Throwing Copper is the second album by American alternative rock band Live, released on April 19, 1994 on former MCA Records subsidiary Radioactive Records. It was produced by Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads and was recorded at Pachyderm Recording Studio. To date, the album has sold over eight million copies in the United States.
All lyrics written by Ed Kowalczyk, all music composed by Live.
"Horse" is a hidden track and is not mentioned on the album cover. The tracks "Pillar of Davidson" and "Horse" were not included on the vinyl version.
The cover art is a painting by Scottish artist Peter Howson titled Sisters of Mercy. On September 23, 2005 it was sold for $186,000 by Christie's in New York. The painting is oil on canvas and measures 243 × 182 centimeters. It has been suggested that the painting explores the themes of betrayal, revenge, and fear and that it shows a group of prostitutes urging a man holding a bible to throw himself off a cliff.
"Throwing Copper" turned 20 in 2014. We spoke with a few Live fans about the album ahead of former lead singer Ed Kowalczyk's Whitaker Show in October.

Here is another outstanding deep cut from the 20th century. Please feel free to like, share, comment, subscribe, and playlist as you see fit. Since my prior streaming audio provider went belly-up, I'll be uploading as much of my old 3,000+ song playlist onto YouTube as I possibly can... This track was ripped from my personal audio CD collection to PCM and encoded with AAC at 384kbps. Enjoy!
Ultra-Violet Dove painting her torso cast in metallic paint. Part 2 This project will definitely turn out better if you do the first part as a 2 person job! Next time, eh? I'm also just gonna suck up my hair to having a mad scientist / eccentric artist hair day. Hopefully it will grow long enough to throw up soon. To see more of my crazy ideas Please like, share, and subscribe! Thanks for watching! It sounds like the Bamboos but I'm not sure...

I liked the way my hand looked on your head
in the presence of my knuckles
but the beauty of this vision alone just like yesterday's sunset
has been perverted by the sentimental
and mistaken for love
the felix of your truth will always break
it and the iris of your eye will always shake it
and the armies, the armies I have created
will always hate it
will always bait you on
I liked the way my hand looked on your head
in the presence of my struggle
but the beauty of this vision alone I can't shake from my tree just yet
it keeps invading all my private moments
listen to me now
