Ding Dong
The Ding Dong is a chocolate cake produced and distributed in the United States by Hostess Brands and currently owned by private equity firms Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co; it remains in production and distribution in Canada from Saputo Incorporated under the name King Don. Ding Dong production resumed in the United States on July 15, 2013, after an absence from American store shelves. It is round with a flat top and bottom, close to three inches in diameter and slightly taller than an inch high, similar in shape to a hockey puck. A white creamy filling is injected into the center, and a thin coating of chocolate glaze covers the entire cake. The cake was originally wrapped in a square of thin aluminium foil, enabling it to be carried in lunches without melting the chocolate glaze.
History and naming
The Ding Dong is similar to other cream-filled cakes such as Arcade Vachon's Jos. Louis introduced before 1934. Hostess began marketing its Ding Dong in 1967. The name was given to coincide with a television ad campaign featuring a ringing bell. Hostess went out of business on November 16, 2012, stopping all production. In June 2013, the new Hostess Brands reopened a Kansas product plant and announced that Ding Dongs production would resume on July 15, 2013.

San Juan de los Lagos
San Juan de los Lagos is a town and municipality located in the northeast corner of the state of Jalisco, Mexico, in a region known as Los Altos. It is best known as the home of a small image of the Virgin Mary called Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos or in Nahuatl Cihuapilli, which means “Great Lady.” Since the first major miracle ascribed to her in 1632, she has been venerated especially for cases involving mortal danger. The miracles ascribed to her have made the basilica in which she is found a major tourist attraction, which has shaped the town’s history to this day. The economy of the town is still heavily dependent on the flow of pilgrims which has amounted to between seven and nine million people per year.
The town
Many of the buildings in the center of the town are made of pink sandstone dating as far back as the 17th century, with the streets fanning out from the main square. There are twenty two historically notable buildings in the town. These include four parish churches in the municipality, Sangre de Cristo, San Jose, San Juan Bautista and Sagrada Familia and two chapels Primer Milagro and El Calvario.

Cuando realizaba trabajo de campo para mi disco "La Cañada, árbol de cantos y voces" en el 2007, llegué hasta el campanario de la Basílica de San Juan de los Lagos pues necesitaba registrar el sonido de sus campanas. Me sorprendí al ver como este chico solo era capaz de crear todo un repique de campanas. Para todos los que han escuchado las bellas campanas en San Juan de los Lagos ya podrán saber que sucede arriba en los campanarios. Felicidades a todos los campaneros y gracias por permitirme estar ahí tocando el cielo con esta música maravillosa. -

Campanas de San Juan de los Lagos

Cuando realizaba trabajo de campo para mi disco "La Cañada, árbol de cantos y voces" en el 2007, llegué hasta el campanario de la Basílica de San Juan de los Lagos pues necesitaba registrar el sonido de sus campanas. Me sorprendí al ver como este chico solo era capaz de crear todo un repique de campanas. Para todos los que han escuchado las bellas campanas en San Juan de los Lagos ya podrán saber que sucede arriba en los campanarios. Felicidades a todos los campaneros y gracias por permitirme estar ahí tocando el cielo con esta música maravillosa.

So this week we're excited to be exploring Dublin and we're planning to spend an entire week here. This video is going to highlight 25 things to do around the city. Dublin is where most trips in Ireland begin, so before seeing the rest of the country, Audrey and I spent a whole week getting to know the capital. When the weather cooperated we walked around the city, toured Trinity College, and visited the botanical gardens, and when it poured rain as it often does in this part of the world, we just popped into a pub for some Irish stew and a pint of Guinness. The following video will show you a few of the different things to do in Dublin, Ireland.

Trinity College was founded in 1592 and it is the oldest university in Ireland. The campus is open to visitors interested in touring the grounds, and you'll also get to hear some fascinating stories of famous students, including the likes of Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, and Bram Stoker.
The Guinness Storehouse is Dublin's most popular attraction, and it's a must-visit for beer lovers. The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped like a pint of Guinness. Inside you'll also find a copy of the 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness on the brewery site - they won't be going anywhere for a while!
Grafton Street is one of the main shopping areas in Dublin. You're likely to find lots of musicians, buskers, and performers along here, plus you get a good vantage point of The Spire.
Prior to the establishment of Glasnevin Cemetery, Irish Catholics had no place of their own to bury their dead. This burial ground gave both Irish Catholics and Protestants a place where they could give their dead dignified burial, and it has since become the resting place for people of all religions and non religions.
Experience Gaelic Games is a place where you can come and try traditional Irish sports like hurling and Gaelic football.
The Old Jameson Distillery is the original site where Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. It is now a visitor centre that offers both guided tours and whiskey tastings.
Temple Bar is an area known for its lively nightlife. Located on the southbank of the River Liffey, you'll find all sorts of pubs playing live music once the sun goes down. There's also one pub in Temple Bar, called The Temple Bar, but don't let that confuse you.

