First published in 1861, it has covered news and views about its residents and events in Sale, Maffra, Heyfield, Stratford and surrounding areas during this time.

Our mission in the 21st Century is to be the premier media outlet in Wellington Shire through an active and sustainable partnership with the community.

Our vision is to continue our role of being a leader of news and views in the district with our service second to none.
