video function on my Canon 5D Mark II, I shot and edited 'Black Olive Tapenade' (my very first food video!!!) in about two and a half hours.
The project HygroSkin – Meteorosensitive Pavilion by Achim Menges in collaboration with Oliver David Krieg and Steffen Reichert explores a novel mode of climate-responsive architecture. While most attempts towards environmental responsiveness heavily rely on elaborate technical equipment superimposed on otherwise inert material constructs, this project uses the responsive capacity of the material itself. The dimensional instability of wood in relation to moisture content is employed to construct a metereosensitive architectural skin that autonomously opens and closes in response to weather changes but neither requires the supply of operational energy nor any kind of mechanical or electronic control. Here, the material structure itself is the machine. Project Team Achim Menges Architec...