Join us as we visit Stellenbosch, South Africa showcasing the best things to do in Stellenbosch in this travel guide to the Cape Winelands region of the Western Cape. Our focus was of course touring around world class vineyards and wine farms in and around Stellenbosch; however, we also covered some of best outdoor activities and cultural experiences such as going on a vineyard segway tour, wine safari, visiting a township and eating a local Xhosa meal. Stellenbosch town has numerous attractions worth visiting and a wonderful cafe, restaurant and nightlife scene. Fortunately, we had a chance to explore on foot and bicycle to see a different side of town. Overall, our Stellenbosch travel guide covers sipping wine, gourmet eating and fun activities for couples, friends and/or families.

Things to do in Stellenbosch, South Africa Travel Guide Video Transcript:
On our very first trip to South Africa we spent one day in Stellenbosch where we did a wine tour and hit up a total of 5 wineries. It was an action packed day but we knew we had only seen a fraction of what this place has to offer and we were itching to return! Fast forward two years, and we found ourselves with an invitation to come and experience Stellenbosch, this time with a week to spare. Naturally we said yes! This being the winelands meant that our itinerary was wine heavy, but we also got to see sample the food, visit the markets, check out the nightlife and get close to nature. The following is our travel guide to Stellenbosch, pour yourself a glass of wine, sit back, and join us on this ride!
In between all the feasting and vineyard hopping, we also found a bit of time to explore Stellenbosch itself. Stellenbosch is a charming town located in the Western Cape, and it’s the second oldest European settlement in the province after Cape Town. The streets are lined with oak trees, the buildings are all painted white, and you have a cool mix of Early Cape, Cape Dutch, and Victorian architecture.
And while Sam was off hiking, I did a biking tour of Stellenbosch with the Adventure Shop, where I learned a bit more about the town’s history, and got out in nature, before biking over to the Lanzerac Wine Estate where we met up with the group again. Here we had a light lunch featuring a spread of cheese, deli meats, fresh fruits, and of course, wine!
And just like that our week in Stellenbosch was over! I think it’s fair to say that we left a few pounds heavier, but with a newfound appreciation for South African wine and a taste of what the winelands have to offer. Tsukiji is set to move to a new location soon so we went for a visit this month.

Why is Tsukiji Tokyo's biggest attraction?
Maybe it's because it's not a tourist attraction at all. This is a real market where many of Japan's best sushi chefs get their ingredients.
It's raw and real.
Tsukiji is essentially a city within a city. It has its own way of doing things.
There are many rules to visiting Tsukiji.
You should wear long pants, boots (if you have them – the floor is wet and full of fish guts), and you should be considerate of people's privacy, especially the sushi chefs shopping. The security guards have no trouble tossing you out at the gate!
Photography is prohibited until 09:00 for privacy concerns. They are quite strict about this in the inner market.
Breakfast:
Should you eat at Sushi Dai? If you like waiting in line to eat the same fish at restaurants all around the area, go for it! There is no quality difference between restaurants in the inner market and those on the outside – all the ingredients come from the same place.
We went into a stand in the outer market to see and yes, it was great!
No haggling / bargaining in Tsukiji. The price is the price.

TV program about the secrets of the pickpockets in Barcelona and Benidorm, Spain. No copyright infringement intended. This video is being shared to make people aware of the scams, and know how to avoid them. Another reason for uploading this video is to make the law makers in Spain know how serious the issue is, and hopefully change the ridiculous law that protects pickpockets that stills less than €400. A pickpocket in Spain can only be detained if caught stealing more than €400 or have many repeat offences. If they are caught with less than € 400 they will only receive a fine and leave, and will be free to rob tourists again. At the moment, the only solution for the tourists is to protect themselves from the thieves using a few techniques explained in this video.
