Hatred Between Black Men and Black Women Needs To Stop

The 3 main issues facing African-American people? 1. Negative Male/Female Relationships One of the major challenges facing many African-Americans is the lack of positive role models in regards to male/female relationships. Ideally positive examples of male/female relationships should be exhibited to African-American children by their parents. In seeing how their parents interact within a positive relationship the African-American child will come to understand what a positive relationship looks like, how it functions, and how to realize a positive relationship when they come of age. In the absence of such an example many African-Americans are resigned to setting very low standards as to the quality of relationships that they have with their species half. These low standards inevitably leads to negative male-female relationships and broken family institutions. 2. Broken Families One of the greatest struggles facing African-Americans is the disproportionate amount of single parent households. Broken families are a major contributor to the plight facing young African-American children. In the absence of cohesive family units many African-American children are being raised in imbalanced family structures. These imbalances can have a negative impact on the growth and development of African-American children. Furthermore, these levels of imbalance are often interpreted as an archetypal framework through which young African-American children are driven to accept dysfunctional family dynamics as a social norm. In such cases, the cycle of broken families are likely to be passed down to future generations. 3. Economic mis-education / lack of financial education / lack of financial responsibility. Many of the challenges that African-Americans face are directly related to a lack of finances, misdirected finances, financial irresponsibility, and poverty consciousness. The issues of positive male/female relationship, broken families, and economic mis-education are all interconnected and have a major impact on how African-American men and women relate to each other. The internet can provide a clear view as to the levels of hate that are expressed by African-American men towards African-American women and the levels of hate that are expressed by African-American women towards African-American men. The levels of hatred are expressed in both the tone and tenor of the communications that we see amongst many African-American men and women online. The level of disrespect present within such exchanges is indicative of the truth that many African-American men and women have not been taught about what a positive relationship is, how it functions, and how to prepare for such a relationship. Without this basic relationship education the exchanges between many African-American men and women become extremely negative, toxic, spiteful, and overwhelming disrespectful; one only needs to view a few so called "black" videos on youtube and without much effort the viewer will arrive at a video wherein the African-American male speaker is disrespecting black women or the African-American female speaker is disrespecting black men. These types of videos have become more and more common and the amount of attention that these video receive is quite telling. Again, this speaks to the levels of hatred present in not only the producers of such videos but also the levels of hatred present within the viewers who continue to watch and support such demoralizing exchanges between African-American men and women. Whenever men post negative comments and videos about Black women on facebook I block them. I don't have time for men who have nothing better to do than to demean and disrespect black women. Same rule applies to women who post negative comments and videos about Black men on facebook. At some point we have to stop abusing each other and help each other to heal instead. ~ Lenon Honor
