Romeo Miller

Percy Romeo Miller, Jr. (born August 19, 1989), better known by his stage name Maserati Rome or simply Rome (formerly Lil' Romeo and Romeo) or his acting/business name Romeo Miller, is an American rapper, actor, basketball player, entrepreneur, and model. Miller is the son of well known rap mogul Master P. Miller has founded record label's Guttar Music, Take A Stand, The Next Generation & his current label No Limit Forever. Miller still holds the spot of the youngest person to hit #1 on the Billboard 200, a record that was previously held by music icon Michael Jackson.

Miller gained fame and fortune in the early 2000s after signing with his father's popular and successful label at the time No Limit Records with the help of his debut single & most successful single to date "My Baby" which went on to be certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) it established Miller as the youngest person to achieve the #1 spot on the Billboard 200. In 2001 Miller released his debut & most successful album to date Lil 'Romeo it charted the US Billboard 200 at number six & went on to be certified gold, selling over 500,000 copies.

Geto Boys

Geto Boys (originally spelled Ghetto Boys) is a rap group from Houston, Texas, currently consisting of Willie D and Bushwick Bill. The Geto Boys have earned notoriety for their lyrics which cover controversial topics such as misogyny, gore, psychotic experiences, and necrophilia.

About.com ranked them No. 10 on its list of the 25 Best Rap Groups of All-Time, describing them as "southern rap pioneers who paved the way for future southern hip-hop acts."

History

The original "Ghetto Boys" consisted first of Raheem, The Sire Jukebox, and Sir Rap-A-Lot. When Raheem and Sir Rap-A-Lot left, the group added DJ Ready Red, Prince Johnny C, and Little Billy (the dancer who later came to be known as Bushwick Bill). The first single the group released was "Car Freak" in 1986, which then followed with two LPs "You Ain't Nothin'/I Run This" in 1987, and "Be Down" in 1988. The group released their debut album in 1988 entitled, Making Trouble. With the release receiving very little attention, the group broke up shortly thereafter and a new line-up was put together with the inclusion of Scarface and Willie D, both aspiring solo artists. This new line-up recorded the 1989 album, Grip It! On That Other Level. The group's 1990 self-titled album, The Geto Boys, caused Def American Recordings, the label to which the group was signed at the time, to switch distributors from Geffen Records to Warner Bros. Records (with marketing for the album done by WB sister label Giant Records) because of controversy over the lyrics.

We Can

"We Can" is the twenty-fourth single by American country pop singer LeAnn Rimes, released on October 28, 2003 by Curb Records from the Legally Blonde 2: Motion Picture Soundtrack and was included on Rimes' Greatest Hits album.

The song charted on only two charts in the US peaking at number seventeen on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Charts and at number nineteen on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. Internationally, the song peaked at number twenty-seven in the UK, forty in New Zealand, ninety-four in the Netherlands and thirty-seven in Ireland.

Two music videos were released for the song. One video features clips taken from the film and is included on the DVD of the film, while the other features actors and was included on the limited edition DVD that original came with Rimes' Greatest Hits album.

Background

"We Can" and a remix of the song was first released on the Legally Blonde 2: Motion Picture Soundtrack, on July 1, 2003 by Curb Records. It was released as a single from the soundtrack on October 28, 2003 by Curb Records. The song was later included on Rimes' Greatest Hits album, which was released on November 18, 2003. In 2004, the song was included on The Best of LeAnn Rimes and the Wildlife Radio Edit of the song was released on the remix edition. It is the third time Rimes would work with American songwriter Diane Warren on a soundtrack.

We Can't Be Stopped

We Can't Be Stopped is the third studio album by Geto Boys, released in 1991. It was among their most successful records in terms of units sold. The album is analysed track-by-track by Geto Boys in Brian Coleman's book Check the Technique.We Can't Be Stopped was certified Platinum in early 1992.

Recording

We Can't Be Stopped took only a few weeks to record. During the recording of the album, DJ Ready Red, one of the original Geto Boys members, left the group for personal reasons.

The title track was a criticism of the Geto Boys' former intended distributor, Geffen Records, after the label refused to distribute the group's previous album, The Geto Boys, because of its violent lyrics. The Bushwick Bill solo, "Fuck a War", is a criticism of then president George Bush, an anti-war song inspired by a close relative of Bill's serving in the Persian Gulf War. The hit single "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" was originally intended to be a Scarface solo with three verses but later became a group song with Bushwick Bill rapping Scarface's last verse. "I'm Not a Gentleman" was a response to Queen Latifah's "Ladies First", while "Chuckie" is a Bushwick Bill solo written by a fellow Rap-A-Lot member, Ganksta N-I-P, after the two watched the movie Child's Play together. The track "Punk Bitch Game" was influenced by Salt of Salt-n-Pepa wanting more female participation in the song, while the album's final track, "Trophy", was about the Geto Boys' frustration over the lack of attention they were receiving from music awards.

Boy

A boy is a young male human, usually a child or adolescent. When he becomes an adult, he is described as a man. The most apparent difference between a typical boy and a typical girl is the genitalia. However, some intersex children with ambiguous genitals, and genetically female transgender children, may also be classified or self-identify as a boy.

The word "boy" comes from Middle English boi, boye ("boy, servant"), related to other Germanic words for boy, namely East Frisian boi ("boy, young man") and West Frisian boai ("boy"). Although the exact etymology is obscure, the English and Frisian forms probably derive from an earlier Anglo-Frisian *bō-ja ("little brother"), a diminutive of the Germanic root *bō- ("brother, male relation"), from Proto-Indo-European *bhā-, *bhāt- ("father, brother"). The root is also found in Flemish boe ("brother"), Norwegian dialectal boa ("brother"), and, through a reduplicated variant *bō-bō-, in Old Norse bófi, Dutch boef "(criminal) knave, rogue", German Bube ("knave, rogue, boy"). Furthermore, the word may be related to Bōia, an Anglo-Saxon personal name.
