Eli Brown - Sumatra (Original Mix)
Available here: https://Toolroom.lnk.to/SumatraTY
Eli Brown is undoubtedly one of the most exciting up and coming UK acts on the house scene at the moment. He first pricked our ears up earlier this year when we picked up ‘Keep On’ as an Ibiza Underground album exclusive. From then he went on to release on Viva, Repopulate Mars, Of Unsound Mind and Sola to boot. So it gives us great pleasure to welcome Eli to the new breed of Toolroom Family as we present his debut EP on the label, ‘Sumatra’.
Eli has created 2 tracks of mammoth proportions here; ‘Sumatra’ is a pure peak-time tech houser that flies along at 100mph with tribal percussion galore and a driving wood-hit that doubles up as a quirky hook. Eastern Jam slows things a little and grooves us out with some stunning tribal chanted voca...

PADANG – West Sumatra – Best Things to do / Highlights – Travel Guide
West Sumatra (Sumatera Barat) – the Land of the Minangkabau – was THE discovery of the year. I have traveled much, but since my visit to Bangladesh, I have not come accross any place that was so raw! Padang is truly wonderful Indonesia, without tourists.
Because Padang is yet not very touristy, it remains relatively cheap. I have spent only 150 SGD in 4 days (450 MYR or 110 USD). This included the hotels, food, national park and island entrance feed, as well as the daily costs of 550’000 IDR (38 USD) for the driver.
The best things that you can do in Padang are visiting the islands, West Sumatra Grand Mosque, Nasi Padang Restaurants, Rice fields in Padang Pariaman and the Museum Adityawarman (not shown as it was closed...

Eastern Jam slows things a little and grooves us out with some stunning tribal chanted vocals making this a perfect EP for Mr Brown to showcase his sound.

The best things that you can do in Padang are visiting the islands, West Sumatra Grand Mosque, Nasi Padang Restaurants, Rice fields in Padang Pariaman and the Museum Adityawarman (not shown as it was closed during my visit).

In January 2009 a resin tapper is brutally attacked and killed in the forests of Sumatra’s Jambi Province. In the following months there are 7 more deaths, each more gruesome than the last. The culprit is a 200 lb Sumatran tiger, a critically endangered species.
But this isn’t the only crime here. Over 60% of Sumatra’s rainforest has disappeared in the last 25 years, cleared by global paper companies and for oil palm plantations and leaving behind a biological desert. Man is not normally on the menu for these tigers but the destruction of their habitat and prey means this majestic predator has been left with no choice. With less than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild it is expected to be the first predator to go extinct this century.
But hope lies with a small group of dedicated individuals. In a race against the clock specially trained forest rangers must find the man-eater before local hunters do. With so few left in the wild Indonesia’s Taman Safari must breed a pure bloodline of Sumatran tigers to save the species from extinction. As time rapidly runs out Zoological Society of London’s Tom Maddox must find a solution to the tiger conflict to save humans from tigers and tigers from humans.

The Sumatran Tiger - The Last of Their Kind | Free Wildlife Documentary
Watch: "Swamp Tigers: Rare Footage of the Royal Bengal Tiger" https://youtu.be/pebAilYAGm8
