Rising from the dead, a curly black mane and a virile beard are just some of the features with which Jon Snow has become identified.
But now that Game of Thrones season six has wrapped up and Kit Harington has moved out of Winterfell for the time being, he has decided to change his look, shaving off his facial hair to show a face as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Stepping out in Canada on Monday as he films scenes for Xavier Dolan's The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, the King of the North - with apparent Targaryen blood - was unrecognisable, taking what seemed like a decade off his 29 years.
It's unsure how his subjects in the North feel about his clean-shaven look, but GoT fans have been vocal in their concern for his lack of stubble, taking to social media in their droves when he was first seen sans beard last month.
"Is Jon Snow even Jon Snow with his Jon Snow beard?" one wrote.

Another added: "No Beard = Not Jon Snow."
"Kit Harington shaved his beard and I could feel the tears in my eyes," one said.
If Olly's pesky arrow had not gotten in the way, Ygritte might even have scolded: "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

While everyone swoons or hisses over Harington's new boyish, good looks, the British actor would not be one bit impressed by the scrutiny.
On the topic of his appearance, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Harington pointed out the blatant "double standard" of sexism that is pervasive in Hollywood.
"If you said to a girl, 'Do you like being called a babe?' and she said, 'No, not really,' she'd be absolutely right.
"I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks," Harington said.
"It's demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I've been employed for a look I have. But there's a sexism that happens towards men. There's definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well."
