Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American franchise which spans several media and genres. It began in 1992 with the film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, written by Joss Whedon and directed by Fran Rubel Kuzui, and was resurrected as the television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1997. The show's popularity caused it to spawn a multitude of Expanded Universe tie-in material such as comic books, novels, and video games, as well as a spin-off program entitled Angel. In 2007, four years after the television series' seventh and final season, Buffy the Vampire Slayer was officially continued in the comic book Season Eight. The following is a list of minor recurring characters who appear in the franchise.

Aluwyn

(a.k.a. Saga Vasuki)

Amanda

Amanda is a Potential Slayer who appears in Season Seven, played by Sarah Hagan. A Sunnydale High student and member of the swing choir, she first appears in the episode "Help" as part of the seemingly-random stream of students showing up at Buffy's guidance office. Amanda was sent to Buffy for beating up another student who was picking on her. In the later episode "Potential", it is revealed that Amanda is in fact a Potential Slayer, and she aptly slays a vampire who threatens her and Dawn. Afterwards, Amanda moves into the Summers' residence, where she trains and becomes friends with her fellow Potentials. In the final episode of the show, "Chosen", Amanda is activated as a Slayer along with the other Potentials and battles against an army of Turok-Han vampires. She is last seen falling to the ground dead after her neck was snapped by a Turok-Han. She was the first Potential to kill a vampire and the first one to kill a Turok-Han.

Sweet (Ken Mellons album)

Sweet is the fourth studio album released by American country music artist Ken Mellons. Released in 2004, it contains the song "Paint Me a Birmingham", which was also recorded by Tracy Lawrence and released as a single. Mellons's rendition was also released shortly before Lawrence's. "Smack Dab" was previously recorded by George Jones on his 1998 album It Don't Get Any Better Than This.

Success (The Weather Girls album)

Success is a 1983 studio album originally released by American singing duo The Weather Girls. The album includes the group's biggest hit, "It's Raining Men", which peaked at #1 on the U.S. Dance chart, #46 on the U.S. Pop chart, & #34 on the U.S. R&B chart.

Statlanta

Statlanta is the debut studio album by Atlanta rapper Stat Quo. First recorded and set to be released in 2003, under Shady Records, Aftermath Records and Interscope Records with mentors Eminem and Dr. Dre as executive producers, it was reworked in 7 years not featuring any of the original material recordings, it was released on July 13, 2010 under Sha Money XL's Dream Big Ventures label after many push-backs.

Statlanta debuted at #85 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Production and guests

Statlanta features production from Sha Money XL, Needlz, S1, Boi-1da, Stat Quo himself, among others. Featured guests include Marsha Ambrosius, Antonio McLendon, Brevi, Esthero, Raheem DeVaughn, Devin the Dude, and Talib Kweli. Former mentor Dr. Dre was involved since the recording process, and served as production consultant-supervisor, he helped Stat Quo along with Aftermath producer Mike Chav to materialize the album.

A leftover recorded track, entitled "Atlanta on Fire" that features Eminem, does not appear on the album. It has been leaked on the internet before the album was released years later.

Success (magazine)

Success is a business magazine in the United States published by Success Partners L.P. (formerly VideoPlus). According to the company, the magazine is "designed specifically to serve the growing entrepreneur," and provides personal and professional development.

History

Success was established in 1897 by Orison Swett Marden as a manifesto for his “New Thought Philosophy,” which taught positive thinking, life skills and discipline. During its early years, Success contained literary contributions of several notable new thought writers such as Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone.

Relaunch

Success was acquired by VideoPlus L.P. in 2007. VideoPlus, established in 1987, produces educational and marketing materials for the direct selling industry, as well as sponsored and custom publications.

The April/May 2008 issue marked the relaunch of Success, as a bi-monthly magazine. Success moved to a monthly print schedule in September 2008. Darren Hardy serves as the magazine's publisher.

Spice (Canadian band)

Spice was a Winnipeg band of the 1970s. First known as Sugar 'n' Spice, the group had a hit in 1971 with "Cruel War."
